What exactly is included with the new adobe photography package?

okay first off, I'm in love with all of these massive changes all the way around.
secondly, I'm a bit of a hot mess.
For starters I am upgrading my poor old PC to a Mac (it was time!) this means I loose all my previous software. (It's time to upgrade as well anyhow) I currently have cs4 installed, and also lr4 On my PC. I pick up my new Mac mini tomorrow, and would like to have a solid game plan.
I'm having a hard time understanding what the new cloud options are, as well as the photography package for $9.99/mo. With this, is creative cloud included? do I have to purchase creative cloud membership in addition to the photography package? Does this include full use versions of both photoshop and Lightroom? And lastly what is the benefit vs buying lr5 outright (physical software) and / or buying the full download use of Photoshop and using via creative cloud. My how times have changed.... I feel so out of the loop, however extremely excited for the changes and inspiration.
Thanks in advance, and keep up the amazing changes.
RP

My understanding is that the $9.99 photographer package includes Photoshop CC 2014 and Lightroom CC 2014, as well as 2G of cloud storage. It doesn't include access to the rest of the apps in the CC universe (which you'd get with a full CC package), nor does it include TypeKit as a part of the package. It also includes access to Lightroom apps for the iPad and iPhone, and the Photoshop Mix app for the iPad.

  • Is 'Contribute' included in the new Adobe cloud package?

    Dear Adobe Community.
I have recently upgraded to Mac OS 10.8.2 (mountain lion) and can no longer use my 'CS4' Muti user licence.
Before I go ahead and repurchase a new 'Contribute' licence only - I checked the new Adobe Cloud package (as it seems value for money) and for the little I use Adobe Contribute, ideal for me. But I can't see the 'CT' logo (Contribute) as an available software item in the Adobe Cloud packages. Is it included in the package? If so where Or what has taken its place?
    Regards
    Jp

    Hi Dominic,
    Thank you for the reply.
Adobe (support) also just confirmed 'Contribute' is not included in the 'Adobe Cloud' package.
'Contribute' is still, a stand alone item.

Is Photoshop CS5 compatible with the new Adobe Camera RAW 8.6?
I am using the new Nikon D810. Adobe Camera RAW has this new camera included. But I cannot open the NEF files in Photoshop CS5

Yes, but they had to get the iPhone 5 into the channel, and iOS 6.notReadyYet was all they had.

  • Is iDVD included with the new Lion iMacs?

Macrumors just posted this on the front page, and I want to make sure iDVD is included with the new iMacs (that come with Lion pre-installed).
    from Macrumors front page:
"Apple is in the process of phasing out iWeb and iDVD and does not offer them for download via the Mac App Store or include them on the new MacBook Air and Mac mini."
And I notice on Apple's iMac page, they don't mention iDVD:
    http://www.apple.com/imac/software.html#ilife

I was looking at this thread yesterday because I also use iDVD extensively and decided to do some searching on the Apple website. It appears they're wanting to concentrate on iMovie (new "movie trailers" feature plus new themes) and FCP X which hasn't proven to be a big hit so far. And, since they've built in "share" to pretty much everywhere (Facebook, etc, etc) from both iPhoto and iMovie, I guess they think it's time to ditch iDVD.
May I suggest that anyone using iDV D send some feedback about keeping it:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/idvd.html
As for saving on a DVD, I don't believe that has anything to do with it; I believe it is Apple's idea to move us away from physical media and become MAS and "iCloud dependent". No install media, no external backups - only digital downloads and iCloud storage/backup. I'll stick with my LaCie's and SL if necessary (fortunately I have a fully functioning SL clone).

  • What software is included with the MBP 2009?

    Hello All,
Am setting up my new MacBook Pro which I brought home from the store yesterday. I used Migration Assistant to transfer my data and existing applications. iLife apps appear to have been replaced with newer versions, but I've found no trace of an iWork trial, MS Word trial, Comic Life, Omni Outliner... no Quicken, games, demos, etc.
So I'm wondering what's included and where it's located...
The computer came with 2 DVDs: Mac OS install DVD and Applications Install DVD.
On the Applications DVD, if I select customize install, I see:
    -cpu help files
-iPhoto (grayed out, cannot be selected)
    -iMovie (grayed out)
    -Garage Band
    -iWeb
    -iDVD
    Should there be another DVD?
Where is the complete iLife restore software located?
Should there be a remote unit to use with Front Row, as is the case with the iMac Intel, or is that not included with the MBP?
    Thanks

Quoting from the MacBook Pro page on the online Apple Store:
    http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shopmac/family/macbookpro
    Included software
Mac OS X Snow Leopard + iLife
Every Mac comes with the world’s most advanced operating system, as well as iPhoto, iMovie, GarageBand, and iWeb so you can do more with your photos, movies, and music.
The Apple Remote is not included.
iPhoto and iMovie may have been grayed out because they were already installed. Those two apps plus GarageBand, iWeb and iDVD constitute iLife.

  • HT1766 Query what exactly is included in the Phone back-up

This article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766 says that the back-up includes purchased apps, app data and home screen / app organisation but when I restored my iPhone recently, these did not appear until after the Sync was done - which followed the back-up restore.  After the back-up restore I seemed to have just my phone settings (e.g. mail accounts) and SMS messages.  So I am querying if this article is correct.

  • What scanner to go with the new desktop 20''  iMac ?

Wife recently had to get a new 'Mac as the old G4 died. She now has the new desktop Imac with the 20" screen.
She needs a scanner to use with this, 'photos and text, just for home use, nice and simple please !!
What is recommended ? We are in the UK if this makes any difference.
    Cheers and Thanks
    Brian

    HI Brian,
*"She needs a scanner to use with this, 'photos and text, just for home use, nice and simple please !!"*
I've had excellent service over a 20 yr period with Epson. I have the Epson Stylus CX3200. It's the all-in-one print/scanner and copier and never given me a moments trouble. It's not the cheapest on the market, nor the most expensive. I started with Epson printers early 90's and nary a problem. And zero compatibility issues with the Mac OS X and their support area on their site is good. Also easy to purchase ink cartridges too.
Check MacWorld or Cnet for printer/scanner reviews. Just search on their sites.

  • Is LiveCycle not included with the CS5 Design Premium package anymore?

I recently purchased my CS5 suite and went to fire up Livecycle and i do not see it included in the adobe startup list. Did Adobe remove this component from th CS5 Design Premium Package?

    Hi,
I appreciate your response. I have CS4 at home and had CS3 at work. Recently, at work we purchased four upgrades and one full version of the CS5 Master Collection. I am not a graphic designer. I work in a print production environment. I wanted to create a new form using the Acrobat templates so I attempted to create a form with the upgraded software. I was amazed that I could not find an option to create a PDF Form from scratch or by using a template in LiveCycle as I had done before in the earlier versions. I waited two hours on the phone with Adobe Support and finally got a response from the Sales Department. As you mentioned, Adobe Sales said they sell the product separately but that it is also included/bundled with Adobe Acrobat Pro (the CS5 purchase). However, Sales could not of course tell me how to access it. I created a form at home with my older version of software using LiveCycle's templates. I sent the file to myself at work and I was able to open it in LiveCycle in Adobe Acrobat X Pro - CS5 at work. Adobe Acrobat X Pro first recognizes that the file is designed in LifeCycle then Adobe Acrobat closes the PDF and reopens it in LifeCycle. So, I won't be upgrading at home too soon at least until I find out what else might be missing from CS5.
Thanks for responding with the extra information.

  • Can I install Flash CC 2014 with the $9.99 Photography Package?

I just bought the $9.99 CC photography package for Photoshop because that's what I originally wanted. Now I see that Flash CC also has a button that says "Install" instead of test with the trial version of CC. Can I install Flash CC for no extra cost? $50/mo seems a bit too much to download more than one application, especially since I'm not using it for anything but my own enjoyment.
    Thanks

NO. The photography bundle really only contains PS and LR. This may  simply be a glitch.

  • Only one computer per account with the new Adobe CC 2014

Hi guys, i have just upgraded all my apps to the brand new CC 2014, which also means everything is doubled in my application list. It all went fine at my work's computer but when I went back home and launched after effects CC 2014, it asked me for a serial number or trial period. I was shocked as I am sure any subscriptions to creative cloud (with monthly payments) allows you to run on two computers at a time (at work and home).
Has anyone run into the same problem ?
I ticked trial period for now and i checked in my properties, it is signed and logged with my adobe account so I'm not sure what's happening at the moment.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Two computers per Adobe ID, just like with Creative Suite.
