What Features Would YOU Like To See Added To Encore?

I'm a relative newbie to DVD authoring, though I've completed hundreds of successful Projects. I also have used few other authoring programs, before Encore. I'd be interested in hearing what others would like to see added to Encore. This is kinda' like your "Feature Request," but it's really only for my interest and edification, as I cannot imagine Adobe reading the Lounge forum.
To date, every thing that I have wanted to do has been accomplished by either reading this forum, a couple of books or asking specific questions, and then using various workarounds. Maybe I have not set my DVD authoring sights high enough. That's why I'm posing my question to you. I also hope to get ideas for neat "things," that I never even have thought about.
Thanks,
Hunt

A real coaching app would be much appreciated.  All the one alread offered does the samething... designing drills.
We (the coaches) need more than that, we need something to allow us follow and take note, comment our teams/players/coach.

  • What features would you like to see in a Java Decompiler?

    Hello all,
(I'm assuming if you're viewing this thread you use(d) a decompiler for development purposes).
I'm just about to embark on my final year dissertation for university and I am going to develop a Java decompiler.
I have researched existing decompilers, e.g. Mocha, DeJaVu etc and have come up with my own feature set, but I was wondering what other Java developers would like to see in a decompiler. e.g. Support for Generics (and other v.5 features)
So please let me know of anything you would like to see in a decompiler; possible IDEs to plug into, GUI, backwards compatibility, possible plugins, J2EE support, anything at all...
    Thank you for your time.
    Cheers, joe

Support for DICOM SR, DICOM SEG, and Annotation and Image Markup (AIM) as output formats for the segmentation and reports would be helpful.
It would also be great to see support for native DICOM files as input rather than needing to convert to one of the other formats you currently accept.

  • We're now well into 2015!   What features would you want to see added in Eloqua 10 this year?

Calling the Topliners community!   Please add your "wish list" features to this thread below.  To get this started, here are my Top 5 feature requests.  Some of these were lost in the cutover from E9, I know they are lurking in there somewhere!
    1. Bring back the ability to create new Profile Fields for Query Strings (utm_campaign, utm_medium, etc.)
    2. Bring back the old E9 Reports. Make Insight available, but add an interface to the E9 report console so we can choose which reports to use.
    3. Bring back the ability to add Profile Fields to Forms (e.g., IP address, Most Recent Search Keywords). So we can trigger conditional processing steps based on certain visitor profile field values.
    4. A single global setting to make Eloqua a true "opt-in" database. New contacts would be unsubscribed when they are first created. This can be done as a workaround today, but it's messy.
    5. Instant mobile rendering - get a quick snapshot of your Eloqua email and landing page rendered in different Android and IOS devices, without leaving Eloqua.
These would make my life so much better!

Eloqua actually has rolled out 2 of your "wishlist" items already
    2. Bring back the old E9 Reports. Make Insight available, but add an interface to the E9 report console so we can choose which reports to use.
You should ask someone to turn on Power Tools for you. This way, you can still access the E9 reports you've built in the past. They've told us that we can't build new reports but I think I was able to do so still. If I remembered correctly, the E9 reporting for email metrics is different to the way E10 measures opens and clicks therefore the E9 email metrics reports does not match up to the E10 ones
    5. Instant mobile rendering - get a quick snapshot of your Eloqua email and landing page rendered in different Android and IOS devices, without leaving Eloqua.
Eloqua emails can be previewed with Tablet View and Mobile view.
    Hope this helps!

  • What would you like to see added to GB4?

The title pretty much says it.
I would like to see the AUNetSend and AUNetRecieve be able to work together internally in GB to create some kind of vocoder. I would also like to be able to mix down a file while it's still editable/useable so I can tweak as I need to (for example, move the parameters on some of the effects).
That's good for now...what do you think?
(and I know that this post is a little early, but programming takes time and I want them to get a head start)

I agree that this is almost futile. Apple is gearing GB towards podcasts instead of music recording. THAT is NOT GarageBand. That is for a DJ wannabe. GarageBand was originally about making music, not being a DJ. I am happy to have GB2 as a tool, and even happier I moved to Logic Express. However, the newest upgrade to LE was most of the same upgrades GB got. If Apple continues in this direction, many serious musicians are going to abandon both apps for something made for recording period.
I have nothing against podcasting at all. In fact it is pretty cool. I have a couple that I know of that feature my stuff regularly. But I think GarageBand and Logic should remain what they are supposed to be, recording apps for musicians. Apple could have easily done a separate app for the podcasters, while allowing us to have some of the upgrades we all asked for. Considering how that list was totally ignored and was from those who frequent the forums that Apple set up for us, I find it hard to believe that they are even listening to anything we have to say.

  • What Improvements Would You Like To See in the Store? Tabs, search options?

I just sent some feedback on the store but, you know, you never feel satisfied doing that so I thought I'd post my ideas and see if anybody else felt the same way or have found solutions for navigating through the store.
    My Feedback;
+As a recent iPod Touch owner I enjoy downloading inexpensive apps but the process of browsing is slow and search is too limited.+
+First the store needs Tabs So I can check out many apps quickly.+
+Second *Sort By* needs to have more options like Sale and Price+
Why can't you search within the App store?
I searched "Flying" and then I have to sort through the whole store(songs , movies etc.) then I can select apps but you can't search through them or use a function like Control F to find a word.

I would never have guessed that the most-wanted
improvement to Java is support for a Vietnamese
locale.Yeah, I found that a little odd. Some other ones on that list seem odd to me. Someone want's const and struct? Not sure about that. But the reloading resource bundles would be good.

  • What Would you like to see changed in FC?

    Hello everybody,
just  a little introduction, as announced flash catalyst would solve the  problem of many designers to publish their work without one line of  code, well, here begins a death foretold. At  some point things to go well but then the problems begin a dependence  to have a programmer on the left arm in addition to the program is  rather limited. Flash is already incorporating the AS3 language, now wonder why launch a program with a new language, rather confusing, no? as  a designer I do not want to worry about programming, but concentrate on  the aesthetic aspect of my layout, which is why I found interesting the  coming of the catalyst. it was all a lie, or say one more death will be announced shortly birth. but we believe that all this will change and enable designers to express their skills as designers and media .... without a single line of code. otherwise the flash is fine and the catalyst becomes an obsolete program. finally,  each monkey on its branch and rethink that, besides confusing the  catalyst does not become functional in the optical designer.
What would you like to see changed in Catalyst?
    - Most states
    - can apply Form Email etc
    - better handling of text
    - No dependence with programmers, or if it is not possible to incorporate code changes in the proper catalyst
more there, and hopefully remember me
I  want to thank The Adobe team that created the opportunity to open new  horizons to the class of designers, I still think that the catalyst has  great potential ,.... but not the way it is.
    Thank you for your attention
and say what they liked to see
    cheers
    Mike

Well the forms for sure. At least an email form. This really just needs to be there. Ultimatley I think there just needs to be some training right now if they want this product to get used the way they intended. I am sure I will have a ton more to add to this list as I dig deeper into my first live job using it.
Not sure on the AS3 thing, it has been out since 2006, although I may have just misread what you were saying.
A way to change the loading bar would definitly be nice now that I am thinking about it.

  • Would you like to see a 13.3" ThinkPad (sized between the X and the T)?

The X series is 12.5". The T430 series is 14". From the IdeaPad series you can also chose an in between size of 13.3", I think a more ideal size and weight for true road warriors than the 12.5".
Previosly the 12.5" might have been more feasible because of weight but as now more lightweight advanced materials are available, the 13.3"size is the real deal for road warriors. Just think about Apple products (they know about a thing or two about design, right?), besides the IdeaPad line.
Would you like to see a 13.3" ThinkPad?
Ps. I'm not talking about novelty items like the X1 Carbon but something part of Lenovo's "normal" product line.

I would still like the 13.3" Thinkpad. the best size.
It can be an Edge as well. What is the reason behind these are sold in Europe but not in the US? And only in Edge variants?

  • How to get rid of: Would You Like To See Your Photos on a Map?

Every single time I edit a photo in Aperture I get this annoying question: "Would you like to see your photos on a map?" Enable GPS tracking - yes or no. How can I get this pop-up screen permanently off of Aperture? Sometimes this causes Aperture to freeze and I have to force quit my computer.

    Graig Kivell wrote:
I understand that I can do it manually but am not understanding how I should have answered the startup question.
Just open iPhoto, open the iPhoto preference, then go to the advanced tab. At the bottom of the window is a pull down for "Look Up Place". The start up questions just asked how you want this setting set. You can now use the pull down to change it to "Automatic" instead of Never.
Another place to check in preference is the tab for "Web". There is a check box for "Include location information for published photos". This tells iPhoto if you want the location information included when you upload photos to Flickr or other places that can read and display map info.

  • Features I'd like to see added to iTunes

I'm mostly pleased with iTunes and much prefer it over WMP10. The only niggle I have with it is that it won't let you copy playlists. So if I set up a smart playlist with a host of variables then want to create a copy with only one variable changed I have to go through the whole playlist creation process to make the new playlist. If there was a menu option whereby I could create a copy of a playlist and the new playlist would be called copy of... that would help in this regard.
Something else I'd like to see added is a mood rating - a bit like the 5 star rating you can attach to songs. It would be like the 5 star rating but instead of 5 stars you would rate songs from sad to happy. Then when you felt in a happy mood you could choose a smart playlist with all your happy songs or if you were in a sad mood you could choose a smart playlist with all your sad songs.
    Just my twoppence worth...

THANKS FOR YOUR DETAILED RESPONSE --SORRY TO HEAR YOU ARE HAVING
    CONVERSION PROBLEMS--HOPE THEY WORK OUT
I'll check out your suggestion re Buelie's discussions.
Regarding the conversion from Apple Lossless to lower bit rates, I understand
that its not time consuming from the discussions quoted below--but I am still
working on it (and still sitting on the fence re what bit rate I should use).
Secondly you mentioned the problem of duplicate songs--again I think it might
be easy to make the Lossless files distinctive. From the discussion below
I think they are already distinguished by "kind" which should make it easy to
add another distinguishing feature in a batch process. Unfortunately I'm not at that stage yet so I can't confirm that.
We are probably getting off the topic in this forum so this will probably be my last post here -- thanks again for all your help.
Below are some of the discussions (provided by King Cole) which you may or may not have read but which may provide useful:
Problem: Before I knew anything about bit rates or file sizes, I accidently imported a ton of my music as giant music files like Apple lossless! Now, my iPod has filled up with far fewer songs than Apple said could fit on my iPod! What do I do?!?
    Solutions:
You have a couple options now. What you are going to need to do is convert the songs to a smaller file size like mp3. Under your import preferences (which can be found under iTunes>Preferences>Import Tab if you use an Apple or File>Preferences>Import Tab if you use Windows), change the file type to the type you would like to convert your music too.
Then, in your music library, sort your music by "Kind." If there isn't a "Kind" column at the top of your library, right click or control-click the "sorting bar" and select Kind. Click on "Kind" so that the arrow is either pointing up or down. See what file types your songs are. Are there any that are already in the file format that you are about to convert to? If so, don't select those songs. Otherwise, select the other songs (we'll say for discussion purposes that you chose AAC under the Import tab). Right click or control-click the selected songs and choose "Convert to AAC." iTunes will then copy and paste all the songs you selected into the new file format, AAC. Now, you have two options. If you have plenty of memory on your computer, I would choose Option 2.
    Option 1:
You could delete all the music in the large file format from your library and continue syncing the iPod automatically.
Pros: You don't have to change any of the settings you use to sync your iPod. You also save hard drive space.
Cons: You delete the higher quality music. If you ever want to play your iPod through a stereo or high quality speakers, you won't have the high quality music to play. Also, you have to recreate all your iTunes playlists.
    Option 2
Make a Smart playlist (File>Make New Smart playlist). Choose "Kind" in the first drop down menu. Choose "Does Not Contain" from the next drop down menu. Then, type in "Apple Lossless or whatever the large song file type was." What this does is essentially create a separate library for you; one that contains no large files. Now, depending on how many playlists you have, you may want to replace the songs in the playlists with AAC files, but if you don't have too many playlists with large files, it should not be a problem. Next, connect your iPod. Go to File>Preferences>iPod Tab Choose automatically update selected playlists only. Then select all the playlists, including the smart playlists, you want to sync onto your iPod. This will sync all the files in your library, excluding those in the large format.
Pros: You get the best of both world. You have all the lossless files on your computer, and all the AAC files on your iPod.
Cons: You take up a lot of file space on your computer when you virtually duplicate your library.

  • ODTUG Kaleidoscope 2009 : What OBIEE Content Would You Like To See?

    Hi All,
I'm one of the track chairs for the upcoming ODTUG Kaleidoscope 2009 conference, in Monterey USA next June. I'm interested in any thoughts any forum members would have on the OBIEE content you'd like to see at the conference, and to encourage forum members to submit abstracts for sessions you'd like to run.
In particular, this year, I'm interested in seeing if there is any interest in more advanced OBIEE features, given that the product has been out for a couple of years now and developers are getting pretty experienced with it. Is there any interest in sessions such as these?
    - Performance tuning OBIEE queries (perhaps focusing on federated queries, or where aggregates are used?)
    - Clustering, high availability
    - Best practices around OBIEE data modeling (the common enterprise sematic layer)
    - Experiences around bring OLAP data into the semantic model (perhaps from Essbase or MS AS, maybe in a hybrid arrangement with relational data)
    - Integrating OBIEE with other applications (via web services, via GO URL etc)
    - Informatica or ODI mappings in support of the BI Applications.
If you've got any ideas, either add them to this forum post, or add them here:
    http://www.odtugkaleidoscope.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=62
If you're interested in submitting an abstract, the relevant web page is here:

You've got some great requests here guys.  This forum is primarily focused on the new features and bugs in the current beta, so it'll be closed when the beta finishes.  The best place to get your requests considered is the Feature Request forum http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family because others can also add their votes so Adobe can see which requests are most popular, and the requests can be easily tracked.  They stand a much better chance of getting attention there too.
I find that interface quite confusing. The LR posts are all intermixed with Photoshop, Carousel and other tangential programs.
Plus you find LR3 era suggestions appearing before LR4 ones. (because somewhat had left a more recent comment)
They need to enable some better sorting a organizational options for it to be truly usefull.

  • Suggestion BOX for Premiere Pro!!! Add your suggestions. what would you like to see in CS 6.5 or CS7

    1. I would appreciate if you could import and link files like in avid media composer.
Sometimes we work on bigger projects and from different computers, but if I open the project on another computer I have to relink the files, what sometimes is really annoying, and sometimes I take my work  home, but can't, since the files are placed on different servers/locations I just can access at work. So, the "real" import would be very helpful.
    2. You also should be able to have the opportunity to structure your project like in avid media composer.
If you create a new project, there should be just one place/location where your files are stored like the Avid MediaFiles folder.
    3. On the list view - it should be possible to sort assets, and in the project window the icons are still to large (even though you are already chose the smallest)
    4. Speed/Duration - It should be possible not only to adjust the % it would be nice, also to adjust the frame rate.
e.g. you have a project/clip with 25/24fps. and you want play it in 24/25fps without skipping/interpolating frames.  Also when you render it, it should be possible to choose this option (with the information that the clip will be played slower or faster, depends what you want)  It's just like you would speed or slow down the indicator in the timeline.
    5. Is it already possible to choose a window via keyboard???
If the source monitor is activated and I want to activate the timeline, can I do this without using the mouse, like (alt+F4)?   Jumping between the source-project monitor, project window, timeline ....  This would increase my work SPEED also if you in the source monitor and want to jump into the effects panel should be possible  without mouse (tab).
    6.  If you already work on a project and you recognize that you have the wrong audio track settings that would it be possible to change it from mono to stereo and stereo to mono.
    7.  Multicam
If you have set up a Multicam session with many (and/or) big files, than would it be nice if you could do a right click on it and choose something like - convert to workable quality (proxies) - (also the size of the video e.g. from 720p to 360p should shrink)(option box where you can adjust the quality/size and also what premere pro suggest) because in many cases you have to convert it manually and this are some extra steps you have to do, what I think isn't necessary. After you are done with the editing you should right click again and able to choose - replace with original files - or something like that.
Editing in MULTICAM MODUS is sometimes still a pain. We want edit sometimes in Multicam - Monitor, but every time I stop recording and press play and just want to change the camera, I get an new edit I don't want (and rec turns automatically on) Then when th rec is on and I go frame by frame and click in the multicam monitor on the camera I want, it doesn't add an edit. This all is so weird and makes multicam uncomfortable to work.
I'm really interested what your ideas are and maybe adobe picks some of it (hopefully) to improve premiere pro.

Thx for this input and information!
    I'll try it.
1&2. Most of the time, the files get moved from one server to another where I have no influence on it. That's why import is so important to me, and still have to work on avid media composer.
    4. I knew that it'll work like this this , but I still hope it's going to be easier in future, so I can avoid an extra sequenz
    5. Thx a lot, because I couldn't find out, and this will speed up my work speed
    6. Never mind, I just had once the problem I made a stereo track (because it was recorded in stereo). Then came the time to mix and master it and figured out (this should be mono) I tried to change it to mono but I couldn't.
    7. I'm using multicam most of the time on a mobile computer and I have footage of 4 cameras in 1080p or 720p50/60. Then I can't edit it in multicam because it's too much for my computer and I have to resize it what takes ages. I know you could say I should purchase a better computer, but I have no problems to edit 2 video tracks in 1080p
Thank you again, and sry that I posted my wishes in this forum. was looking for suggestion box but couldn'd find it. Now I know it's called wishform.
    Again THX alot.!!!

  • Which feature would you like most in Apex 3.0?  BETTER TABULAR FORMS!

Everytime I create a tabular form, I get a little bit nervous, when I test it. Because there is everytime something that does not work like it should work.
Sometime Rows in the tab form will be duplicated or masters won't be updated when I update the details and want to save and so on... It's a magic thing when I change something in the wizard generated forms (the principles of master detail transaction are a little bit confusing when I see the different processes the wizard has created)
And error messages leads me to a new page, where I can't find out which row causes the error.
    That's my prio:
    1. Better Tabular Forms
    2. Better Tabular Forms
    3. Better Forms
    4. a more comfortable Layouter
    100. PDF
9999998. Access/Excel to HTML DB Migration tools (they will never work because HTML DB and Excel are something completely different)
    9999999. Web Services
Oh forget the most important prio:
    0. Apex => HTMLDB ;-)

This cannot be customized. In a future release we might (might) have an editor that you can customize but we do not have that now. The very last icon you see in the Standard HTML Editor is 'Maximize the editor size' (looks like a window) and it will expand the textarea to fill your screen.

  • Would you like to see a "gaming cradle" for advanced gaming on iPhone?

I would love to have a device that the iPhone plugged into that had analog sticks and buttons needed for modern games. You could also have memory built in to hold multiple titles.

that sounds cool maybe u should take that to the iphone feedback site
it should also have a built in battery so it doesnt just drain the crap out of the battery

Personally, on a blog I like a few how to's, information on the company and most importantly? Exposure of bugs and issues. If something in the product is broken then TELL US. If a patch comes out, TELL US.
So many places don't inform people when a patch or update is out.

So we're planning out our blog posts and social media for Q3 and I just wanted to ask what kind of stuff from a backup company like Carbonite would you like to see?
    How-tos?
    Videos?
    General IT information
    Tutorials?
    Lemme know
Also I apologize if this isn't supposed to be in the backup forum...I didn't know where else to put it

yeah. DJ is right.... all my sounds are converted to 5.1.
    even if thay are stereo.

    MP3's

    play out all 6 speakers
    From what i know, not.
The Prologic comes from your decoder on the other side of the SPDIF. Mine has 2 different settings for prologic and DD and does not switch automatically.
As for MP3, it only works with the good winamp plugin.
Do a very simple verification: Take winamp, use waveout plugin, play an mp3 and look at the sndstorm panel.
You'l see that on the equalizer only the front speakers are moving (plus the sub and center if you have checked the "create center" and "create LFE" in the speaker setup). The fact that they react to the created channels but not on the rear proves that your sound DOES *NOT* come from the APU, but from your receiver.
