What happened to an ordinary ring tone???

Hi there. I have an 8800 but there are no ordinary 'ring ring' tones on the phone.
Does anyone know how or where to get a simple 'ring ring' tone? Even the countless ringtone websites seem to be novelty noises.
Please help, I am tired of all the fancy tones on here - most of which are barely audible. Thank you.

There was a previous thread with some free equivalent tones. Haven't tried myself but might be worth a look.

Hi there. Sorry you're having trouble with your iPhone.
You shouldn't be getting a message about being connected to wifi, unless you haven't gotten the apps downloaded to your computer. Check the apps section of iTunes. Make sure you are running the latest version of iTunes on your PC/Mac and iOS on your iPhone. Try unchecking "Sync Apps" and "Sync Music" and then re-check them, as this should delete and restart the syncing of those items. You'll want to make sure that you have verified your iPhone to have your purchased content on it, also, otherwise it will not work.

What Happen to my Ring Tones

Ok so I had about 8 ring tones, Then I updated to the latest itunes and they were all gone???? WHAT HAPEN STEVE OR ANYONE ELSE THAT CAN HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!

First, don't panic.
Second, try re-installing iTunes (assuming you've the latest version--if not, be sure to update). This seems to have worked for many who've experienced this problem.
If this does work, be sure to BACK UP your iTunes library before you do anything else!

This is the third time I have updated my iTunes on my PC and the third time i've lost my purchased ring tones, when i sync my iphone with the new version of itunes. It only happens to my ring tones, all other content is fine How do I get my ring tones back without having to pay for them yet again?

Yeah, I know I can restore it, but I might as well go ahead and try. I just finished a backup for icloud and itunes to make sure, I'll go ahead and restore it and set it up as new and see how that works. Seems like I have no other options at this point, I'd still like to know what they did with the Download tab in itunes store, if they removed it or if I'm just overlooking it.

Can someone explain what has happened to the "Classic" Text Tones such as Glass, Tritone? It was on my phone and last night they disappeared and I can find them anywhere.

All of the sudden those Classic tones are gone and I can't access them anymore. What happened to them? Makes me really upset because the new tones are so long.

Basically, the computer thinks the music is 'lost'. Follow the prompts and try to locate it. It should navigate to the files and redraw the links which should make that pop up go away

Ring duration & voicemail are all controlled by your carrier. Your issue seems to be voicemail...doesn't appear to be setup on your phone. I'm not aware of any carrier that permits a cell phone to ring longer than 30 ~ 40 seconds, so that appears to be normal. Contact your carrier as it looks like your issue is voicemail.

Thx, apple master and stedman but tried all of it and still doesn't ring . I have sound on my videos and YouTube tho. Very strange.

E72: what's difference of Ringing Tone, line 1 and...

Going to Nokia E72's Control Panel, Settings->General->Personalisation->Tones
There is an option:
Ringing tone, line 1 (input tone file)
Ringing tone, line 2 (input tone file)
In my case, I used 2 different tones for line 1 and line 2.
So far, when I receive I voice call, the tone I specified in line 1 will ring to signify an incoming caller. I've always heard that ringing tone for my incoming voice calls.
But just awhile ago, it used the ringing tone for line 2 when I got a voice call. I was wondering, what that "line 2" ringing tone is used for until I heard that tone awhile back.
When does "ringing tone line 2" get triggered anyway?

I see, thanks for the quick explanation. So the caller must have mistakenly used "video call" instead of "voice call" (since video call is supposed to be quite more expensive to use).
I believe our network supports video calls (it says "3.5G " in the E72's upper screen display), however, due to it's being more expensive, I think it's not used that much yet (at least I've never tried using it, and my guess is that my caller accidentally chose "video call" -- he quickly hangup the call and called through voice call [ringing tone line 1], which is why I didn't get to answer the video call when I heard the [ringing tone line 2 sound].)

OK, so it sounds like your internal speaker is damaged or not working.
Try this first... Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescirbed for most gltiches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.
Now, try using the internal speaker again. If it works, good.
If not, there's some other problem. Is this device fairly new, as in less than a year, you should get a warranty replacement device from your mobile service provider.
