What happened? I'm walking down an NYC street, and a guy aims his phone at me -- or possibly at my iPhone, which I'm checking email on-- and he presses some button on his phone, which he's holding flat, not upright as for a photo. Should I worry?
I just got a very strange feeling that this guy was stealing data from my phone or doing something else weird. Then I gave him a what-the-****-are-you-doing look, and he said something that I didn't understand. ( If this gives you any clues, he looked like a twenty-something, slightly alternative guy.) Any thoughts? Thanks!

What happened to the pull down picture control for desktop pictures? Today as I was changing my desktop picture I saw the control that allows you to adjust the picture vannish!
Where did it go and how do I get it back?Solved my own problem. From the finder I opened a picture that I wanted to use for my desktop with Firefox and from there I opened the Desktop and Screensaver preferences and the missing pulldown was back.
My theory of the problem is that I had selected the "Change Picture" box and that eliminated the picture adjustment pull-down menu and it didn't come back after deselecting the "Change Picture" box. -
when ever i touch for example appstore it touches safari. i press home button the my phone does what ever it wants, like goes to settings and presses random stuff please help. :(
Try restarting it. If this does not work, then hard restart it which is holding the power and home button until the product ***** off. If this does not help either, plug it into the computer and restore it. Make sure you back up the device before you restore it though! Unfortunely, all movies and songs purchased in iTunes will be lost...you'll have to purchase them again! Any applications you've purchased, you can download again for free.

There is nothing saved on the SIm card in an iphone. If you have a backup of the old phone restore that to the new phone

My daughter and I both have iPhone 4s'. Last night she switched to ios7 and I am still using ios6. I use the find my iPhone app to keep track of her and since the update it no longer works. Her phone says its on but when I try and locate it from either my phone or laptop it shows it offline. Any suggestions. It's my only peace of mind! Thanks!
Does she have her own iCloud account? You can have more than one iCloud account installed on a device, and some users install a secondary iCloud account which is common to others in the family to allow "Find My iPhone" to be used from one account while keeping separate iCloud contacts, mail, etc.
But with iOS 7 although you can still have multiple iCloud accounts installed, only the "primary" iCloud account supports "Find my iPhone". So if her iCloud account is the primary, you can no longer track her from your iCloud account. Is that what happened in your case? -
I placed an upgrade order for two phones, an iPhone 6 and 6plus.
I was in the Verizon shopping cart at 11:55 and checked out by 12:01 AM pacific time.
I do have my email confirmation for both phones with ship date 9/19
The iPhone 6 has shipped with tracking number and the charge to my card came through for the price of this phone.
There is no other information available - nothing on the status of the 6 Plus. Customer service doesn't know if this is normal or if my order went through, its really bad.
Any further information would be much appreciated.I was just told by a Verizon sales rep that, when her team got in, when she checked the system at 3:03 (midnight+ 3 minutes) all 6Plus had a back order date of October, and now its going into November even though the pre-order system was showing 9/19 - that all verizon iphone 6 plus had an instant sell out.
She had no additional information on my iPhone 6 plus, not even if there was a chance for it to ship out, when the back order date would be - no further information.
(A different rep I talked to said all iphone 6 plus pre orders had a ship date of October, all of them - I asked what Verizon is going to do when they advertised iphone 6 plus for 9/19 delivery and your telling me they never had any available - at this point he transferred me... *****) -
My ipad does not communicate with my iphone on one of my email accounts and will not remove deleted emails that are done on the iphone and vice versa, what setting needs to be changed?
It's my understanding that an iPhone can only sync with one computer. You need to choose one computer. Sounds like it syncs at work, but not at home. If you want to just sync it at home, then you have to make sure the home computer has all the info that you want on it, like music etc. Then you have to deauthorize the work computer for it to sync at home. When you connect it will ask if you want to set up as a new iPhone or restore from backup. If you don't have a backup on the home computer then either way you will be wiped clean. So any photos, contacts, notes etc you have will be erased. You would need to backup or copy your photos from your iPhone. When you connect it to your home computer, it will give you that popup message to open your iPhone files. Then you can copy those photos and save them onto your computer and sync them back in through iTunes.
For your contacts, do you use any type of address book? If so you'll want to back that up and then transfer to your home computer. For notes, you can just email those to yourself and then save that email. I use MobileMe so the contacts issue is easily resolved. -

Apple can do nothing at all.
If you set up find my iphone and it is on and it has not been restored, then you may be able to track it or wipe it.
Otherwise there is nothing you can do but report it to the police and change your passwords. -
What happened to the drop down list that said recent bookmarks?
On Firefox to the right side of the page, there is a little star, and when you move your mouse on it, it
will say, bookmark this page. Next to the star is a little icon, that says show your bookmarks.
So, when I use to click on that icon, it would say most recent bookmarks, along with bookmarks toolbar, and unsorted
bookmarks. I would like to know what happened to the icon that said, most recent bookmarks, or recently added bookmarks.
I would appreciate any help in this matter.

iCloud on my iPhone still has my old email in it with no option to update it. I have no access to the old email. I updated my email and password online via my macbook, but my phone will not recognize either! It keeps popping up a screen for me to enter my password, but it says it's incorrect.

I can't fix it online because my iCloud online (although working) does not recognize either of my devices because they need updated….which I'm not able to do due to storage issues.

If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID and that ID is a previous version of your current ID, not an entirely different one.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details and some other circumstances.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device. It may take a short while to remove the account.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.
