What eq settings should i use for my ipod touch if i am using a car cassette cd adapter

i have found a cheaper way to listen to my ipod touch in my new 1999 cadillac catera is to use a casette adapter that you would use if you wanted to use a portable cd player in a car (although mine already has a cd player in it)
however my problem is that the audio for coming out of the speakers sounds a but tinny, and rough, i tried to use the eq settings (treble booster) and sound check to alevate the problem, and while it is marginally bettter now, the audio still sounds very rough and tinny
my question to all you apple experts is that if someone wanted to use a car cd casette adapter with their ipod touch, what audio settings does he/she need to use in order to make it sound right (meaning just like if you were using speakers at home or your headphones)

The appropriate MPEG2-DVD preset should suffice.

If you have iOS 4.2.1, you have the latest and last version of iOS your 2nd-gen iPod touch will run, and that's probably the optimal version compared to older releases.

  • What video settings should I select for 60m of video in iMovie

My gear: HDTV, DVD player that upconverts to 1080i, Canon HG10 HD camcorder
I record in HD. I have both an HDTV and a 4:3 standard TV. I don't have a Bluray player, nor do I want to invest in one at the moment.
I only need to record 60 minutes of video at a time to a single DVD.
Question: what settings in iMovie should I use to ensure the BEST video quality when I play back on my HDTV and DVD player that upconverts?

If you shoot 30p, ingesting 960x540 should be enough for your DVD output. If you use 60i, then importing and outputting at 1080i would be important to maintain 60Hz motion smoothness. (You shouldn't use stabilization or cropping while editing to avoid damaging 60i.) Then use MPEG streamclip or JES deinterlacer to resize 1080i 60 to 480i 60 to feed DVD authoring tool.
Or, you may want to use iMovie09 only as an importing tool for AVCHD video. Use imported movie (1080i AIC) in iMovieHD to edit movie and send it to iDVD, which will preserve 60i motion.

  • HT4436 I have an existing Apple ID that I use for my IPOD Touch.  I just received an Iphone 4S to replace my existing Blackberry that broke.  Can I set up a new ID for my work phone, but still use the same laptop that I use for my Ipod Touch?

I have an existing Apple ID for my Ipod touch being used via my laptop.  I just received an Iphone 4S as a replacement for my Blackberry Curve that broke, that goes through Verizon.  Do I set up a separate Apple ID for the phone, and will it work with the same laptop? Can one computer work with two ID's and two different devices?

  • I need some suggestions on what type of dock to buy for my iPod Touch 4 that would be combatable with it.

I use to have a JBL dock for my iPod Touch 4 but it no longer works with it.  I seem to be having some problems finding a dock that would work with a iPod Touch 4.   All I want is a good dock with stereo sound and that is chargable and would also have an adaptor so I won't have to use batteries but one with batteries will do if that's all I can find.  I don't need one that has a radio and a clock with it.  One that probably doesn't go over 100.00.  Would like some suggestions from anyone please?   Thanks.

Thanks for the replies. I have finally found a definitive answer on the Microsoft website (after a few days of virtual digging).

And I quote for the benefit of everyone else looking for the same answers:
"While RDS is shipped with Windows Server software, it is licensed separately through a Client Access License (CAL) model. This means that each accessing end point (i.e., a User or a Device) must be covered by an RDS license to access Microsoft VDI infrastructure.
And this CAL is an additive CAL, which means that in addition to a Windows Server CAL, customers must acquire a Windows Server RDS CAL for each user or device that:
    - Directly or indirectly accesses any of the RDS product functionality, and/or
    - Directly or indirectly interacts with the graphical user interface of the server software using RDS functionality or other third-party technology
For example, to access RDS functionality in Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2012 CALs and Windows Server 2012 RDS CALs are required along with the server software licenses."

  • What Home Router Supports VPN Endpoints for the iPod Touch?

    Hello,
I'm trying to figure out what VPN Endpoints I can use for remote access to my home network. I'd prefer a hardware VPN router like a Linksys BEFSX41, or a D-Link DIR-330. I'd prefer something like the DLink since it supports local area wireless as well.
I want to know if anyone has used any of this equipment, and how well it worked. There seems to be surprisingly little info on getting VPN to the home, let alone the iPod.
Can anyone recommend a router which will perform as a VPN end point for me?
    UHF.

You might be facing the problem, because the Ipod and your Desktop computer must be having the same IP address thats the reason whenever your IPod is connected to your Network, your Desktop must be getting disconnected. Check the IP address of your IPOD and of your Desktop Computer.
First thing which you need to check, if the Physical connections are done properly. Connect the Modem to the Internet Port of the Linksys Router and then Connect the computer to the LAN Port No.1. On your Desktop computer login to the setup page of your Router and click on the Status tab and check "Internet IP address"
If required you can Re-Set your Router and Re-configure all the settings on your Router from the scratch.

  • What manual settings should I have for indoor sports?

I have a Powershot SX500 IS.  I would like to take good pictures of indoor sporting event, for example Volleyball. What would be the best setting as far as F-stop, Shutter Speed for decent action shots?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The short answer: open up your aperture all the way, bump up your ISO as far as you're willing to take it (Is 1600 ok on that camera?), and then as fast a shutter speed as exposure allows.  Don't zoom in too far.
    Long answer:
    It depends.
Are you trying to completely freeze the motion? Or would you like perhaps a bit, like the hand of someone spiking a ball to show the movement?  Maybe you want a lot, use a slow shutter speed and pan as a car goes by.  You need to decide this ahead of time.
Everything else will be some give and take. Usually shooting indoors means pushing the limits of your camera, and yours is no exception. There are many different ways to do it, but here’s how I’d go about it:
I’d select the lens I want (not applicable to you) given the situation. Keep in mind that longer lenses require faster shutter speeds for sharp photos.
I’d set my aperture for my needs. Is it a lot of fast action and I want to make sure I get the shot? I’d go more middle of the road (f/5.6 – 8) to make sure I get my subject sharp. If it’s slower or I’m not worried about getting every shot I usually open it up as far as I’m comfortable with for that lens. I prefer how it looks, and since I’m indoors it gives me all the light I can.
I usually want a bit of movement (tires on a bike, tip of a baseball bat, hand of volleyball player, …) to give some life to my photos, so I’ll start around 1/200 or so and adjust from there depending on what I’m shooting.
Then I’ll just set my ISO for my exposure. If that requires too high an ISO for my liking, I make compromises, open up the shutter a bit, or lower the speed a bit.
This is a cyclic process, I’m constantly going over this as I shoot. If I decide I want a bit more motion then I’ll bring my shutter speed down, knowing that I can bump my ISO down a bit too for cleaner photos. Not enough depth of field? I adjust, and know that it’s going to cost me in ISO.

  • What kind of case should I buy for new ipod touch?

There seem to be so many different kinds.  I see that they have hard plastic ones and soft, silicone type ones.  Which is more durable and will protect the ipod better if dropped?  Also, what is a screen protector?  Do I need to buy a pack of these in addition to the case or do cases already have screen protectors?  If they are separate, do they make any cases that protect the screen on their own?

The best case is no case at all.
Just like camera cases from years ago, the case just gets in the way when you want to use it.  We called them never-ready cases.
Screen protectors will deflect some scratches, but I have yet to find one that does not degrade the image quality.

  • Whats the earliest version of Itunes you can use for an Ipod Touch?

Hi, I've been having a problem trying to get my Itunes to recognize my Ipod. The problem is, I can't update to the 7.7 or 7.6 version because for some reason my computer cant download the XP Service Pack 2, which is frustrating me. Is there any way around that as in I can use a newer version of Ipod without having to upgrade to Service Pack 2 or 3?

From the Tech Spec page for the Touch:
    *Windows system requirements*
    PC with USB 2.0 port
Windows Vista or Windows XP Home or Professional with Service Pack 2 or later
    iTunes 7.7 or later
You could see if there are any other iPod managers that will let you load music onto your Touch. I don't hold out a great deal of hope as it's not just a question of the latest iTunes but of aspects of the OS which you don't have.

  • What MP4 Compressor settings should I choose for a 10 min 9GB QT video to be uploaded onto a website?

What MP4 settings should I choose for a 10 min 9GB QT video (exported from FCP) to be uploaded onto a website?
They said 'I've been trying to upload the video to our website but our IT contact has told me that it is too big.  Could you send the file in MP4 format compressed for web?'
Any thoughts would be really appreciated.
    Warm regards
    Peter

    Hi,
Go to Compressor inspector window>Encoder tab>Click Video: Settings button>In the window that comes up go to Data Rate and change the default 220 Kbits/sec to 150.
The resulting file (if DV, under a minute) will definiteltly be under 2MB and quality good enough. Remember that quality always depends on the source, the greater your original footage looks the better the compression result.
