What file format are the GB instruments in? EXS?

A search on the net throws up no answer to this question. I can only suggest that you try asking on a forum dealing with Reason.

  • What file format are the transparent images on "Get Started with Pages"?

    I can not figure out the file format used for "Masked"/"Clipped"/"Transparent"/"Outlined" images on "iPad Page"s such as the "Butterfly"or "Giraffe". I have tried using Transparent PNG files but they do not work. I was thinking of using Transparent Tiff or PSD files but I thought I would see if anyone knew the answer first.
    Thanks,
    Ryan.

    Glad to hear it worked for you.
    I think the issue is that before iPad, the iPhone OS did fine saving everything as a JPG. And I'm sure most users of Pages for iPad will never have need of dealing with a transparent PNG. It's those that are using these apps to push the bounds that see the possibilities and get somewhat frustrated with the workarounds.
    Your feedback to Apple would be helpful in future changes.

  • What file formats are supported on a Mac/Quicktime?

    I just need to know what kind of file formats are supported on a mac, or for quicktime on a mac computer. Im trying to make a video from a windows machine work on a mac, but don't know what format to save it in. If anyone could help me out, that would be great!
    --Kourtney

    Oh, I was not discounting it's utility for your general 10.4.7 (and higher) users. I can think of several situations where it'd be most advantageous. If the user does have 10.4.7 and has permissions to install Perian, then it's near the top of the list of "things nice to have."
    I was just saying that it's generally a good idea to work out everything on the sending end so that all the recipient has to do is open and enjoy. Most of us have had stuff converted to .WMV so that Windows users wouldn't NEED to install QuickTime to see our video, it's the same kind of thinking.

  • What file formats can the AEBSn read?

    I have two Windows PCs which will be connected via Ethernet to the AEBSn and a 2.16GHz MacBook(N-Enabled). I am planning on backing them up to an 500GB AirDisk, but I know that the AEBSn is not compatible with NTFS. Does anyone know if Windows can read HFS+ or if there is some other solution?
    Thanks,
    Sammy

    Sam,
    You are mixing up disk file systems with network file systems.
    Format the Airdisk as HFS. (disk file system)
    The PCs will access it as a network device using SMB.
    They won't know anything about the alien disk format - they only see the network file system which they recognize.

  • What file format can import?

    imovie version is 7.1. I downloaded some clips from my cell phone onto hard drive and they show up as quick time files, play without difficulty on quicktime player. However, imovie won't import them, says they are not compatible. ?What file formats are compatible? ?Why would apple put quicktime and imovie on my hard drive, but not have them able to use same file type?
    If it is important to know, I imported the files from my cell phone's card; I don't have a cable to attach my phone to USB so I don't have a way to directly try to download from the phone to computer. ?would I be able to import the files from my card to imovie?
    any other solutions?
    all help much appreciated

    The MPEG4 video codec should probably work. However, the audio codec looks like a proprietary codec that is unlikely to work. But it is good news that it will play in QuickTime Player. If QuickTime can read it, you should be able to convert it to a format that iMovie can handle.
    You could do this with QuickTime Pro ($30 from Apple). But there is a free program called MPEG Streamclip (from Squared 5) that will do this. Drag you clip into MPEG Streamclip and then FILE/EXPORT USING QUICKTIME. Choose h.264 or mp4 as your video codec. Choose uncompressed, or AAC, or AIFF, or MP3 as your video codec. AIFF is most likely to work. Keep the dimensions of the clip at "current".
    Be aware that your file is about a quarter of the resolution of a standard definition TV set, so don't expect it to look great. But if you plan to look at it online rather than on a TV or DVD, it should be fine.

  • What format are the .tmp files created by hp scanner deskjet f2400?

    What format are the .tmp files created by hp scanner deskjet f2400?  I had a customer get the dreaded "out of space" error after scanning over a hundred pages that she was going to have all in one multipage pdf.  So all that work was gone (each page was a painstaking layout of multiple elements, etc.), except for the hpfAAAA.tmp files.
    I'm trying to recover the data.  I should say, the data is now recovered, but now I must figure out a way to use it.  How can I open these HP .tmp files?  What format are they saved in?  There is no human-readable header to give me a clue.
    If anyone can help me, it would be much appreciated.  You will be saving a very nice woman many hours of work duplicating what she already did.  Thanks,

    Hi LC475,
    There would be no way to read the .tmp file. Unfortunately she will need to free up space on her hard drive before attempting to scan the documents again.

  • What is the largest MMC and SD card that the Acer C710 can use, and what file formats can be used?

    What is the largest MMC and SD card that the Acer C710 can read from and write to when inserted into the built-in 2-in-1 card reader? What file formats can be used with aforementioned MMC and SD cards?i.e. FAT, FAT 32, exFAT, etc.

    Thank you for you help. I forgot to mention what is the highest class of SD card it can use at top speed, and are there any classes that will simply not work? An example answer would be, the highest speed that it can operate at clase 6, with class 8 being the highest class compatible; class 10 will not work. Also note, there are new cards faster than class 10. I have seen symbols like U1 and U3. I don't expect a discount computer to run an SD card faster than class 10, but it is important to know if U1 and U3 at least work.

  • MAC OSX 10.9.5: What is this strange file format in the Open Dialog box?

    Hello all.
    I'd never really noticed this, but I saw a rather unusual file format in the Open dialog box and was wondering why it appeared as it did. It appears as follows from the file/open dialog box:
    To be completely transparent, I'd originally posted this image on my twitter feed to @illustrator. Since then I have been in communication with Scott but the advice has been to reinstall Illustrator. If this had happened on one machine, I'd be inclined to agree that this may do something, but since discovering this unusual format, i've since seen it on six macs running OS 10.9.5 and illustrator version 18.1.0 OR 18.1.1
    Can anyone else confirm that they see the same thing; or if there is a difference, what this format is meant to actually be. I suspect this is a bug but need confirmation by other users.
    Colin

    The error occurs on all machines I have tested. 5 of the machines have the suitcase fusion auto-activation plug-in, but one had no plug-ins at all. All software was installed literally "out of the box" from the creative cloud.
    UPDATE - tested 3 more machines in the office all running 18.1.1 on OSX 10.9.5 and they ALL do the same thing, all installed with the suitcase fusion auto-activation plug-in, but otherwise installed "out of the box" from creative cloud.

    If you're working in CMYK, "softproof" your colors by choosing View->Overprint Preview. Note the keyboard shortcut
    If you're working in RGB, make sure the Creative Suite color management is synced. This is done through Bridge. May I suggest looking that up in Adobe Help.

  • CG36 - Import report - No file format in the key file?

    Hi all,
    Transaction CG36: .Key files are successfully checked by u2018Check directoryu2019 in transaction CG36. The second step is the import process. The Import shows u2018greenu2019 successfully. But the Job description shows the following message:
    No file format in the key file test.key
    Number of errors: 0
    Job Finished:
    More details:
    No file format in the key file test.key
    Message no.C114
    Diagnosis:
    No entry for the document file type was found in the key file test.key
    System response:
    The report for the key file test.key is not imported.
    Procedure:
    Ensure that a document category is entered in the key file test.key
    TEST.KEY - Key file structure:
    CPN=TEST
    DTY=SDB
    SID=000000000492
    PRN=TEST PROD
    CTY=GB
    LAC=E
    STA=V
    DAT=19.03.1996
    FNA=1.PDF
    FTT=PDF
    During the report import (CG36, Dok-X), the workstation application is defined using the FFT entry in the key file, as displayed above, the key file as FTT=PDF defined correctly.
    We have processed the customizing settings which are required and described under: Report Import: Check Additional Settings (under EH&S u2013 Product Safety > Interfaces > Import and Export > Basis Settings for Import and Export).
    Is anybody familiar with the issue: No file format in the key file?
    What do I do wrong? Is the above Key file structure incorrect?
    Is configuration in SAP DMS required?
    Thank you in advance.
    Kind regards,
    Roy Derks

    Hello Roy
    my assumption would be: there is a typing error in the key file. If the content of the key files is like what you have published you must use in the key file
    FFT=PDF
    and not
    FTT=PDF.
    No further information is necessary and the other data seems to be perfect.
    With best regards
    C.B.
    PS: if necessary my be you could check DMS customizing. By standard EH&S implemenation a document type "IBD" should be there whiich is used for e.g. pdf file.
    PPS: I have no idea why the reimport check does not show up this issue.

  • Which file format renders the fastest?

    I'm a student and I'm editing variety of file formats and codecs like .wmv, .mp4 (h.264/aac), .mpeg, .mov, and others...
    What project settings should I use to render or export these videos fast?
    Or, if that is not possible...
    What file format should I convert all the videos before editing?
    (Like if you are using Final Cut Pro, you convert it to Apple ProRes422 first before you edit)
    Thanks guys!

    We have two i5 laptops. I ran some tests with intermediate CODECs (Cineform and Matrox).  In the case of HD footage it didn't help improve workflow or playback quality at all.  The bottleneck is the architecture of a laptop - they just can't move the data around fast enough.  CPU wasn't under much strain, GPU (Nvidia in our case) wasn't being taxed and 8GB of RAM should be plenty for basic editing.  Ours fly editing DV and do OK with HDV but full HD is just beyond reach for more than a couple of streams or any kind of keying.  We do have MXO2 Max units and also eSATA drives attached - the 1st gen i5 systems with Nvidia GPUs are plenty powerful for SD and simple HD jobs.  Encoding the Matrox is fast to H.264 - which is great for BD, Vimeo, iPad etc.  The reason you see variations in decoding and transcoding speed is that codecs vary in complexity. Many are designed for distribution rather than editing OR in the case of AVCHD (and other Mpeg4 variants) highly compressed to save space/bandwidth. As such they need a lot of computing grunt to decode them.  Laptops definitely have limited architecture compared to most desktops. Think of them as having a good engine and tyres but a lousy gearbox.

  • What file format can be used to play 3D videos on Panasonic TVPlasma3D with USB PenDrive?

    What file format can be used to play 3D videos on Panasonic TVPlasma3D with USB PenDrive?
    I writed to Panasonic Italy support about this question:
    "What file format can be used to play 3D videos on Panasonic TVPlasma3D with USB PenDrive?"
    Panasonic writed me in a very poor manner and said me:
    "...riproduce formati: AVCHD (anche 3D), SD-Video, DivXHD, JPEG, MP3, AAC tramite USB e Slot SD/SDHC/SDXC card..."
    "...formato : AVCHD estensione file nella SD: .MTS..."
    I made a few videos edited with PremiereProCS5 and exported as H.264 Coding and .mp4 file extension, all side by side, with layout 1920x1080pixels that includes two stretched frames at 960x1080 pixels.
    This is the same image layout that uses the Panasonic 3D consumer camcorder "HDC-SDT750", that record AVCHD videos with file extension .MTS.
    I also tried to export another video as MPEG2 with .mpg file extension.
    But at the store the tests failed, and I cannot see anything!
    My questions are:
    1) What format can be used by PremiereProCS5 for exporting the Stereoscopic 3D videoclip and play them via USB port on Panasonic TVPlasma3D such "TX-P46VT20"?
    2) What codec should be used? H.264? H.264-bluray?
    3) What file extension should have the movie file? .mp4?
    Many Thanks!
    Horsepower0171.

    -I already read entirely those threads, but nothing about stereoscopic 3D AVCHD movies through USB port, on Panasonic TVPlasma3D.
    (Also, Sony said me that is not possible to play 3D videos on your 3DTV through USB port).
    I tried to made a H.264 videoclip, with .MP4 extension, at 960x1080p side-by-side layout, but nothing was displayed, and black screen.
    I think that just the AVCHD movies, with .MTS extension, that comes from Panasonic consumer camcorder "HDC-SDT750", can play the 3D videos via HDMI cable, not USB port.
    But not the exported videos from PremierePro via USB port.
    I seen this tutorial from David K Helmly:
    http://www.youtube.com/user/dhelmly#p/a/u/1/_YtF0c2bmkw
    Dave export the video from PremiereProCS5 as "MPEG2-bluray" format with "Match Source Attributes (HighQuality)" Preset, and build the Bluray Disc in EncoreCS5, with the footage as MPEG2 with .m2v file extension:
    1) Anyone tried to play correctly in 3D, those MPEG2-.m2v side-by-side files, in Panasonic3DTV, with BlurayDiscReader?
    2) Why MPEG2.m2v side-by-side?
    3) The official standard stereoscopic 3D format, is not the .MVC (MultiViewCoding) for Bluray3D Disc?
    I am confused!
    Help!

  • What file format is needed to import images files from Lightroom or CC directory?

    I have tried accessing psd, tiff and jpeg files to import them into Adobe Shape.  All have received an error message saying that the file format isn't supported. What file format should I be using for my images in order to import them?
    Thank you!

    If your not going to do any individual layer effects or animation then TIFF's would be generally easier and faster to work with. If you are gong to do some effects and layer animation you should do that in Motion then bring the Motion project into FCP.
    My Opinion, My Two Cents, That's might be what its worth.
