What does "Upgrade Your Device" mean for a VZW customer?

I had a LG Octane and "upgraded" to LG Cosmos at the end of my contract. The Octane does not have a camcorder but the Cosmos did. To me this was a "downgrade." I learned of this "downgrade" after I had the "upgraded" a few weeks. I believe Verizon's use of the term "Upgrade Your Device" is deceptive and a false promise. Verizon representatives refuse to recognize this "upgrade" as a "downgrade." I am stuck with a downgraded phone for more than another year before I can upgrade again without paying the full cost of a phone! So what does "Upgrade Your Device" mean when used on the Webpage of your Verizon Account?

The upgrade is that your new phone has a camcorder. Your old phone did not.
The word upgrade means to me getting a new phone that has features that my old phone didn't have and that i will actually use.

  • What does the field Inconsistent mean for ABC Analysis for Cycle Counting report

What does column "Inconsistent" mean for report ABC Analysis for Cycle Counting (T-code MIBC)?  The reason I'm asking is because I see TotalStock values greater than 0, but the Accounting 1 view for Material Master and MMBE both show zero stock.  I do not understand why TotalStock in the report does not show zero.  Can anyone explain how this can happen?
Note: the report is run for consumption/usage date range.
    Thank you,
    Doug

    Hi,
MBEW table and MMBE transaction will show the current stock. When you run MIBC report for consumption, the system considers the consumption for the date range given (from MVER table), which may not be equal to the current stock. Refer the KBA:  1817237 - Stock quantities and stock values in MIBC  which explains the system design.

  • What does the word "vulnerable" mean for Adobe download

I want to use Hulu, but my computer says I need to update Adobe Flash. When I click on it, there is the world "vulnerable" next to the download.
DOES this mean I should not download because it might negatively affect my computer.

vulnerable means oudated plugins and its susceptible for attack.
So you need to update your plugin/software to the latest version.

  • What does one year commitment mean for adobe creative cloud monthly payment

If I want to purchase creative cloud for only a few months of the year does that mean I only pay for those months? I am unclear about what you mean by a one year commitment.
For example if it cost HKD 68 for on month and I only need this software for two months of the year do I only pay HKD 136 in total.

An annual subscription may be paid monthly, but you are committed to pay that monthly fee for a full year
Purchase the monthly subscription so you may cancel with no penalty

  • What does "fon0" or "fon1" mean for embedded fonts?

I am working with a vendor who is producing reports for our company. We have instructed this vendor to use our fonts and design standards. The reports are delivered to us as PDFs, and ultimately are delivered to our customers, who of course do not have our fonts so we need them to be embedded in the PDFs.
I am trying to verify that they are indeed using the fonts we have specified, but am seeing confusing results in the sample PDFs they have provided. I can see that the fonts are similar, but not quite the same. For example, periods, when magnified are squarish rather than round.
When I look at Document Properties/Fonts, I do not see the font names that I would expect. I see two apparent embedded fonts - fon0 and fon1, both shown as TrueType (CID) and Encoding as Identity-H.
Does anyone have any idea what fon0 and fon1 represent, and why I am not seeing familiar font names?

    Thanks, Dave.
In the past, if I recall correctly, if a font is not embedded and is not available on a given computer you would still see reference to it in Document Properties/Fonts. Are you saying that if the font is not installed on the machine producing the PDF, but that font has been specified, it will map to this generic name?
The strange thing is that the fonts look pretty similar. Does "fon0" and "fon1" contain some information that would try to perform a match to something installed on my computer?
I cannot find reference to Preflight in my Acrobat X. Is that because I have Standard and not Pro?

    Officejet 720(all-in-one
    Pretty straight forward:
Printer powers on, seems to go through normal power-up, including noise moving cartridges back & forth, asks for date & time (skipped by hitting stop button) then this error appears (system error 3409) & unit becomes totally unresponsive.

That means you have restored it to factory settings, wiping out everything that was on it. If you have a backup of the stuff that was lost, you can restore from that backup.

  • What does "extracted channel PDF" mean and why does it continually duplicate on my desktop?  I think it happens when I move a file in Finder to another file and when I copy some web files.  How do I avoid this on my Mac (Mavericks)?  Thanks for your help!

What does "extracted channel PDF" mean and why does it continually duplicate on my desktop?  I think it happens when I move a file in Finder to another file and when I copy some web files.  I have to immediately move to trash all the duplications on my desktop.  How do I avoid this on my Mac (Mavericks)?  Thanks for your help!

What application is set to open PDF files? If you CNTRL click on the file and open with Preview does the problem occur?
If not change the default application to open PDF files to Preview.
You can do this by highlighting the file and either use CMD i or Get Info , this will open a window with the info on the file with an option to change the application that opens the file.
That's all I can think of.

  • What does rendering error -50 mean? I'm trying to export to apple device from FC Pro

What does "rendering error -50"  mean?  I'm trying to export to an apple device (Itunes) and I've done it this way before but now I just get the error message.  I'm not very technically savvy.

I had a bunch of video clips which I took on a point and shoot camera.  They had been uploaded along with photos to Aperture, but putting the SD card directly  into my computer. Every year I take all the clips, edit out the junk, and make a DVD for the kids and grandkids to enjoy.  When in final cut, I just clicked on the camera to import from Aperture.
I also make DVD's though out the year of special events, using these same type of video clips taken with the point and shoot. I sometimes do slow motion set to music, etc. I have not had a problem before.  And all the bad files came from one trip in October.  All the files after it were fine as well.  I'm not sure what I did differently for that trip.
The little video clips say DSCN1783 (or some other file number) and are 1920x1080.  I try to "share" my project to a Master File on an external drive.

  • What does "update carrier settings" Mean?  Settings for what?

What does "update carrier settings" Mean?  Settings for what?

It means just what it says. Carrier settings are the settings the carrier installs on the phone to connect it properly to their network. Periodically, carriers push updates to those settings. You should accept them.

  • I was playing with my ipad settings (it's an older model) and noted in the advanced settings of Safari there was a place to view website databases.  When I clicked on this I saw websites.  How do these get there and what does the space amount mean?

I was playing with my ipad settings and noted in he advanced settings of Safari there was a place to view "website databases".  When I selected this I saw a multitude of websites.
Can anyone tell me how these get there?  Can a website be posted even if it was never went to?  What does the space amount mean?  For example, 1.5 kb...is this quite a bit?  Would it indicate someone has gone to a site multiple times?
I share my ipad with my teenage daughter and I'm trying to find out if she's lying to me.  Obviously she's swearing that she has "no idea" how these got there and I'm trying to keep her safe (she's only 14).
    Thanks everyone.
    Concerned Mom

Think of your PC and the 'temporary internet folder' where it keeps cached copies of web pages or elements off a web page for 'quicker display the next time you visit'. That's pretty much what that folder is. 1.5K is tiny. Probably just a basic page with some text on it. (you might be confusing 1.5K with 1.5 megabyte....megabyte is large...it's roughly 1000 kilobytes, so the 1.5K is a tiny file)
As far as I know, the only way info gets into that folder is if the browser has been to that site.
if you have a concern there are browsers out there, McGruff is one i've seen recommended, that allow some degree of parental control and supervision. That or you could passcode lock the iPad or enable the restrictions to turn off some parts of the device to have some control.
