What drive does the desktop downloader install products to?

Hi, I don't want programs installed to C:\ I have other drives that I install programs to and the downloader is busy downloading and I have not been able to choose the drive where I want it Can I choose somewhere?

You can change installation location to any Internal drive on your Windows computer.
1. Launch the Adobe Application/ Creative Cloud application manager.
2. Click the gear icon in the upper-right corner and select Preferences.
3. In the Preferences menu, click on Apps tab.
4. You will have option to change the location.
5, Select the location and install the products.

Maybe I'm approaching the problem the wrong way. My problem is that I installed a new HDD in my laptop after cloning it to a backup drive, and I wanted to install the OS after formatting the drive using Disk Utilities from my desktop machine. Since I had Lion installed from the App Store as a paid download, I thought I'd start with a freshly downloaded install of Lion, but I can't access the internet directly with my laptop since it has no OS or apps. So I'm downloading Lion to my desktop machine hoping to install it on my laptop as a Target HD. Is that possible? Does the App Store download allow choosing which drive to install on?

anyone got any ideas why my digital (raw) images from the camera - once downloaded to computer present when viewed in explorer photo /fax viewer as the colours which they print with yet if I save the image into Photoshop elements V5 to crop, zoom, and otherwise manipulate they look EXTREMELY washed out in photoshop V5. Yesterday I moved a folder from my portable drive to the desktop of a computer called B3. The folder contained four tiff files and 16 PSD image files that I had been Photoshoping for two weeks. I dragged the folder into bridge for a quick look. Most of the fliles had been processed in Lightroom 4. When I opened the first image in PS all of the layers were gone and the image looked like it had never had anything done to it. All of the PSD images opened with the same result, no layers, weeks of work gone. I took the portable drive and plugged it into my labtop. All of the layers were there. What happened? there was no older version of the file on the drive.

Actually that would not have had any impact. When I processed the files in Lightroom there was a software glitch and they would not open as PSD 's inPs they appeared as raw files in PS. Yes I know how to set preferences. Ok to get around that one I exported my files as PSD into a folder. After I always opened them from the folder so I don't see how the XMP files could be an issue. What permission does the Service account requires on AD for the Workflow manager 1.0 to be configured in SharePoint Farm?
The workflow manager configuration wizard crashes with the below error when used a domain account (setup account with full prvilige on sql and server). It requires some specific permissions on AD ? I couldnt see any documentation stating what permission
it requires.
Can anyone help ?

What exactly does the global switch command line do ?

Hello All
Just foraging in the dark world of APP-V. I have a question which I cannot find answer for through google.
There are powershell commands to publish an APP-V application globally. What exactly does the global switch do ?
I understand it makes the application available to everyone on the machine for anyone who logs onto that machine.
However in the absence of this global switch the application is still available to all users who logon to that particular machine. So what exactly is the reason for using the global switch ?

Correct, the global switch makes the application accessable for all users logging on to that system.
This feature is required for some packages, like Office. But it is ofter used for applications used by everyone, like Adobe Reader.

A package can be added to the system but until it is published a user cannot start it. They won't see any shortcuts in their startmenu/desktop/etc.
So after you added the package to the system, it must be published to a user or globally (every user) to start it.

I *think* it simply disconnects you from the review server. I'm not sure why one would want to do this.
I'm trying to recommend an offline workflow for reviewers who may not be able to access a shared review hosted on our internal server (for example, while traveling). These reviewers would like to be able to comment on an offline version of the review PDF and then publish their comments when they can again connect to the Internet/internal server.
It doesn't seem like "Work Offline" is the right fit for this scenario. Instead, should reviewers save a local copy to their hard drive, comment on it, and then, when reconnected to the Internet, open the local copy, click Reconnect to Server, and then click Publish Comments?

1. Connect to the shared review.
2. Choose Work Offline from the Server Status menu.
3. Close and save the review PDF locally.
4. Comment while traveling.
5. When back in the office, open the local copy of the review PDF.
6. Click Reconnect to Server.
7. Click Publish Comments.

Yes when you first set up the account or when you first add a device to the cloud, if it is not the first time, it will merge with the other data

By default it merges. There is no option to change this.
What happens to the information on the second device that is not in the cloud?
It will sync at the next sync interval if that data is selected to sync.

It resolved the entry the next time the first and second device syncs. Can you elaborate on the second part of this question?

Yes, if you do a fresh install of the operating system, it's like a brand new machine.
No, if you restore from a backup like a bootable clone or TimeMachine drive.

I'm not sure why it seems that Apple wants to "simplify" things to a point that the results can become unfamiliar to the typical Mac user, like myself.
Just got finished looking at a document online about where to find the hard drive, and wasn't real thrilled about it. I like to be able to access the hard drive from the desktop. I am not the Finder Window menu type of guy!
If someone can aid me in placing the hard drive icon on my desktop WITHOUT me having to install Tiger (default installation disc), that would be great.

I do not see it on the dock; oh, and I forgot to mention, I recently reinstalled Snow Leopard.
Also, it seems that there isn't an option to have the hard drive displayed on the desktop, by right-clicking or whatever.
