What happen to the Start menu that was promise?

I was so looking forward to the classic start bottom  but found it was not present in the new Windows 10 Preview
How is it installed?
What is going on with the window store? I can never get a connection

For your first issue of missing Start menu, please check this settings:
Right click the taskbar and choose Properties.
Under Start Menu tab, please make sure that the option “Use the start menu installed of Start screen” is checked on:
For your second issue that Windows store fail to connect to internet, please follow these steps to see what’s going on:
Method 1: Use Microsoft’s Troubleshooter
To address this issue, Microsoft has come up with an instant troubleshooter that automatically detects problematic identities and fixes them on the spot. To download this tool,
visit the address  and follow the wizard accordingly:
If running the troubleshooter did not help your case, try working through the following solutions.
Method 2: Disable Proxy Connection
Proxy server acts as an intermediate between your system and the outside world. This can often mess up the internet routes and block certain accesses. To disable this setting, execute this procedure:
Open Internet      Explorer
Click the gears      icon displayed at the top right and choose
Internet options
Navigate to Connections      tab
Open LAN settings
Uncheck Use a proxy      server for your LAN
Try accessing the Store again and see if the issue is mended. If it did not, try other alternatives quoted below.
Method 3: Swap Accounts
It is sometimes observed that switching back and forth between Local and Microsoft Accounts refreshes any recent account changes and cures the illness.
Click Windows icon, and choose PC settings.
Under Users and accounts, click Disconnect Microsoft account or Switch to a local account.
Then, reconnect the Microsoft account to check the issue
If this doesn’t help, continue with the journey.
Method 4: Reset Store Cache
Imitating your web browser, Microsoft Windows Store stores cache locally on your computer to help the apps load faster. Sometimes, this accumulation becomes a problem resulting in efficiency drop-downs and installation failures. To clear this data, reset
the cache through the following steps:
Click Windows Icon, type      wsreset
Click wsreset show on      the search resuts.
Wait for the cache to      clear
Ensure the message The      cache for the Store was cleared. You can now Browse he Store or app
Enter your Store again and see if the problem is eliminated. If not, there is still much more you can try.
Method 5: Disable Firewall Settings
Firewall manages data exchanged between your PC and the network. It is a highly important security tool, but sometimes, it even blocks legal activities hindering your network tasks. Try disabling this program and see if the issue disappears.

    It's stuck on a yellow question marked "multimedia audio controller." It doesn't like the CD drivers or the drivers snarfed from the aborted "you don't have an sb controller installed" pull from windows\temp\CF whatever it was. It's 3am and I've been trying to get this stupid thing running for 7 hours now. I'm going to bed. I will see if it is any smarter tomorrow morning.
    It was running great until I did an "update from the web." If I hadn't have done that I'd have no complaints. Now it's hosed and I can't even get back to where I was before. I'm not impressed with creative's installation procedure.
    However, there are many people complaining about the "you don't have an SB installed" problem. Creative needs a "delete everything" button, and an "install all new drivers" button. Take a page out of ATI's book in the number of headaches created by windows installer and come up with a way to fix them yourself. ATI did. This would at least get me back to the BSOD, which right now I'm longing for.
    This is on a shuttle st6g4 with a disable ac97 sound nonsense with those drivers removed.

    There used to be a display at the top of the page that had tabs for edit and other items that are no longer there with FF4. Am I missing something? I have checked the drop-down at the upper left but can find no way to copy/cut and paste while in e-mail mode.

  • What happened to the loyalty plan I was originally offered?

    In December, I added a line to my account.  I was offered a loyalty plan, which would have been about $10 more than my current plan.  I accepted it.  When I went to activate the new phone, there was nothing but problems.  After 2.5 hours on the phone, it was determined that the number I was assigned was no good.  I was assigned a new number.  I was also told it would be wise to bump up to the next tier loyalty plan of 6gb.  I did.  But after being on that plan, I realize it is more than we need and didn't fit in our budget.  When I called to downgrade to the previous plan, I was told the prices had gone up on all loyalty plans and it was now approximately $20 more than previously quoted in December.
    My question is, if these are LOYALTY plans, why are the prices being raised while other plans are lowered?  Currently, I am paying $180 for 3 lines with 6gb of data.  The previous LOYALTY plan offered 4gb for $150. 

    I have to say it.....WOW.
    for years it was always, "Verizon is the best coverage, but you pay a lot more"
    Now, not only is Verizon not the most expensive, but they keep trying to sweeten the offer more.
    Could it be they are actually running scared?  I know a lot of customers bailed in the past year.
    Let the cell wars continue!  Other countries have much lower cell costs and data is considered a public utility and free all over.  Only the in the US did cell companies realize we would pay through the nose for it. And they were correct.
    the next time I need a phone, it will be an unlocked Nexus 6 or iPhone 6.   The ability to switch service with a months notice is key to driving rates even lower.

    In earlier versions of iTunes you could easily switch with from full window to mini player by clicking a small icon on top right of large window. iTunes 12 makes you use a key board shortcut...any thoughts?

    You open the MiniPlayer by clicking the artwork in the top central status area.
    You close the MiniPlayer by clicking the small X at the top left.

    I bought my Dad an ipod nano to listen to books on.  It used to have a menu for books so he could find what he wanted to listen to, but now the only way to get there is through search.... try explaining that to an elderly man over the phone.  I told my family that apple was the most ergonomic way to approach technology, and since then I have been proved wrong time and time again.  I am upset.

    I downloaded Firefox earlier this year because I was advised it contained an 'add on' which enabled me to watch BBC & ITV iplayer sites where I live in Spain. I forget the name of the 'add on' but it began with X.........
    It worked very well, I could stream the catchup sites without problems, but today when I logged on the 'add on' was no longer there.
    What has happened?
    Please can I have the 'add on' back

    Unless you used the Firefox Reset feature or removed the extension yourself, it's probably still around. Could you check the following tab to see whether it has been disabled?
    orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category
    The disabled extensions are at the bottom on a gray background. If it can't be re-enabled, try updating all your extensions using:
    orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > "gear" button > Check for Updates
    If it's just not there, you could try a search on the Add-ons site: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/

  • What happened to the context menu

    Firefox auto updated, could have sworn I turned that off, and suddenly my context menu has arrows in it. Why are there arrows in my context menu and how do I make them go away? I right click and use my keyboard for 99% of what I do in my browser so right click + b not working is completely unacceptable. I want my text menu back.

    Or they could put back functionality that has always been there. It's like they turned into Microsoft or Apple. Firefox thinks something is a good idea so they make the change without checking with the user base to see if anyone actually wants it.

    On prior versions there was a very useful "refresh" or restart button. Why is it gone now?

    Firefox 4 uses a combined Stop/Reload/Go button that is positioned at the right end of the location bar.<br />
    During the page load process it shows as a Stop button and after the loading has finished the button is changed to a Reload button.<br />
    If you type in the location bar then that button becomes a Go button.<br />
    You can middle-click that Reload button to duplicate the current tab to a new tab.<br />

    Go AppleWorks (menu) > Prefrences > General... General > Font menu in Actual Fonts

  • Can't go back or forward more than one page at a time, what happened to the little arrow that allowed you to go back several pages at once.

    some websites disable the back button. older versions of firefox i could hit the little arrow on the right of the forward button and it would display several back pages so i could choose which one to go back or forward to. now i go back as far as a disabled page and can't go any further. this is really annoying to lose a feature that i used all the time

    There are three options to access the history: (1) Click and hold the back button. (2) Right click the back button (3) If you really want the dropmarker back, install an addon: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/backforward-dropmarker/.

  • What happened to the zoom bar that lets me increase the size from, say, 100% to 125%? I just installed Firefox, and I no longer find that feature.

    A week or so ago I thoughtlessly installed Explorer 10 (Chrome 10?) and immediately began having problems with my google email page and one program I use through email. I got a message that I could not download Explorer 9 to reinstall it, because there "is a newer version on the machine." And I can't find a way to uninstall a browser.
    So, I downloaded Firefox and set it as my default browser.
    The problem with the email page cleared up instantly; the problem with the program that goes through email got worse (and it still runs fine on a second machine in my house.)
    AND---I can't find the zoom button to let me increase the appearance from, say, 100% to 125%, which I very much like to do.
