What happened?... Can't find the songs... Vudu or blackout/magic

Hi, I must have had a blackout or so because iTunes all of a sudden can't find the music anymore... I dod put it on another drive and pointer to the new location a few months ago and it all seemed to be fine... until now. Does this happen to any of you out there? The preferences advanced option still seems to point to the place I had previously selected...
What to do? I pointed to one of the files in the hope that the iTunes brain would catch on, but no... Before I start experimenting with the risk of doing damage to the system and making things worse does anyone have any brilliant suggestions? Is there something I should do to prevent this from happen again?
Many thanks for any help. Have a good weekend.

You've used the wrong name for the folder that holds the html page.
http://web.mac.com/artworksforyouth/iWeb/Site/Home.html
Is what it is trying to find (and it doesn't exist).
www.artworksforyouth.org redirects to www.artworksforyouth.com which then redirects to your iWeb page.
Rather than the word "Site" in your URL you need to use ArtWorks%20for%20Youth

When I subscribed to iTunes Match I lost all my songs. I did a back up of my ITunes Library to iCloud but I can't find the songs! Can someone help me?

I guess the iTunes store is not recognizing your computer. Did you de-authorise your computer after you uploaded to iTunes Match. Did you register your new computer with a different User ID? Do you have Genius turned on (which needs to be on as it works in conjunction with iTunes Match. Did you authorise your new computer?
You paid for ITunes match & uploaded your songs using a different computer. So there are obviously one or more steps which need to be taken to download your media from the iCloud. Either someone else with more expertise than I can help you, for example, Limnos Limnos ; or King_Penguin King_Penguin or Chris_CA https://discussions.apple.com/people/Chris%20CA would probably be able to help you better than I.
    I don't work for Apple, I'm only a volunteer, if you can't get help from someone as mentioned above there's always Kappy (who is extremely busy) Kappy ;
then I would recommend going through the tried and true channel here > http://www.apple.com/support/contact/
Sorry I couldn't solve your problem myself. I'm about ready to retire from this game.
    Peace Out.

  • Where in iTunes Store can I find the song from the iAd commercial?

Where in the iTunes Music Store can I find the awesome background score / song from the iAd commercial featured on http://advertising.apple.com/?
Does anyone know the artist / album? Is it a GarageBand original song?

Wikipedia has an interesting list of songs used in Apple commercials, although it does not seem to have caught up with the iAd ad yet.
The album I was thinking of (which is similar to what is in the commercial) is  Tron: Legacy (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), available on iTunes, at least in the USA store.
The songs in the commercials are always so good, they should find a way to make it easy to do a quick purchase.

  • Imported  Songs from CD.  Now iTunes says it can't find the songs

My mom has an iPhone and a laptop with Windows 7 on it.  But she's not exactly "technically savy" so she has me deal with anything technology related.
She imported a number of CDs into iTunes on her laptop and then sync'd to her iPhone.  The music plays fine on her phone.  But when she attempts to play the music on her laptop (in iTunes), she gets a message that iTunes can't find the original file.
    TIA!

Easiest way to fix that is to find the CD, reload it, and take the files off the other place on your computer. Another way is instead of putting it right onto iTunes, take it to "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music\Unknown Artist". In there, past the music then double click them one at a time. The file will start to play on iTunes and will save itself under its Artist's name/names. There shouldn't be any problem after that.
Now lets see if you can help me. Call be stupid, but I can't figure out how to post my own topic.

  • Where can I find the songs in my icloud?

    hi everyone,
I just bought a year's subscription to iTunes Match and most of my songs have been matched. The only thing is... I have no idea where to find these matches? I know they are supposed to be in my iCloud and I want to access my cloud from my mac (I'm using OS X 10.7.5.. no idea at all if that's relevant but just in case) and download my matches but I have no idea where to get them from.
I feel like there must be some huge thing that I'm missing here because it sounds like it should be obvious and easy, but I have no clue what I am supposed to do. Any help? Thanks.

    Hi,
You will find the music in your iTunes library. iCloud is a different product and does not store music.
iTunes Match scans your library, matches or uploads your music. Nothing happens to the music on your computer - uploaded tracks go to Apples servers.
Make sure you add iCloud status, bit rate and file type columns are shown in match. iCloud status will show if tracks have been matched, uploaded, purchased, inelligible, duplicate or waiting.
Matched - if bit rate for your original track is less than 256 kpbs, you can delete track from library but not from cloud and download upgrade matched AAC file.
Uploaded - don't need to anything here as the files in match are the same except of the file was a lossless or aiff file where they are transcribed to 256 Kbps for upload - files on computer not changed.
Purchased - not need to do anything if already 256 Kbps purchased audio files but if the track is 128 Kbps protected AAC then you may be able to upgrade by deleting original and downloading 256 version. Some protected files may not be upgraded as song is no longer in iTunes Store - sometimes these tracks are matched and upgraded version downloaded

  • I can't find the songs I bought on iTunes...

Hi, I just got a new ipod, and then I got a new computer. I bought some songs from iTunes, but now they're not showing up at all on my account! (or at least that I could find.) Anyone know where they went? (the money's not refunded or anything, I still have the same amount as I did after I first bought the songs)
    -thanks-

You have to copy the songs from one computer to another if you want to listen to them on more than one. Your purchases are downloaded once to your computer and you have to back them up so that you can copy them if you change computers. Your purchases aren't accessed through your iTunes account on each computer you log on to:
iTunes for Windows: How to copy purchases between authorized computers
iTunes Store: Purchased content can be downloaded only once
If you have them on the iPod you can transfer them from there: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod to a computer
If they are not on the iPod and you have no back up I'm afraid the policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage."

  • Can't find the song I purchased

I just bought a song from the iTunes library, and I know it downloaded, but I can't find it in my Library or purchased music playlist. I know I bought it too, because I tried buying it again and it said I've already bought it. Please help!

If it doesn't appear in your purchased list, then I would recommending either going into your online receipt and clicking 'Report a Problem' or doing in the same thing in your purchase history.. First of all, go into your purchase history and see if there is any record of you purchasing it..

  • Can't find the song I just purchased

I just bought a song from the iTunes library, and I know it downloaded, but I can't find it in my Library or purchased music playlist. I know I bought it too, because I tried buying it again and it said I've already bought it. Please help!

First look at your account by going to the music store and hitting your account name in the top right corner (Where you sing in and out) to see if you was charged for it
In iTUnes at the top hit Advanced>Check for purchases if the song didn't download all the way
In windows hit Start Button>Search and in the search field type in "m4p" and it will pull up all the songs you have bought AND are on your system. when searching DO NOT hit "Pics Music Videos" Instead hit "All Files and folders". in "More Advanced Features" check "Search Sub Folders"
If you was charged for the song(s), have used "Checked for purchases" and nothing downloads and you search your WHOLE harddrive (Not just Muy Music Folder) and it does not pull up the songs as being on your system, you will have to email the music store at this link http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/musicstore/download/

  • My purchased music is missing. Itunes store shows I've "purchased" them but I can't find the songs anywhere.

I was forced to restore my phone, I purchased a ton of songs from my Iphone and they are now gone. What can I do to get these back? Is there anyway to re-download these without paying again?

I even tried to re-purchase the song and I can't. It just says purchased. I don't know what to do!! Annoying.

Past purchases can be re downloaded for free >  Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
And tap Settiings > Store. Makre sure Music is switched ON.

  • Defrag my hard drive on my iMac now I tunes can't find my songs in the iTunes library

I defraged my hard drive now iTunes can't find the songs in the library. Not connected to the cloud yet. Any suggestions on getting iTunes to find the master copy of the songs so I can play them on my iMacs. I have the same songs on my I pad but I don't know of any way of transferring my music from my iPod to the iTunes library on my iMac. Any thoughts.

Same problem here. In my case I suspect due to having been cleaning out duplicate music files when hard disk was filling at an alarming rate (as I watched.) No longer doing that but my cleanup must have moved essential elements and files.
Anyone know how to get my purchased stuff, showing as purchased but with exclamation mark, back into itunes again?
