What does this mean:"System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ ARDAgent" has been modified and will not be repaired.
My computer is running well but I get this every time I repair the disk permissions, does anyone know why?:
“System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAge nt” has been modified and will not be repaired.ACL found but not expected on “private/var/root/Library”Repaired “private/var/root/Library”ACL found but not expected on “private/var/root/Library/Preferences”Repaired “private/var/root/Library/Preferences”
I don't believe I've ever had absolutely nothing ...
Thanks.
That's a permission issue caused by an Apple Remote Desktop client update. It can be ignored and it does not cause any issue, so do not worry about it. See > http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1448

I have a mid 2007 iMac running OS Mavericks and the hard drive is failing. When doing a disk permissions verify it shows SUID file system/library/coreservices/remotemanagement/ARDAgent/contents/MacOS/ARDAgent has been modified and will not be repaired. I do not have a backup of my system due to my external drive I use for backing up my system has stopped working. Can I repair this myself without having to reinstall the OS so I don't loose my any of my files.
You can safely ignore that.
Disk Utility's Repair Disk Permissions messages you can safely ignore -
What does this message mean? "Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent" has been modified and will not be repaired" I get this when I try to repair permissions in disk utility.
It's an innocuous error you can ignore. It was introduced with previous updates for ARD and/or Java before Lion. These are messages, not errors. They will cause no harm, and they will be repeated each time you repair permissions.

Warning: SUID file “System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent” has been modified and will not be repaired. When I repaired "disk permission", this message was what came up. What does this mean, and how can I fix it?
The opperating system I am using is 10.7.4, and updating to the latest version currently. Computer is running fine, except that when I did some utility repairs, I got the warning above, and not really sure what do, in regards to repairing it correctly, not just getting the message off of my computer.
Thank you for your help, and please only contribute if you know about this issue please. That's a status message which can be safely ignored.

Besides the obvious, does anyone have any info. as to what this means:"Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent" has been modified and will not be repaired."
what do you mean by the obvious?, it's a permission issue, ARD must run as systems administrator to boardcast, tunnel IPv6 calls, etc.

When I repair permissions in disk untilities, I get one result that cannot be repaired:
Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent" has been modified and will not be repaired.
I recently had a new hard drive installed by Apple, after mine failed. The permissions seem to get out of whack quite often, and I get the message above.
Can you please tell me what may be going on?For more information, see:

SUID file "system/library/coreServices/remotemanagement/ARDAgent.app/contents/macos/ardag ent" has been modified and will not be repaired. I have tried repairing and it won't repair it.
About SUID messages you can "safely ignore"...

There's nothing to repair. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done.
Not a virus. There are no Mac viruses. -

I spent the month of November on the phone with Apple support.on a crashing and permissions going wild situation. I ended up getting a new HD for my iMac through and Apple Authorized service center. All has been well until today when I woke the iMac up from sleep to have it crash - a white screen of death. I rebooted and ran disk utilities from the HD partition and from the command R partition to have it say this -
Warning: SUID file “System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent” has been modified and will not be repaired.
What does this mean and what are some possible remedies?
Thanks,
Ted FajenDon't worry about it, it's a normal system message that can be safely ignored.

No permissions repair trouble the whole time I had my new MacBook Pro. Now, I get this message (after a ton of necesary repairs:
Warning: SUID file “System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent” has been modified and will not be repaired.
What does this mean, and what can i do?I see the same thing but it does not appear to be a problem. Some discussion in:

I'm actually seeing a lot fewer permission repairs than I used to see (and they didn't seem to cause problems either ). Hope that helps! -
Received this message when running verify disk permissions: "Warning: SUID file “System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent” has been modified and will not be repaired." What should I do about it? Mac has been working funny & have had to restart alot.
What should I do about it? Mac has been working funny & have had to restart alot.
Please be specific about what is "working funny" and causing you to "restart alot." We have no way of knowing what that means for your situation. Complete descriptions are needed replete with any error or alert dialogs. -
What does the message "Warning: SUID file “System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent” has been modified and will not be repaired" when repairing disk permissions?
It's just a status message, albeit a misleading one, and can be ignored.

Hi There! I have a question on Kernel Task-Threat. How can I clean my computer? This is the message that persists when cleaning disc--Warning: SUID file “System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent” has been modified and will not be repaired.
That's a routine message and it means nothing. Don't waste your time repairing permissions unless you know you have a problem that can be solved that way, which you probably never will.

Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent" has been modified and will not be repaired.
When I repair my permissions, this never gets repaired. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
Also, can anyone tell me why my disk permissions are constantly being changed? It's a recurring message. It's innocuous and of no concern. It is the result of the ARD installation you did. Just ignore it.
