What happened to Acro 8's toolbars?

Recently my Acro Pro v 8 updated. When it was done, all the toolbars gone. I can't find any setting in the menus to bring them back, and when I went into Acro help, I found that the scripting feature there no longer worked either.
Any hints on how to resuscitate the toolbars? Do I need to redo the upgrade?
Thanks,
EdB

Robert,
Thanks for the reply; that had crossed my mind so I performed a Kismet capture during a 35 mile drive.  Lots of probes were captured from my iPhone which was consistently sending out the same MAC address (the one listed under device settings) each time.  It should be noted that the captured probes didn't contain any wireless access point SSIDs.  This isn't the answer unfortunately.
Once again thanks for the effort.

    In prior versions there used to be a page title box in the document toolbar.  Is this gone?  Is there a way to redisplay it?

    I doesn't seem to display in Properties when in a table.  I can see it if I open a blank page, but if I open the Properties box on my main template (which is comprised completely of tables) it doesn't show.  Screenshots below:

  • What happened to my comcast (xfinity) toolbar after installation of latest firefox?

    After installing the latest version of firefox, all of my toolbars disappeared. How do I get them back?

    I found that after Firefox v29, and v30, a LOT of my settings and
    add-ons were changed / reset. Try this;
    '''[https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode Start Firefox in Safe Mode]''' {web link}
    While you are in safe mode;
    Press the '''Alt''' or '''F10''' key to bring up the tool bar.
    Followed by;
    Windows; '''Tools > Options'''
    Linux; '''Edit > Preferences'''

    Then '''Advanced > General.'''
    Look for and turn off '''Use Hardware Acceleration'''.

  • What happened to the F-Security Toolbar and Google results check?

    The previous version of Firefox allowed F-Secure to activate a toolbar for checking websites and reporting suspicious ones. Also, it allowed F-Secure to rate google search results in terms of their safety to visit. These features do not seem to work in Firefox 4. Is there a way to fix these problems and if not how could I roll back to my previous version of Firefox?
    Thanks

    for a certain reason the F-Secure toolbar suddenly works with Firefox 4 on my PC. I donk't now why, but it suddenly works today. the last days i've had the same problem as alex45. Maybe it now functions with you new firefox 4 browser, too. It's very strange, because there was not an update for the new browser, at least I've had not noticed any updates. Maybe it's F-Secure with its automatically update?

  • Just upgraded to 5 from 3 - what happened to the page select icon? Can't find it in customize toolbars.

    Used to be you could select which page you wished to go back or forward to from the arrow icons on the navigation toolbar. The history menu item only shows 10 sites without having to open history for today. What happened? Is there another icon or a new plug in for this functionality? I used it all the time.

    ''what happened to the page select icon (Back/Forward)''
    The back/forward buttons have been moved to right-hand side of the navigation bar and the drop-down was removed. User right-click or hold click for one second to see the tab history. This is item #5 in my list.
    The History menu also has "Open Previous session" and "Open closed windows",
    to see more history use the History sidebar ("Ctrl+H") or the History Library List ("Ctrl+Shift+H") and sort or view by "Last visited".
    You can make '''Firefox 5.0.1''' look like Firefox 3.6.19, see numbered items 1-10 in the following topic [http://dmcritchie.mvps.org/firefox/firefox-problems.htm#fx4interface Fix Firefox 4.0 toolbar user interface, problems (Make Firefox 5.0.1, or 4.0.1, look like 3.6.*)]. • IPhoto will not open with pictures when I click on the icon.  It does show that it is open on top toolbar. What happened to my photos?

    iPhoto will not open with pictures when I click on the icon.  It does show that it is open on top toolbar. What happened to my photos?

    Did you run any updaters recently, i.e. like just before this happened?  Try this first fix: make a duplicate copy of the library and try the following:
    1 - delete  the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your Home/Library/Preferences folder.
    2 - delete iPhoto's cache file,, Cache.dbt, that is located in your Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
    3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
    NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto.  You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences..

    My toolbars are mostly empty. What happened? How do I restore the original settings?

    * If, on Windows, in Firefox 3.6 the menu bar is hidden then press and hold the Alt key down or press F10, that should make the "Menu Bar" appear
    * Go to "View > Toolbars" and check-mark "Menu Bar" with a click on it to make that permanent. See [[Menu bar is missing]]).
    * Make sure that you have the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" visible: "View > Toolbars"
    * If items are missing then see if you can find them in the "View > Toolbars > Customize" window
    * If you see the item in the Customize window then drag it back from the Customize window to one of the toolbars.
    * If, in "View > Toolbars > Customize", you do not see that item then click the "Restore Default Set" button

  • What happened to my yahoo toolbar? I loved that toolbar and it had my school site and other things as add ons. I want my yahoo toolbar back.

    I like the new Firefox 8, but I don't like that I can't access my old toolbars... My United MileagePlus Shopping toolbar is inaccessible and I can't get my yahoo toolbar back. I really want this ability. What happened? Also, I notice that a error message appears when I have more than 3 tabs open at a time. It states that there is too much internet memory being used. What is that?

    TO "the-edmeis..." who answered my question and helped me solve the problem.
    THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I have learned so much from your answer. I knew nothing about safe mode. Anyway, it was an extension causing the problem. Firefox 3D tab manager. I don't even remember choosing to try that out, and I have no idea now what is "3D" about it. ... I'm sorry I accidentally clicked the wrong solution on here as having Solved the Problem. It isn't apparent how to change it, IF there is a way at all.
    I greatly appreciate your help. Thanks again.

  • I had about 17 tabs open on my browser. I clicked a link to open another one and when the tab opened the other tabs disappeared. What happened here?

    I had 17 tabs open. When I clicked a link to open a new tab all the other tabs disappeared. I thought a new window had been opened instead, but this is not the case there is only one window open on my mozilla browser. If I try to close the window I get a message that says there are 26 tabs opened, I opened 9 more tabs. Can anybody tell me what is going on here or how I might figure this out?
    Also, when I close a tab and try to reopen the tab using the right click menu, the 'undo closed tab' menu is disabled. What happened here? Can anybody tell me how to re-enable it?

    I've seen some occasional glitches with windows losing the toolbar area, but not one that disturbing.
    If you click and drag down on the 18th tab enough to tear it off into a new window (and possibly the same for the other newer tabs you opened), can you get the 17 tabs to re-appear in the first window? If not, I'm not sure there is a way to mend the window. If it's NOT a private browsing session, you might have to use Firefox > Exit (or File > Exit) and restore your session to get a working window. That won't work with a private window...
    As a backstop, you might also right-click a tab in the window > Bookmark All Tabs before ending your session. (Because session cookies and other transient data are not preserved when you reload bookmarks, this isn't as effective as restoring a session. On the other hand, bookmark storage is less fragile than session data storage.)
    Regarding Undo Close Tab, are the closed tabs listed on the History menu under Recently Closed Tabs? If so, that context menu item definitely should be enabled.

  • Firefox suddenly reconfigured itsself. The File tool bar is now gone, the browser wants to go to Bing,and several apps have appeard that I dodn't ask for. What happened? How do I fix it?

    This morning Firefox was working fine. Then it suddenly reconfigured itself. The File, Edit, History bar went away, as did the bar that tells me what web site I am on, and the next bar that allows me to manually enter a URL and to search via google or Yahoo, ect.
    At startup the browser sends me to Bing, and it keeps trying to activate applications I have not asked for.
    What happened and how do I fix it?

    * In Firefox 3.6 versions on Windows and Firefox 4 on Windows and Linux it's possible to hide the "Menu Bar" via "View > Toolbars" or via the right-click context menu of a toolbar.
    * Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.
    * Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the "Menu Bar" or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide (click on an entry to toggle the state).

  • What happened to the show bookmarks button firefox 3.6.x

    In Firefox 3.6 and all previous versions I have used, there was a button on the bookmarks toolbar near the New-Tab/New-Window buttons.
    The button was purplish with a white "star" in the center. Clicking the button would open the sidebar and display the bookmarks in the sidebar.
    Starting with Firefox 3.6.3 (I never tried 3.6.2), this "Show-Bookmarks-in-Sidebar" button has disappeared.
    Now, in order to show the bookmarks ion the sidebar, you have to click:
    [View]=>[Sidebar]=>[Bookmarks]
    What happened to this button ?
    Can I customize FF to bring this button back ?
    (If I rt-click=>customize, I see all kinds of buttons I can add to the toolbar, but the bookmarks button is not there).
    Thanks
    Kevin

    That button is in the Customize Palette. <br />

  • So what happened...

    So what happened to the audio or video controls in the finder window preview?
    Can anyone tell me what the **** was the point of getting rid of something that is so simple yet so needed?
    All we have is a play button now?
    and now it shows the album art.
    wankers.
    dont care about the art when I cant pinpoint position in the audio or video.
    BRING BACK THE CONTROLS!!!

    I suggest just politely asking questions instead of being the drama queen and embarrassing yourself.
    The preview available in the Finder in Tiger has been replaced with Quick Look (QL) in Leopard which is capable of previewing many more types of files without having to open the original app.
    There are a number of ways to use it;
    1. Right click over the file you wish to preview and choose QL in the contextual menu.
    2. Highlight a file and press Command + Y or Command + Option + Y
    3. Highlight a file and choose QL In the File menu.
    4. There is a QL icon that you can add to the Finder window toolbar. Highlight a file and click the QL icon.
    Have fun using the new Leopard feature Quick look.

    * Clicking the star on the Navigation toolbar will bookmark the page in the "Unsorted Bookmarks" folder and the star turns blue to show that
    * Bookmarks > "Bookmark This Page" (Ctrl+D) will bookmark the page in the Bookmarks Menu folder (you need to confirm that)
    * "Bookmark This Page" can be accessed via the right-click context menu in the browsing area or via the Bookmarks menu in the Firefox menu button drop down or menu bar (Alt+B)
    * If the URL in the Navigation toolbar is bookmarked and the star is highlighted blue then click this highlighted star or use the "Bookmark This Page/Edit This Bookmark" menu item (Ctrl+D) to edit the properties of the bookmark like name and location and move the bookmark to another folder or remove the bookmark

    Thank you very much but I'm not finding the any UI elements that map onto "Bookmarks -> Bookmark This Page" that you describe. However, the hot key sequence (Ctrl D) and the right context menu in the page get me what I'm after and the latter was right in front of my face so thank you for the respectful answer.
