Creation of roles is also called as profile generator.
when you are providing a tcode to a role it means that you are providing certain profile or restricted platform for a user which will allow him to use the tcodes upto which you have provided him the authorization.

My after effects cs6 keeps crashing when i add effects but it is random.. for example i might add 3 adj layers with effects on each .. different effects then randomly when i add say turbulent displace a window will pop up saying after effects has crashed due to... [ turbulent displace ]! also when i start up after effects it says there is not enough disk cach even though my disk cach is empty and i allow over 300 gb for it!

How do I automatically add objects to a profile when I add a Z tcode?

Hi,
I've noticed that when I add some SAP standard tcodes to a role menu it automatically adds certain objects in the profile. How do I make this happen for my own Z tcodes?
I have created a tcode ZSTMT for one of my programs. In the program I'm checking object F_BKPF_BUK so I'd like PFCG to automatically add this object to a profile when I add the tcode to the menu structure. How do I do this?

trying to help Tom answer some of your questions. he may has better answer
1. Hosts file that you told are keep in client or
server(and what path?)it's a file for your OS to resolve hostname into IP address.
in unix it's usually under /etc/hosts
in windows it's under
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
filename is lmhosts
You don't really need the file if you use DNS, this lead to second question
2. What is the DNS ,Agent?DNS -> domain name server
It's a server help your resolve domain name, hostnames into IP address. So you can just type www.oracle.com to goto Oracle website instead of 141.146.8.66
DNS is not a single server on big network, especially internet. there are many servers and also DNS agent to help you get quick naming resolution. When server is updated the change need to be populated to other servers and agents.
3. Why is the reinstall OEM?maybe Tom want to change his server's hostname?
Like he said, OEM identify server by hostname not ip address, so you are safe to change IP address only. No need to reinstall

Depending on the carrier, no you can't always. Yes att works that way, but what if they had to call in for some reason? As I said, better safe than sorry. The passwords are on there for a reason. Probably won't need it but you never know.

TS4522 What is the problem when I get error code 0 when trying to burn a DVD. It stops around 60-some %.

I have tried twice to burn a DVD, and both times I get error code 0 at about 60-some % of the transcoding. I haven't had any trouble burning DVDs before now.

I had a friend with similar problem, not sure of cause. Happened when sharing to Apple device as well.
Apple said to delete all files in Render folder. We did not try that as-
Problem changed slightly for us, in that Share to 'Apple device 720' got to 50% and pretended to have completed its operation, but no file found in Project Share folder.
We found then, if the timeline clips where highlighted it would share, where previously it had repeatedly failed.

What were your render settings in AME? (Format, Codec, data rate, etc.)
What is in your AE comp? If footage, tell us what format, codec, etc. Tell us what effects were used too.

You probably don't really need 1080 at 60 for your finished projects but since you're just starting out with Motion, you need to lower your expectations. A long way. 1080 is about 2 million pixels per frame, DV is only about 400,000. That's not just five times as many pixels for the Mac to track; everything in video is exponential.
Explore the training tutorials available by Mark Spencer. You will get an idea of how his super powerful machine reacts with the software.
Adding a light roughly doubles the processing time over flat scenes. Two lights increases processing again. Reflections require processing the lights and then calculating the reflections so add another quarter of the time required for flat scenes. Add camera movement, motion blur, and depth of field and you need exponentially more processing time for every frame. Try working in ye olde DV resolution for a few days. Get to know the software's limitations and what gets imposed by your Macintosh. Step up to 720p/30 and see how things slow down.
