Can someone fix my DSL - I called tech service - No help there, Iam paying for 1.5/768 plan, getting 198/650

#1 Is wireless in the router enabled?
#2 If so, to question number one above: What level of wireless security is it set to ( WEP / WPA )?
#3 Post the modem status from the modem.
This info may be at System Monitoring -> Advanced Status -> Transciever Stats.

Hi Nick, thanks for responding. Sorry I wasn't clear.
What I want to figure out is regarding FCP X and FCP Studio in the same machine.
I installed FCP X. Moved the FCP X's applications into a folder. I moved the FCP Studio Apps out to the root directory of my applications folder.
But what I didn't do, is open Motion 4, before opening any other application form FCP Studio. (This is what Apple recommends to do)
Now every time I want to open a motion 4 file directly from FCP 7, the new motion 5 opens. I'd have to modify files individually to "open with" motion 4.
I am working in a school setting, (public computer) so I want to leave it easy for users...

What happens if receiver FTP server is down or replaced.?

Hi folks,
In a scenario like IDOC to FILE or any other to FILE , for any reasons FTP server was down or replaced. Then what happens to the messages ( with quality of service EO r EOIO). What is the status of messages.
If the FTP server has been changed then those details has to be entered in SLD.?

I am using Firefox 32.0.3. There used to be a drop down search engine menu on Firefox. Has it been removed from the latest version or is there some settings adjustment I can make to get it back? Thanks for any feedback.

Hi brianvt, if you find the new design less productive, it is possible to switch back to the old search bar. Here's how:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box that appears above the list, type or paste '''search''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the '''browser.search.showOneOffButtons''' preference to switch it from true to false
This doesn't affect the current window, but each new window you open (Ctrl+n) will have the old Search bar.

What happened to the quick browse button (down arrow) that use to be by the back button for quickly moving back several webpages?

The old Firefox used to have a small arrow button next to the forward/back buttons. When clicked it would show the entire browsing history making it easy to jump back several pages. Now it seems to be gone. I have only used the new version for a day and already I am tired of having to click back one page at a time. Was the quick navigate button moved or was it taken away?

This feature is still available, simply right click on the back button, and select which page you would like to go back to, just as before.

What happens to my Iphone 5 WIFI, doesnt work no matter what. All my apple stuff was works perfect with my router but my new Iphone 5 dont. I reestarted the router and nothin, I reset the settind in the phone and nothing. Any help?

a hypothetical questions: I have a CUA where I've configured that user info can only be changed in the central system. What happens if the central system goes down due to a crash or similar?
Can you still not change any user information in the child system?
If not, is there a work around for that so I can change user info in the child system?
If I can change user info in the child system, whats happens when the central system goes up again? Does it overwrite any changed info in the child system?

Then you un-link it from the child systems' side.

That depends on your settings. I think the SAP help pages about CUA contain the answer to all your questions.
The risk of the CUA master going down should not withold you from implementing CUA

Right before the coping finished (started with a 40 hour copy time (I know it's estimated), and with about 30 minutes left, a window popped up and said there was a name conflict between the two HD. Then it wrapped things up in a minute or so. We had formatted the new EHD for Mac. What happened?

Oh my! Obviously, I don't know what I'm doing. But I do know that my goal was to do both---backup AND free some space. My iMAc is old (2006) and I upgraded it a year or so ago to Snow Leopard. I didn't think I had the capability of backing up without an external drive, but maybe I do since I upgraded. Do I?
But I bought this My Book mostly for freeing space because I like to make cards in Photoshop and I'm forever running out of space when I get too many layers (don't really know what I'm doing there, either).

Thank you so much for beng so prompt with your reply and patient with mine. I tried for so long to see the dialog box with the library listings. When I launched iPhoto, even with holding down the Option key, it kept immediately launching into the full screen. Finally, after an hour of doing it over and over again, it worked when I held the key down for 5 minutes. Then when I was typing my reply, I kept getting a message to "Request Time Out." Didn't know how to do that, so kept hitting the OK button and kept typing for another half minute. Finally, when ready to send, Safari couldn't do it. "Try again" exasperated me until I realized I would have to begin again and use Firefox. When I got there and ready to type, I got the message that my message had been retrienved and did I want to use it?!!

What happened to all my iPhoto pictures?

I was working with photos yesterday and all of the sudden all my photos disappeared. I had a few thousand one minute and the next I had only a few...what happened? I recally making some selections (can't remember what exactly) so I might have caused this but I certainly didn't get a warning nor did I suspect this was what I had selected. Perhaps I selected another file for photos or something? Help!

Carbonite has saved me (and my husband) 4 times in the last 3 years and I have had complete meltdowns which included iPhoto in 1 case. Never had loss of data with them or the backups. Naturally, one has to reload programs and start from scratch sometimes (like I did with the meltdowns). Oh, and I spent a lot of time at the Genious Bar getting iPhoto and other programs tuned up after the downloads! There are things they don't back-up (obviously programs and email) but so far, no problems with back ups. They do take a week for my computer, because I've got so many photos, books and songs, and my husband's small office PC took only about 8 hours (and that was with a DSL). I really don't want to back-up at home because that doesn't help much if you have a fire or theft. I prefer Carbonite and would recommend them to anyone.

We have no way of knowing what goes on on your machine. All we can tell is that your iPhoto library is missing and iPhoto can't find it. If you can't find then I the only thing you can do is restore from your Back Up.
