What happen to this view V$STANDBY_APPLY_SNAPSHOT ?

I first saw reference to this view in Oracle Data Guard 11g Handbook on Page 121.
"This view provides the current redo apply rate in KB/second:"
We are running 11g R2 so I am wondering WHY would Oracle remove this view?

  • What happened to Split View?

I wanted to watch the Macword Keynote today to see what features Steve put out there that we don't currently have.
    One is "Split View" email:
This allows us to see the email message in the current window with the email list at the top, and the mail message at the bottom.
I also wanted to put out there that I can confirm there are 2 extra tabs at the top of iTunes that they previewed, the second to last on the right vaguely makes out "ringtones".
Regardless, at the bottom there is an additional green color category that you cannot make out the text to.
Back to the question... What happened to split view on email?!?!?

It's just annoying, he really spent some time on it.
    Hopefully in an update.

There are many topics like this one. Why open a new one?

    Warren Massey -
Unfortunately, we were not able to migrate the polls and topics to the new system when we launched. The good news is that we still have access to the data and are investigating our migration options available.
We will also focus on getting some new topics and polls out to the community in the next few weeks.

  • I am running OSX Lion 10.7.4 and the computer no longer will go into sleep mode when I close the cover What happened with this option?

I am running OSX Lion 10.78.4 and the computer will no longer go into sleep mode when I close the cover. In system preferences I can no longer find the option that allows for this energy saving feature. What happened to this option and why is this no longer happening with the latest version of Lion?

No external monitors or devices attached. When you mention that this function only works when devices are attached that is true when you set up your preferences that way. Up until my upgrade to Lion the computer would always go into sleep mode when I closed the lid. There also used to be an option to check in system preferences that allowed you to choose this option. My question for the discussion is what happened to that option and how do you get the computer to sleep or at least the display to sleep when you close the lid as we have been able to do in the past. Thanks.

  • The PWR MGMT LED on the front panel of the sup720 is off. What happen with this?

The PWR MGMT LED on the front panel of the standby sup720 is off (But the active engine is on). We check the switch guide which states "The SYSTEM and PWR MGMT LEDs on a redundant supervisor engine or RSP are synchronized to the active module.". What happen with this? Thanks!

    HI @bingxiong.feng,
This is not a cause for concern as Cisco says in the following link:

    Such as a computer keyboard.
With BACKSPACE, TAB WITH SETTINGS, DELETE, TYPE OF TYPE, BOLD TYPE, UNDERLINE ETC....
I HAVE A KEYBOARD COVER AND IF I NEED TO USE CERTAIN KEYS I HAVE TO SWITCH TO MY KEYBOARD CASE AND THAT IS VERY INCONVENIENT.
IT IS ALSO A TIME WASTER.
When you installed iOS 8 did you read about the new features? Applications can create custom keyboards…
    http://www.imore.com/custom-keyboards-ios-8-explained
You need to look for an app that has a custom keyboard with the features you require, I suggest you find one without CAPSLOCK

    THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME
Again you need to look at how to manage the device - these settings can be turned off already & you can edit the 'suggestions' too.
    Settings > General > Keyboards > turn Auto-Correction Off.
Sadly you cannot disable autocorrect temporarily, so it's all or nothing.

  • What happened to "me View" and "personalize"?

I've just spent 30 minutes trying to figure out what happened to my very carefully constructed and personalized "My View" page. I'm either exceptionally dense this morning or it has vanished.
I had spent a good amount of time on setting up a few "watch this user" - they seem to be gone as well.
Could someone either help me bang my head against the wall or confirm that those features are gone?

    Hi, babowa -
My personalized Your View is present, and its Watch A User (me) works just fine.
When you go to the ASC homepage -
    https://discussions.apple.com/index.jspa
    - be sure you click the Your View tab - it may have drifted back to the default All Content tab, which won't show any of the personalizations. If it has, switch to the Your View tab and click the "set as default" link next to that tab.

  • Any idea what happened in this crash and if my MacBook needs work?

A friend of mine suggested that I post the crash report here to see if anyone knows what happened and whether I need to do anything. I would go to a Genius Bar, but the nearest Apple Store to me is 3 hours away
    Here's what happened:
I was working in Firefox when the computer screen suddenly went completely black without warning or any sounds. I tiled the monitor forward slightly and the screen came back up for an instant before a partly opaque gray curtain fell from the top of the screen to the bottom. Then a message showed up on the far left - the box was half off the screen - saying I needed to shut down my computer. I did. I waited a few minutes and powered it on. The screen was gray with tiny gray horizontal pinstripes for a while with the apple logo (also crossed with the pinstripes) while it was booting up. However, it never fully booted up. I had to shut it down again. I booted it as a target drive with another computer to copy over important documents. Then, I ejected it and shut it down. Then I powered it on, and this crash report showed up after it booted up.
And below is the crash report.

  • Import from catalog: what happens to this catalog ?

    Hello everyone!
I follow Scott Kelbys LR3 book for transferring my work from my studio laptop to my main processing computer in my office using the EXPORT TO CATALOG technique.
So then I transfer the folder to where I keep my LR pictures in MY  COMPUTER. Then I IMPORT AS Catalog into LR.
QUESTION: What happens to the LRcat and LRdata file I imported afterwards? Are they copied or otherwise incorporated into my MAIN LRcat or is it safe to DELETE the imported LRCAT  & LRDATA files because they are now part of the MAIN catalog?
I hope this is clear...   Thanks!

I'm almost certain you can delete the catalog you imported from. But to be sure, you could create an exported catalog with one image in it, import it into your main catalog, then delete the one you imported from and see what happens.

  • When I bought my iPad there was a feature that allowed me to voice record reminders.  What happened to this feature.  With all the updates, it is now gone.

When I bought my ipad 2 a few years ago there was a feature so that I could record reminders.  But with all the updates, this feature is now gone.  What happened to it?  Also, on my iphone and imac, I can dictate and it types for me.  I thought I had this feature on the ipad too, but can't find it.  Does it not exist for the ipad 2 or do I have to download an app?

Your Mac will need internet connection : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5449
For your iPad there is Dragon Dictation which might work (I haven't tried it)

  • What happens during this 'stabilisation' phase?

Engineers say that you need to wait 48hrs/7days/10days for it to stablise.
Why? What actually happens in this period?
Is this designed to appease us that our connections could get quicker after the engineer has left so we're not annoyed with the lacklustre speeds?

    Well its a stabilisation period.
If they put you straight on the highest line possible it would potential be unstable so they will take it down bit by bit to get to a point where it doesn't keep falling over over thos 10 days.
I only say this as we have our VOIP at the office going over a BT broadband line and it kept dropping so they reduced the line to make it more stable.

  • What happened to Calendar view?

What happened to the the calendar where the info box now is? I loved being able to see and select certain dates of photos.

  • Faulty display or connections with display, what happened to this topic?

Faulty screens, the bottom 2 1/2 inches of my 15" aluminum powerbook screen is gone. Ghosty, white, black or liney. Mine went bad 2 months out of warranty.
With 2,234 views and 71 posts, the topic about faulty 15”Aluminum Screens has been closed. No more posts allowed. (this is after the first forum thread was closed some months ago) Does this mean someone at Apple is actually looking at this manuracturer defect? Or does it mean the problem is too popular. I really hate feeling the same thing about the Bush administration as I now am suspecting I should feel about Apple and Steve Jobs.
The 15” and the 17” powerbook manufactured in China in the first part of 2005 have faulty screens. Look to the second page of the posts here and you will find all the complaints, as well as in the 17" forums. There is a “volunteer” named "a brody" who is trying to tell us that there is no proof that we have a manufacturer problem. The one true thing he says is that we all have to call in to Apple to register our complaints. And I say, write to Steve Jobs, directly. Tell him what you think.
We all have the same problem that started a few months out of warranty. For information on your screen: click in System Prefrences, Displays, Color, Open Profile, then scroll down to Apple Display make and model information:
    Manufacturer 00000610
    Model 00009C20
    Serial # all zeros
    Manufacture Date B87B9680
I have never purchased the extended warranty because it has always been a joke. Hardware in the past, has always been so good. With outsourcing comes problems apparently.
The update on my computer's screen problem is that now when I press on the left side of the screen, I can’t see anything below 2 1/2 inches. Pressing on the screen no longer makes the bottom of the screen visible. Gone. This is very sad for Apple. Me too, because I spent a lot on my Mac that I would not have, had I not trusted Apple products. I have used and trusted Macs for years.
I have always thought of Apple as a company that respected the people who delighted in their products. Their customers are people who paid triple for a far superior product. I am now disgusted with the kind of care I have received after buying a clearly faulty product, and after being a loyal customer for 20 years.
    Please, some justice here,
    Sherry

I did call Apple and got a case number when the screen problem started happening 2 months out of warranty.
I am in my 50]s and have always purchased Apple computers - except for the very first one that was a prehistoric Tandy. I have never purchased Applecare. It seemed a waste of money and a joke (I should clarify here my earlier post. I was not intending to say anything negative about Applecare but something positive about Apple because, in my past experience, it has been completely unnecessary for me to purchase the extended warranty. I had confidence in the Apple name, confidence that the hardware would last at least a couple or three years, and confidant that I would be wasting my money if I purchased it). My old Performa and my old Wallstreet still boot up and work just fine - tho of course too outdated to use for most practical purposes.
People who have posted the manufacturer information all have an aluminum 15” 1.67 gh manufactured by the same company, same date, same model number. The 12” and 17” have a different looking problem, but still a similar problem with the screen - same manufacturer, same date. Is it common for so many people to be complaining about the same problem so close to the end of the warranty period? The White Spot (boy I would love to have that white spot instead), the batteries, power supply in the G5 desktop, to name a few - all got the extension program.
It cannot be hard to imagine that consumers could be upset when they purchase a top of the line machine, and have it go bad right out of warranty. My Wallstreet lasted 6 years before it developed an easily fixable hinge problem, and it traveled a lot. My G4 mainly stays at home and is treated with kid gloves.
Thank you for your suggestion about calling Apple again and checking to see if they are looking into these problems. They have heard from many more people since I talked to them last.
Would you please let me know what the “A103 on the back” is that you are referring to? I am curious if your screen has the same info listed on my first post in this topic. If so, you are one of the lucky ones.
    Thank you.

  • What happened to Quick View?

In the iTunes store it seems that Quick View is no longer available. Also, when you check out any album in the Just Added area, when you are finished and exit out of that particular album it will not take you back to the exact page where you started. In other words, you have to start your next search all over from the very beginning. What has happened to the great and easy-to-use navigation feature iTunes once had? Searching for music has become very difficult.

It's just annoying, he really spent some time on it.
    Hopefully in an update.
