What does this message icon mean on a blackberry? so when i send a text message it normally place a check mark with a small D above it. But i just got one with just a check mark, with no D above it. and i was wondering what it meant? oh and i have the blackberry tour, but it may be the same on all blackberry phones.

    check means sent over network
    D means delivered.
    R means read.

  • What does this Bridge message mean?

I have a new Mac (and Photoshop Elements 11) and when I open Bridge I get this message:
    OLSException in OLS Adapter Startup
    /OLS/development/main/bridge/3.2.0/build/mac/../../sdk/src/COLS.cpp#19 : 16
    Should I be worried?
(I've tried using PSE Organizer and I hate it. I'd rather stick with Bridge unless I'm headed for trouble.)
What does this Bridge message mean?

Bridge came with an earlier version of PSE, PSE6 I think. The Organizer comes with PSE 9 and PSE11. Like some other PSE users, I much prefer Bridge to the Organizer. I had no trouble using Bridge with PSE9 and an older Mac. But with PSE11 and my new Mac, I started getting this message. I wonder if anyone knows what this message means, if it portends trouble for me, if there is anything I should do to correct it?
I posted this question on the Elements Forum and was told that it should be addressed on the Bridge Forum.

  • I have many photos that are visible as thumbnails in the Pictures Library, however when I try to open them in a big screen they show a back screen with an exclamation mark in a triangle.  What does this exclamation mark mean ?

I can see my images in the libarary as thumbnails but when i try to edit/email some of them become Exclamation Marks in a triangle.
What does the exclamation mark mean and how to i retrieve the photo

The exclamation make is an indication that iPhoto has broken the file path to the original photo.
Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
    Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
    Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

  • What does this popup message mean that I have been getting since the update

I got the update the other day and now when I open some of my projects this message pops up twice
"the previous selected audio interface is not available. Built in audio input and outputs of the computer will be used instead for this session".
What does this mean? How will it affect my project? or should I just ignore it. I am assuming this must be caused by the new update, since it did it the next day when I opened one of my projects. thanks

You could try to re-select your audio input and output settings under "Preferences > Audio" then save your song, quit and re-launch, and see if the message disappears. Maybe the update did something to your previous audio settings.
    Hopefully this helps.

  • What does this log entry mean  - Cancel initiated for Exchange Producer

Is there anybody who can tell me what could this log entry mean:
--Cancel initiated for Exchange Producer: <<66800621>> DbGateway Exchange*
I'm asking because I have problem. In two physical sources (physical databases) I have two tables TABLE_1 has 60k rows TABLE_2 has 1 row. Next step these tables are "Binary Join" by BI server
    so it looks like here:
-------------------- Sending query to database named OBI (id: <<66800621>>):
    select T7101.SYMBOL as c1,
    T7101.TABLE_1 as c2
    from
    TABLE_1 T7101 /* TABLE_1_ALIAS */
    order by c2
    +++marek.gregor:c350000:c350006:----2010/03/03 13:30:17
-------------------- Sending query to database named OBI_BACK (id: <<66800638>>):
    select T46142.KATEGORIA as c1,
    T46142.FIRMANO as c2
    from
    TABLE_2 T46142
    order by c2
    +++marek.gregor:c350000:c350006:----2010/03/03 13:30:17
    -------------------- Execution Node: <<66800638>>, Close Row Count = 1, Row Width = 24 bytes
    +++marek.gregor:c350000:c350006:----2010/03/03 13:30:17
-------------------- Cancel initiated for Exchange Producer: <<66800621>> DbGateway Exchange
    +++marek.gregor:c350000:c350006:----2010/03/03 13:30:17
-------------------- Execution Node: <<66800621>> DbGateway Exchange, Close Row Count = 3, Row Width = 80 bytes
    +++marek.gregor:c350000:c350006:----2010/03/03 13:30:17

    +++marek.gregor:c350000:c350006:----2010/03/03 13:30:17
-------------------- Execution Node: <<66800654>> Binary Join, Close Row Count = 0, Row Width = 104 bytes

-------------------- Execution Node: <<66800582>> Projection, Close Row Count = 0, Row Width = 76 bytes
As you see first is executed select from TABLE_2 (Node: <<66800638>>, Close Row Count = 1) and this is correct number of close row count
    next we have
Cancel initiated for Exchange Producer:(for node with SELECT ROM TABLE_2) - and I don't know what that's mean
    and after this we have
Execution Node: <<66800621>> DbGateway Exchange, Close Row Count = 3
And this is incorrect number of CloseRowCount (should be aprox. 60k)
Finally result is wrong because we have no records (inner join by BI Server doesn't work :( )
    Thank you for help

I'm wrestling with getting all of this to work myself.
Can you see the job in XGrid Admin? It sounds as if the job is failing, but I can't be sure. Clicking on the job in XGrid Admin should give you a "play by play" and tell you where it is failing.
My experience has shown me that permissions is the root cause of alot of issues, and I cannot find any clear reference on what permissions the "Podcasts" folder needs to make all of this work.
Following the documentation, the "pcastxgrid" user doesn't actually get assigned any permissions via the file system or Group membership, so I'm not sure how all of this needs to be set.
    Hope this helps.

  • Powermac G5 1.8ghz June 2004 - strange issues, what does this ASD code mean

I have a powermac g5 with an issue and I would appreciate any help or input. the machine is air cooled dual 1.8ghz processors. After booting to the 10.4 os, the machine would switch to full fan power after 1-2 mins, eventually leading to a lockup shortly there after. I was wanting to upgrade the hard drive anyhow, so I went ahead put in a new drive a fresh load of 10.4. The same issue occurred, within 1-2 mins of loading the desktop fans would switch to full blast followed by a lockup.
    AHT passes all extended test.
ASD 2.5.8 reports the following error:
    error - PHY data mismatch #define kFWPHYAddressCompareErr - 29055 // -29004
I was thinking if anything, the temp sensors would fail, but the error appears to have something to do with firewire, which seems to be working fine. Does anyone have any insight to this error?
After ASD I reset the pram on the machine by pressing the button on the logic board. The machine booted normally and seemed to be fixed. I was able to install updates including 10.4.11 and use the machine for an hour or so. I then walked away from the machine and it eventually went to sleep mode. When I came back the machine would not wake from sleep. When moving the keyboard/mouse I heard the system kick on and try to wake up, but never resumed video output. Eventually the fans went to full power and stayed there and I ended up powering off the machine.
Also, intermittently, the machine hangs on a grey apple screen with no spinning gear when powered on. I have not seen this since the pram reset, but I wanted to through that out there as well.
Any idea on what could be causing the issues?

Any process that will cause the system to stall/be unable to proceed, would most likely be accompanied by a kick in of the fans as an overheat defense mechanism.
If the system is looking for an address that isn't as expected, it would go on a search loop, which would increase activity, thus the fans.
It is probable that it is related.
It is possible that you may be able to garner further information about what is involved by looking at Console/logs for the processes that are involved at the time just prior to the events.
Additionally, it is proper to run diagnostics several times to confirm the error.
It would be prudent to confirm the error.
For additional feedback on the system components, and to provide validation or refutation of possible memory related issues, use Memtest or Rember to test the RAM.
Apple tests are all or nothing with regard to memory, while these two utilities can help identify latent or intermittent issues.
One other thought is that the issue may be due to firmware corruption, in which case a NVRAM reset may be more valuable than a PRAM reset.

  • What does this TJ data mean?

    Hello,
I am implementing a PDF parser in Objective-C  (using CoreGraphics API's) that will aid in PDF search. I know that the Tj and TJ operators are used for displaying text, and that to retrieve the text information from a page I should be looking there.
The problem comes in when there are weird operands in the TJ operator. Below is one such example:
    [<1C>]TJ
    0.7039 0 Td
    [<1D>]TJ
What does the above highlighted red text data mean, in terms of the semantic information that it contains? During parsing, the output of the above 2 operands are the characters ˝ and ˛ respectively. Am I going to have to use the font encoding provided in the Resources dictionary of the page to decipher what these characters semantically mean?
    Thanks a lot,
    Michael

I assume you have a copy of ISO 32000-1:2008 available, so that you are reading what is written there first before asking.
The answer is that NOT ONLY do you need to read the font encoding information for ANY TEXT EXTRACTION, but you ALSO need to read the information from any embedded fonts for the embedded encoding information.  This is especially true for TrueType fonts vs. Type 1 fonts, and CID-based fonts.
    And don't forget ToUnicode tables!
There is a section in ISO 32000-1 that describes the entire process of text extraction.

  • What does this quicktime icon mean? Mysterious connection to audio preview in CS3

Can anybody tell me what this quicktime icon means in relation to imported .mov footage?
I'm using AfterEffects CS3, and working to solve an annoying mystery related to audio in RAM previews. I've got a workaround, but would love to get to the root of the matter.
In older projects, audio previews just fine. In recent projects, I can't get audio to work during RAM previews. I can hear scrubbed audio, and audio renders fine from the queue, but can't hear it during RAM previews. I'm working on an animation project.  Audio in RAM preview is crucial, dammit! YES, audio is enabled in the preview control preferences...
If I import an older AE project with working audio - PRESTO! Audio preview works fine again. WHY?
I've narrowed things down - the imported project will do the trick even if it contains noting but this (see icon) certain, earlier QT.mov file - which, ironically, has no audio of it's own.
I suspect the issue may be a Quicktime version or update version quirk. Probably solved if I updated my software to CS5, but can't afford that just now. ARGH.
    Any ideas? Thank you!

Audio is in AIFF format, and was created in the same time period and format as earlier projects, where it previewed just fine.
Photoshop files do not have the Quicktime icon, my workaround solution does.
I can get RAM audio preview working again -  IF I import an additional, older AE project from a time (June 2011) when audio preview was still working as expected. I experimented with those earlier AE projects, deleting various files until I narrowed it down to the following:
As long as the imported project includes a movie file with that goofy quicktime icon, audio RAM preview works. If not, no dice. The movie file in question is a tiny quicktime movie animation generated by AfterEffects (lossless, best settings) in the course of the previous project. It has no audio of its own.
So I have a workaround, but I'm curious. Why doesn't my audio RAM preview work in current projects, and what is it about this little, goofy-icon QT movie file that gets it working again?

  • What does this iCal icon mean?

    Hi,
I am using iCal on OS X.7.5 and all of a sudden the icon in the dock has a red circle with a 1 in it? Why did this occur> What does it mean? And how can I make it go away?
Thanks, and so long for now, TOM

    Thanks.
On iCal v 5.0.3, there was a new notification icon in the "upper" left which showed the event.
    I appreciate the help.
    So long for now, TOM

  • What does this SATA info mean?

The system profiler on my macbook pro describes my SATA chipset like this:
    Intel 7 Series Chipset:
      Vendor:          Intel
      Product:          7 Series Chipset
      Link Speed:          6 Gigabit
      Negotiated Link Speed:          3 Gigabit
      Description:          AHCI Version 1.30 Supported
What's the diff between the Negotiated Link Speed vs Link Speed?
Does this affect what type of replacement HD I could get (SSD or hybrid)?
Is the 6 Gigabit speed what's possible and the 3 Gigabit negotiated speed the actual speed with this configuration?
I'm using a seagate 750 GB  7200 rpm HD (not the hybrid model).

Your interpretation is basically correct.  Without knowing exactly which MBP you have, many if not most of the 2012 MBPs have a 6Gbps internal SATA drive bus.   Also guessing, but if you have a top of the line Seagate Momentus 750GB 7200 rpm drive, it's "only" a 3Gbs drive.  So, the link vs. negotiated speeds would be correct.
Another thing to keep in mind, even the "best" hard drives are barely capable of saturating a SATA I (1.5Gbps) bus, so having a 6Gbps bus is overkill for today's drives.  Maybe it provides some future-proofing, but until hard drive internal i/o speeds improve (buffer-to-platter), just having a SATA 3Gbps or 6Gbps bus isn't going to make a gnat's difference in performance between a SATA I, II or III drive.  Even that Seagate Momentus can only sustain 1.3Gbps (160MBs) under ideal conditions.
You basically do not have to worry about what kind of SATA drive you replace your current drive with.  They are all backward compatible, so a SATA I or II drive will work perfectly well on a SATA III  (6Gbps) bus.  There's no SATA drive with higher than 6Gbps interface around, at least not commercially available today.

  • What does this frame/icon mean?

I haven't been using InDesign for a few years, and have just started using it again. I am currently working on a document that someone else has worked on before me, and I am struggeling to figuere out what this one thing means.
At this one page, there is posted an image (.eps), as well as a picture from a pdf.file. These two are posted on top of eachother. The image has a purple (though i guess the colour is optional) frame around it, and an icon in the left of the upper line of the frame. The icon looks like two c's facing eachother, with a minus-sign in the middle.
Anyone know what this means, and the purpose of it?
Thanks in advance for any helpful answers.
    -G

The color of your frame depends on the layer, which hold your element. If you create a new document, the frame-color is probably blue, because layer 1 is blue.
The icon is new to CS6 and it is the linking icon. If your linked elements are missing or out of date, you get a alert there. If you want to relink something, you can simply click on this icon and do not need to find your picture in the links panel. So this icon is verry helpful. If you don’t like it, you can disable it under menue > View > Extras

  • What does this link warning mean? can't add line info to anonymous symbol

I am working towards getting rid of all link warnings, but I am getting three that I don't quite understand and a google search for this warning hasn't been helpful.
The output to Xcode looks like:
ld: warning: can't add line info to anonymous symbol __ZN16CLineAlignWidgetD0Ev.lsda from /path/to/CLineAlignWidget.o
What causes this warning and what can be done to fix it?
I have looked at the CLineAlignWidget class and it looks like other classes which aren't generating this warning.
    Thank you.

    Basically, it's not a problem.
    http://lists.apple.com/archives/xcode-users/2010/Jul/msg00294.html
If anyone is interested, I went to the LLVM irc channel and asked about this link warning and got back:
    d0k: It's a compiler bug, but I think it's harmless

  • What does this empty error box in iPhoto 11 mean (other than the QA on this app is non-existent)

Barnd new MBP OOB experience.   More iPhoto issues.  This time I tried to email a photo to a friend from within iPhoto.  When I hit send I got the following error.  (Tried to attach photo of empty error dialog box but to no avail.) So you will have to take my word that I got a pop up box with what appears to be an iPhoto error icon and no text.)  Any idea what it means other than iPhoto continues to be the shoddiest app in the mac portfolio from a QA perspective???

Repaired Permissions.  Same Dialog box.  Can't email from within iPhoto on new MBP.
Why was I using it?  Because that was my OOB experience with the new MBP.
Also I didn't realize I could use Image Capture with my iPhone.  Image Capture is not available as a choice in iTunes.  But perhaps that's what is meant by sync with a folder which I am now doing.
If so then correct, its not compulsory nor is it needed and now it has been eliminated.

  • What does this console error mean?

I just got my 13" non-retina MacBook Pro back from the Apple Genius bar since the cable that connected my hard drive was failing. Before I brought it in, it suddenly went from an OK speed to a something is wrong speed. But before I took it in on Monday, I opened up the console and it had these errors that had to do with like the SMC and such. Before they took it in, we re-formatted my hard drive and re-installed OSX. That didn't fix it and the last backup I had on my Time Capsule was April 3 of this year. When I got it back, I transferred my data from the Time Capsule so I didn't have to re-install all my programs and such and I had a VERY important video stored on the Capsule. And today, I noticed while in my science class, the top bar on the top of the screen wtih the Apple symbol was missing. I shut it down and performed a disk utility, SMC reset, and PRAM reset and those errors are still there. Also when I went into iPhoto to retrieve the video I had, photos would appear in the boxes for a split second and then disappear and when I try to vew them, I got a triangle with an "!" within it. I can open them in Aperture but no videos can be accessed. But back to the errors. I get these two errors as a pattern in the console:
    4/9/14 12:46:44.000 PM kernel[0]: SMC::smcReadKeyAction ERROR TC0D kSMCBadArgumentError(0x89) fKeyHashTable=0x0xffffff8022443000
    4/9/14 12:46:49.000 PM kernel[0]: SMC::smcReadKeyAction ERROR F1Mn kSMCBadArgumentError(0x89) fKeyHashTable=0x0xffffff8022443000
What do they mean and how do I fix them? So far, there aren't any major performance issues, it just runs a little slower than before. I bought my MacBook brand new in September of last year (2013) with all standard configurations but I did upgrade the RAM from 4GB to 8GB since I'm a mobile DJ. I haven't contacted Apple yet but I will when I get home later today since I'm still in school. And also when I try and open the files stored on my time capsule, it says I don't have permission to. Like... It's the same computer. It was restored from a Time Machine Backup. How do I allow the correct permissions? This is my computer, no one else uses it unless my brother wants to connect friends/family in minecraft.
