What Exactly XI ALL And XIPAYLOAD in Mail Adapter

Hi All,
What Exactly XI ALL And XIPAYLOAD Message protocol in Mail Adapter.
What  is the Major Difference Between these two.
Please let me Know
Regards
Babu

Hi
●      XIALL
In this mode, the content of the RF C822 e-mail matches the content of the XI message. The XI message is a multipart MIME message with a SOAP envelope as its first part. See also: Structure linkMessages, under XI Message Protocol.
●      XIPAYLOAD
In this mode, the content of the e-mail is put in the payload of the XI message. If you do not set the Use Mail Package indicator, the information about the sender (From), receiver (To), and subject of the e-mail is lost.

  • What exactly are unscaledWidth and unscaledHeight in mobile item renderers?

    Hello,
What exactly are unscaledWidth and unscaledHeight that get passed to the measure() method for a mobile item renderer?
I am guessing renderers start at  "default" width and height (so unscaled) which get scaled based on DPI. Is that it?
    Thank you.

measure() doesn't take any parameters so I assume you mean the layoutContents() and/or drawBackground() methods.
If you look at the code in LabelItemRenderer (and MobileSkin) for updateDisplayList() you'll see that it just delegates the work to the drawBackground() and layoutContents() methods:
        override protected function updateDisplayList(unscaledWidth:Number,
                                                      unscaledHeight:Number):void
// clear the graphics before calling super.updateDisplayList()
            graphics.clear();
            super.updateDisplayList(unscaledWidth, unscaledHeight);
            drawBackground(unscaledWidth, unscaledHeight);
            layoutContents(unscaledWidth, unscaledHeight);
This was done to make it a little bit easier for people to subclass LabelItemRenderer/IconItemRenderer by breaking the positioning logic apart from drawing the background visuals.  Check out the documentation for UIComponent.updateDisplayList and look around on Google for more information on how updateDisplayList fits into the Flex component life cycle.

  • 1.how can I interpret meaning of TARGET  STATE   in output of command crsctl stat res -t  2. what exactly is nodeapps and why it need to be stopped before any maintenanace activity.

I have two question requesting from the Gurus.
1.how can I interpret meaning of TARGET  STATE   in output of command crsctl stat res -t  2. what exactly is nodeapps and why it need to be stopped before any maintenance activity.

I'd tried deleting my user preferences before, and it didn't seem to help. However, I tried again, and also removed the couple of actions I'd had in ~/Library/Automator. Success! Just for good measure, I tried putting the actions back and restoring the old preferences file, and everything still worked. Huh. But that's the nature of these things, I guess. At least it works now, thanks!

  • What exactly is "other" and why does it take -up so much space?

I'm trying to free up some space on my iPad2, and see "other" is usiong 6.7 gigs..  What exactly is "other"?

Actually "other" is app data, Safari Bookmarks, calendar entries, text messages, notes, Safari History, email messages and things like that - stuff associated with apps - but not the apps themselves or any other media.
Your "other" should be nowhere near 6.7 GB. You had a corrupt sync. You can try restarting, the iPad, rebooting it by holding down on the home and sleep buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears or unsync all photos and music and then resync all photos and music.
However, many times you need to restore the device to factory settings and then restore from a backup in order to reduce that bloated size. That should probably be no more than 1 GB and more likely between 200 and 750 MB in total size.

  • What exactly is RAID and it's advantages?

    Hi,
I've been hearing a lot about setting up Mac Pros/G5's in a "Raid" configuration for better performence an i was wondering what it's all about and how to do it?

Basically speaking, RAID offered by Mac OS X (Disk Utility) has three distinct, functions…
    1) Large drive sizes. It enables the combination of multiple drives into one large drive. So, if you have 3 x 500GB drive you can combine them into one large 1.5TB drive. This is implemented under a RAID 0 (striping or concatenating) scheme.
    2) Redundancy. By mirroring two or more drives it is possible to have all but one drive sumulaneously fail and still maintain data operation and integrity. So, if you had 3 x 500GB mirrored drives (resulting in a single 500GB drive) all would be identical giving you in effect, 3 original drives. If one or two of those drives failed the reminaing drive(s) would remain in operation. This is implemented under a RAID 1 scheme.
    3) I/O performance gains. By having your data spread over multiple drives each of those drives are able to read and write to those drive independently and concurrently. So, if you had 2 x 500GB drives under a RAID 0 (stripe only - concatenating provides no I/O improvements) half of your data will be on the first drive and the other half on the 2nd drive. For a 100GB file each drive would have 50GB of that file. When it came time to read that file each drive would simultaneously give the 50GB piece it had which would essentially halve read time and the same would apply to the writing of that 100GB file as each drive would only have to write half of the file.
Under a RAID 1 (mirroring) scheme read speeds would be likewise be improved as you have multiple drives to read from whereas write speed would not change as the same data needs to be written to all drives.
Please be aware that I/O is not actually improved in multiples as it suggests as there are overheads that are incurred by the RAID controller in managing the RAID implementation. Additionally, under Mac OS X the controller is software based rather than hardware based so there are performance losses there as well. It is possible however that the Mac Pro does have a hardware RAID controller which is implemented as part of the Intel 5000X chipset and Disk Utilty only controls it. Someone who knows more about the Intel 5000X chipset might want to confirm or deny this.
While you do get across the board performance gains they are minimal, if anything, at best when booting due to large amounts of very small I/O operations. RAID does do best with large file I/O operations.
    <HR width="50%" />
Many RAID implementation are in fact a combination of RAID 0 and 1 to combine their effects. So, what you could do with 4 identical 500GB is to create two RAID 1 mirrored pairs, leaving you with 2 x 500GB disks, and then create a RAID 0 stripe those two resulting disks into a single 1TB disk. By doing this you in effect get the redundancy for each member in the stripe and also the combined I/O performance (2x write and 4x read) gains. This particular implementation is a RAID 10 (or 1 + 0) scheme.
To provide the most optimal RAID implementations is it highly suggested that all drives are the same size, make and model. Additionally, due to the negative effects of RAID, which I'll get into, it is even more highly suggested that you opt for an entrerprise/nearline class drive with higher reliability and lower failure rates. Enterprise class drives are design for high use and RAID implementations. Yes they are more expensive, though often not excessively so, and are sometimes smaller than their consumer/desktop class bretheren but are well worth the difference.
So what the downside? The largest downside is with RAID 0 striping. With each member/drive you add to a stripe set you add to the likelihood of a catastrophic failure. For instance, if you had a 4 drive RAID 0 stripe the possibilty of a drive failure is 4x that of a single drive. Additionally, if a single drive fails all data is lost as that one drive has a quarter of each file on your system. Now you can see why enterprise class drives are recommended!
Even if you implemented redundancy through a combined RAID 1 scheme, if there were damage to what was written to disk then all disks are damaged. Remember, with mirroring, what is written to one is written to all drives. RAID 1 really only protects you drive a hardware failure, not a software failure.
This does sound bad doesn't it. Just remember to keep it in perspective… a failure under RAID is more likely but that does not make it imminent. With a 4 drive stripe and an enterprise class drive with a 1 million hour MTBF that still gives an overall 250,000 hour MTBF. The likelihood of a single failure is still extremely low.
When you implement RAID schemes how you safeguard your data via clones and backups becomes more of an important issue. Bear in mind that not safeguarding your data with or without RAID is not a wise thing so if you are doing the right thing there's is really nothing extra to do with RAID.
I clone every day or two and backup weekly. Even without RAID, if I didn't do this a hardware failure would result in data loss so RAID isn't particularly worse than an independent drive setup.
    <HR width="50%" />
Would I recommend it. To some yes and others no. It really comes down to how you use your Mac Pro. My suggestion that if you have the drives and the time just give it a go and see how it feels.

  • Proxy to Http scenario and use of mail adapter

    Hi Experts,
I am doing a Scenario in which we get Purchase order request(asynchronously) from SRM system in proxy xml format which we have to map to Cxml format send it to third party system(say system 2) as http request. Then we will recieve a response from system2 in Cxml format through HTTP.Now,we have to map this response as acknowledgement to SRM system via proxy if successful or error for the PO created or have some error. If error we also have to mail to the purchasing department about the error occured via mail adapter.I am confused how to start with ,as Proxy to XI is a asynchronous communication and XI to System2 is a synchronous communication as i am understood. Then again XI to SRM is a asynchronous communication via proxy.
I have request and response External defination for Cxml i.e HTTP side.May be i am wrong if we can do this req and response as asynchronously also. Please give me right way of doing this scenario step by steps and what are we need to do this.
    Thanks
    Deepak Jaiswal

    Hi Abhishek,
Thanks for your suggestion and based on that I have configured following steps in BPM:
    Start-    Receive(1)---Transformation(2)-send(3)-switch(4)--
    stop
    ................................................................................. [-Transformation(5)-Send(6)-
    .......................[---Branch 1 for error codeFork--[
    .......................[..........................................................[-Transformation (7)-send(8)-
    Switch(4)----[
    .......................[----Branch 2 otherwise branch-Transformation (9)-send(10)-
    Here,
Recieve(1) -- is used for recieve request from SRM.Mode is asynchronous
Transforamtion(2)-- is used for operation mapping between request of SRM to HTTP request.
send(3) --is used to sending request synchronous to HTTP,mode is synchronous, used synchronous abstract interface, abstract reqhttp and abstract resphttp
switch(4)-switch Branch1 is used for checking error response to be true---in this branch i use a fork step with two branches
Transformation(5)--- is used to map HTTP response to Mail response structure
    Send(6)----
is used to send mail content to Mail adapter
Transformation(7) & Transformation(9)---- is used to map HTTP response to Proxy response
send(8) and Send(10) --- used to send mapped proxy response to SRM as to update user status by calling calling Function module using proxy code.
Is my above approch is correct?
I have defined my container elements without checking multiline option. Is in my case do we need multiline option. checked ?
How to debug my BPM scenario from end to end?
Again, the same question i have not use async- sync bridge here.Does my scenario works fine without this as i am getting hints from my seniours that in this scenario i need async sync bridge concept. If so how to configure and at which steps.
    Thanks
    Deepak

  • Plain text and attachment in Mail Adapter (Receiver)

    Hello,
we have to generate a mail in the mail-adapter with a specific text and an attachment.
The attachment is a document in pdf-format, that is generated inside an adapter-module out of the payload-document.
An additional text has to be added to the mail for the receiver in plain-text-format, like "Dear customer ... enclosed you will find ...".
Is it possible to mix plain-text and attachments in the mail adapter? Does anybody know how we can do that?
    Regards,
    Thorsten

    Hi,
yes you can do it very easily inside the adapter module
if you're already using the adapter module then
you can just enhance it a little bit
you can add the pdf to the attachment section and
leave dear customer in the standard payload
you can even make it a little bit more dynamic
and create a module that will take the input from
the communication channel config (modules tab) - for example xml tag name in which you will specify
the dear customer (or any other text) and after this
the pdf creating can use the xml without this tag...

  • What exactly will "erase and sync"-ing my ipod erase?

so i want to download a video onto my mom's ipod but apparently the ipod has been synced to another itunes library when last time, i plugged it into the same computer to update it...
anyway the notification "do you want to erase this ipod and sync with the contents of this itunes library?" came up so i just want to know what will be erased.... like i don't want to lose her apps and the progress she's made in them hahaha.
just some more details:when i plug in the ipod,
    under the "Tones" section--i didn't checkmark it;
    "Sync Music" didn't checkmark it
"Sync Movies" well I want to checkmark it and check the video i want to download
"Sync tv shows" "Sync photos" all aren't checkmarked
so the only thing i have checked (or want to check) is the movies. the ipod currently doesn't have any music on it but lots of photos and apps and i don't want to lose any of them. so if i were to click "erase and sync" will that delete the photos and apps and the progress?
MUCH THANKS TO ANYONE THAT WOULD HELP!

You have to use the manual method of syncing to copy music and videos for other than the one syncing computer you can have. The manual method is discussed here:
iTunes 11 for Windows: Syncing overview
iTunes 11 for Windows: Set up syncing for iPod, iPhone, or iPad

  • What exactly is "All" when handling webapp items in a collection?

In reference to this documentation - http://docs.businesscatalyst.com/dev-assets/reference#!/how-tos/liquid/listing-and-filtering.html and also when using collections, Does All mean All or does it only list 500 items at a time? Also, what is the difference in performance speed when say looping through a collection vs using categories to display specific items. I have had webapps that contained around 70,000 items before, so I was curious.

    Hey mate,
First thing is with collections etc I do not think pagination, fetching etc has been finished 100%, not much documentation either and on objects I have seen info on that change.
I have a forum post about pagination and things like collections and the use cases (that or I emailed the BC guys)
Basically covering like what I know is going through your head... You have a collection, so how do you iterate through the other pages, what happens when you want to show just 5 and no data etc.
BC limit is for performance and server reasons of course which is fine, but as you indicated you may want to display more so making another request to fetch the next chunk with API. You can do that with module_data but one of the issues I have raised and I can see happening is that if some of this core stuff is not covered on the core modules - All the work to update BC modules would end up being a waste of time, because if things like this crop up you would just end up using module_data for nearly everything as the API's role out. Which of course is OTT.

  • Yahoo mail in FF is slow to load (if it loads at all) and the e-mails do not open when you click on them. I do not have this problem in Chrome or IE

When I click on Yahoo in FF, the page is slow to load. When it does, the e-mail is even slower to load. When it does load and I click on an e-mail, the e-mail does not open. Any suggestions? If I delete FF and reinstall it, will I lose all the information in FF (e.g. Book marks or preferences)? Thanks in advance for your help.

    HI afirst,
Just in case [[Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles]], but before that you can clear the cache for a specific site in the about:permissions page.
Select Yahoo mail on this page and forget the site. This will remove cookies and active logins for mail. Please then restart Firefox and relogin to Yahoo mail.
If there are any other questions, happy to help.

  • What exactly does 'Activate and Adjust Database" mean?

In SE14, if I put a table or index name in I get the button options to creat/delete/and Activate and Adjust Database.  What does that last one mean?  If I have an existing index does it reorg it? Does it just rematch the SAP internals to the Oracle database?
    Thanks
    Vince

    Hi,
For an Index in SE14-->Activate & Adjust database is nothing but rebuilding of Index. if you see any missing indexes in DB02 then you can rebuild those using this option.
This is specially helpful when your Index size becomes larger than table(more than table size).  You can free some space by monitoring large size index whose size is greater than & rebuild then using SE14-->Activate & Adjust with database.
In case of table this option is risky as it may result in data loss
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Sushil
