What exactly means java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException

InvocationTargetException is a checked exception that wraps an exception thrown by an invoked method or constructor.

The previous poster is correct. When you invoke a method via reflection there are basically two types of errors: ones that originated from an access violation, e.g. your thread doesn't have premission to invoke the method, or ones that are simply runtime errors thrown by the target method, e.g. you inovked an IO method, but that method couldn't find the file you specified. When you encounter an InvocationTargetException, that means the target method was executed, but it threw some Exception.
