What file format is needed to import images files from Lightroom or CC directory?

I have tried accessing psd, tiff and jpeg files to import them into Adobe Shape.  All have received an error message saying that the file format isn't supported. What file format should I be using for my images in order to import them?
Thank you!

If your not going to do any individual layer effects or animation then TIFF's would be generally easier and faster to work with. If you are gong to do some effects and layer animation you should do that in Motion then bring the Motion project into FCP.
My Opinion, My Two Cents, That's might be what its worth.

  • What cable do I need to import video footage from my Nikon D5100 DSLR?

    Currently I am just inserting my SD card into my Mac and copying over all video clips then importing those directly into FCPX.
    I'd prefer to use a cable, and since these DSLR's don't use the same Firewire my Sony Handycam did (seemingly), I'm at a loss about what to use.
    I am also interested in importing my footage as I record, directly into FCPX. So the cable must be capable of that as well.
    Thanks

    Ok I'll be sincere, video editing is not my thing, but I do own a Nikon D5000, and this one as far as I know is not able to "stream" recordings right into FCP. I maybe wrong though, and in that case, your USB cable should suit your needs.

    It may be possible to recover deleted pictures or data by using the Memory Card File Rescue 3D software at http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-download.pl?template=EN&mdl=&upd_id=7184&SMB=YES.
    Otherwise, the SD card may need to be sent to a professional data recovery service company, like Sony Media Services or DriveSavers Data Recovery. For more information and pricing, visit the Sony Media Services Web site at http://www.sonymediaservices.com/ or the DriveSavers Data Recovery Web site at http://www.drivesaversdatarecovery.com.

  • I am trying to make a pdf of a file and I need to get the file size to be no bigger than 10MB. What is the best way to do this

    I am trying to make a pdf of a file and I need to get the file size to be no bigger than 10MB. Even when I save it, the image quality at minimum the file size is 10.9 MB. What is the best way to do this

    @Barbara – What purpose is that PDF for? Print? Web?
    If web purpose, you could convert CMYK images to sRGB. That would reduce the file size as well.
    A final resort to bring down file size is:
    1. Print to PostScript
    2. Distill to PDF
    That would bring file size down even more. About 20%, depending on the images and other contents you are using, compared with the Acrobat Pro method. If you like you could send me a personal message, so we could exchange mail addresses. I could test for you. Just provide the highres PDF without any downsampling and transparency intact. Best provide a PDF/X-4.
    I will place the PDF in InDesign, print to PostScript, distill to PDF.

  • Firefox for Mac preferences shows .qif file format for quicken as "quicktime image format"-wrong application and won't let me select anything else

    Post to Firefox forum; Oct.2011
    Re: Quicken 2007; Mac OS 10.5
    Problem: can’t import or download Qif format files into quicken from bofa or Chase. Mac can’t recognize; how do I set preferences in Firefox (or Safari).
    https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/new?product=desktop&category=d1&search=Firefox+for+Mac+preferences+shows+.qif+file+format+for+quicken+as+%22quicktime+image+format%22-wrong+application+and+won%27t+let+me+select+anything+else&showform=1
    Hello,
    I previously used Firefox on my old Mac G4 with OS 10.3.9; the above issue existed with that system and Firefox 2.00.2 (or similar). I then "tried" to move to a G5 Mac with OS 10.5, hoping that an updated Mac Operating system and updating Firefox would solve that problem.
    I'm now working on my son's MacBook Pro, OS 10.5.8, 2.4 ghz Intel Core 2 Duo; 2gb Memory; 2 gb 667 Mhz DDR2 SDRAM.
    I still have a problem in Firefox Preferences trying to download .qif files. BofA Mortgage accounts only allow downloading of .qif files. My .qfx download works fine, but the error message is as follows:
    The error message is that this is a corrupted file or one that Preview doesn't recognize.
    and it is still a problem when trying to download Quicken .qif format files for our B of A mortgage.
    The preferences for Firefox under File Helpers won't let me name the extension I want; instead, it CONFUSES .qif (Quicken Interchange Format) with .qtif (Quicktime Image Format) for Mac.
    Therefore, when I download .qif files and try to import them to Quicken, I get a message that this is a corrupted file:
    thanks for any help.
    Val in Seattle

    Well, in the end, I just gave up and deleted the photos, in the hope that it was something to do with them. Took some more photos and they seem to have imported without any problems at all.
    Given that the same irksome photos loaded on the wife's macbook without so much as a murmur, how weird is that?
    Still- all's well that ends well. Thanks for the suggestions- much appreciated.

  • Using Power Query to import image files for Power View

    I am trying to use Power Query to import image data from a SQL Azure database for use in Power View.  I've selected both the source image table and the ?images table in the workbook query.  The files seem to load as binary data in the Power
    Query editor but when loaded to the data model with Power Pivot, the field becomes "text" type rather than binary.  Does anyone know the procedure to use  PowerQuery to load image files into PowerPivot?

    Hi,
    We currently do not support loading binary data from Power Query into the Power Pivot data model. This is something we'd like to address soon. For now, you will need to use the Power Pivot import capabilities if you want to achieve this.
    Sorry about the inconvenience - we will try to enable this feature over the coming months.

  • How to import image file of OS

    I was give an .img file of a server......I didn't receive a vm.vfg file at all, I the image was just simply copied from the running_pool on the oracle vm server after it was shut down.  Now...can I import this image into another oracle vm server using vm manager or some commands on the oracle vm server itself?  I was also sent the following information...
    more dns
    # Automatically generated xen config file
    name = "dns"
    memory = "256"
    disk = [ 'file:/OVS/running_pool/dns.img,xvda,w', ]
    vif = [ 'mac=00:16:3e:2a:4d:73, bridge=xenbr0', ]
    vfb = ["type=vnc,vncunused=1"]
    uuid = "4f91b207-a6a5-5bec-9ada-d60cc9254ce5"
    bootloader="/usr/bin/pygrub"
    vcpus=1
    on_reboot   = 'restart'
    on_crash    = 'restart'
    This was generated on the original oracle vm server....should I edit that to reflect the uuid of the new oracle vm server and can I create my own vm.cfg file?  The server where this image come from does not have oracle vm manager controlling it, the admin has simply been using the oracle vm server interface itself to mount the domains..is there a way to generate a template from just the oracle vm server and not using the manager?

    I would change the name if the image file to something meaningful and simply copy the image file to the storage repository /OVS/Repositories/[YOUR Repo]/VirtualDisks and then simply rescan the storage repo. That should "import" the new image to your repo and make it available for use.
    The information shown about the VM indicates that the boot loader is pygrub - that would make this guest a PVM one, so you could simply create a new PVM in OVMM and choose the just imported vdisk as its first disk. The info for this guest also suggests that it's MAC-Address is 00:16:3e:2a:4d:73, so you will need to adjust the settings inside the guest once it is running on you new OVMs.

  • Difficulty importing image files

    I am trying to import image files (jpeg, psd etc. ) into Adobe Premiere but an error message keeps coming up, "The video bit depth of this file is unsupported". I know for certain that these type of files should be supported but I am still getting this message.

    It means what it says - your files are 16bit or 32bit or have unsuitable color profiles/ color modes. Convert them in PS.

    Hello, I'm having a issue that has suddenly and unexpectedly happened. After Effects will no longer allow me to import image files. I'm running a Mac with Yosemite. I've deleted preferences, I've restarted the computer. The only thing I haven't done is uninstalled and reinstalled.

    That's bizarre. A reinstall used to be the first thing we'd do (back in ye olde AEv1.0 - v4.0 days). It's the last thing to try these days. But, AE is one of the more complex apps you'll ever have on your machine. I suppose it's possible still as brittle as the olden days.
    There are many dangerous methods Mac people try when trashing an application in Yosemite. Most of us have no clue where all of the fiddly bits are hidden. How did you accomplish your reinstall?
    I wonder if any of the AE wonks or Adobe folks have an opinion on when reinstalling is simply the easiest thing to do. Is reinstalling only a reasonable option for specific issues?

    I am running InDesign CS5.5 and trying to open an In Design File but getting an error message. " Cannot open the file "PDavidLCover.indd". Adobe InDesign may not support the file format, a plug-in that supports the file format may be missing, or the file me be open in another application."Please help I really need to get this file open.

    Since you've shown us the folder contents it's a good bet it isn't in use (no lock file). And it doesn't look like the file is mis-named as there doesn't seem to be anything else there that would be the .indd file (but just in case, open it in TextEdit and paste the first few lines here so we can see what the file header says), so the most likely case is the file is damaged. Is that on a removable device of some sort?
    You can try the tool at Repair corrupt InDesign Adobe files on Mac OS X  or send me a link to the file by private message and I'll try the recovery tool I have for Windows.

  • What is the best way to import word documents from a PC to the Ipad2

    What is the best way to import word documents from a PC to the Ipad 2?

    You first need an app on the iPad that supports word documents - the iPad doesn't have a file structure like a 'normal' computer, and every file/document needs to be associated with an app. If you don't have such an app then options include Apple's Pages app and third-party apps such as Documents To Go and QuickOffice HD. How you then get the documents on the iPad will depend upon the app that you have/get as different apps may use different methods e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc.

Without knowing which DBMS you are using, that is just about the best I can do. Google is your friend.
