What does this mean? "You are running an operating system that Illustrator no longer supports."

Im trying to download photoshop as my first app with creative cloud and i keep getting this message , "You are running an operating system that Photoshop no longer supports. Refer to the system requirements for a full list of supported platforms."

You mention both Illustrator and Photoshop so it is not clear which you mean.   The message means you need to review the operating system requirements information on the following pages to see if your machine falls short of the requirements.
