What happened to desktop context menu??

I just upgraded to Mavericks and now my desktop context menu looks like this.
Any idea?

I can't see it either. Did you use the camera icon to post it.

What happened to the context menu

Firefox auto updated, could have sworn I turned that off, and suddenly my context menu has arrows in it. Why are there arrows in my context menu and how do I make them go away? I right click and use my keyboard for 99% of what I do in my browser so right click + b not working is completely unacceptable. I want my text menu back.

Or they could put back functionality that has always been there. It's like they turned into Microsoft or Apple. Firefox thinks something is a good idea so they make the change without checking with the user base to see if anyone actually wants it.

What happened to moving the menu bar to the icon in the upper left hand corner ?

Firefox used to do this really neat thing where you could relocate the menu bar to the Firefox icon in the upper left hand corner of the browser. The menu itself was changed and rearranged as well. All you had to do is click on the Firefox icon in the upper left hand corner of the browser and the menu bar would appear as a menu from that icon at the same time hiding the menu bar. What happened to that feature?

That has never been a built-in feature of Firefox 3.6.* or earlier versions. Firefox 4 will introduce a button that replaces the menu bar, if you had a similar feature in an earlier version of Firefox it would have been added by an extension.

Multiple desktop context menu

I have dual screen on OSX when launching the application on one screen and then moving it to another, the context menu's on tables and combox box's the popup menu stays on the screen that the application was launched? Is this a bug? I don't have a windows desktop to test it on.

so on MAC I Launch it on desktop 1, drag it to desktop to and the right click the menu is on desktop 1

What happened to the book menu on the older ipods?

I bought my Dad an ipod nano to listen to books on. It used to have a menu for books so he could find what he wanted to listen to, but now the only way to get there is through search.... try explaining that to an elderly man over the phone. I told my family that apple was the most ergonomic way to approach technology, and since then I have been proved wrong time and time again. I am upset.

What happened to the Advanced Menu?

I need to convert to MP3. I can't. Why? Because the advanced menu is gone.
I try serching for answers, and all I get is stuff for the old itunes. What have you done with it?
NO! I do not have a problem with the fonts.

For your first issue of missing Start menu, please check this settings:
Right click the taskbar and choose Properties.
Under Start Menu tab, please make sure that the option “Use the start menu installed of Start screen” is checked on:
For your second issue that Windows store fail to connect to internet, please follow these steps to see what’s going on:
Method 1: Use Microsoft’s Troubleshooter

Method 2: Disable Proxy Connection

What happens to Desktop Intelligence reports when a universe changes name?

We are experiencing intermittent issues with our DeskI reports that are pointing to a universe that subsequently changes its name.
We seem to have some reports that cope with the name change perfectly well, and other reports that "cannot find universe" because it is looking for the new name.
The issue with the latter, is that if DeskI cannot find the universe, it will then not allow you to repoint the universe in the View Data pane. When such reports are found, our workaround has had to be:
1) copy universe and rename with old universe name
2) open report and repoint to newly named universe name
3) delete old universe name
Should all reports automatically update when the universe simply changes their name? Why do some reports not do this? Is there something we can do to alleviate the situation?

What happened to my rentals menu item on the apple TV. It is faster to download a movie and watch it on my AppleTV than directly from Apple and my password generally fails on apple TV. I want that menu item back please.

Last night I was surprised that the latest update of my Apple TV software excluded rentals from my PC. I have two movies in queue and want to watch them on the Big Screen but cannot find the RENTALS section of the Owner's Library menu. No warning just gone? Not what I expected from you guys. Please advise me as to how I might get that item back.

OK, Problem solved. Software on Apple TV was VERY outdated. It had been sitting in the box for over a year and needed an update. Problem solved!

What happened to the font menu in OSX?

Howcome fonts do not show as fonts in the menu in the OSX version of AppleWorks like they did in OS 7.1-9.1? Howcome I have to choose a font before I see what it looks like?

Bridge 2014: what happened to tools photoshop menu?

WHERE THE HELL IS IT?

I had no problem in this area, The Creative Cloud update installed Photoshop CC 2014, and updated Photoshop CC, Photoshop CS6 and Adobe Bridge CC. It failed to update Extension Manager. I re-installed that and thad down leveled it to version 7.0.0 and then Creative Cloud updated extension manager to version 7.2.0.74.
I opened Photoshop then used menu File>Browse in Bridge to open the bridge. I then checked Bridges preferences StartUP scripts. I notice that three were changed for CC 2014 that Adobe Bridge CC seem to be unchanged and the my hack for Xbytor Image Processor Pro was still there. I selected a RAW file and then used menu Tools>Photoshop>Image Processor. Photoshop cc 2014 Opened the Image Processor Dialog. I made some changes and ran if=t. All worked. Make sure Bridges was updated and its Preferences start up scripts are all enabled. View the screen capture in a new tab the site scales image poorly...

What happened to Navigation Tree Menu?

i was able to use Navigation Tree Menu on portal 10.1.2.0.0
now we have upgraded to 10.1.4
and it has disappeared
note: i have configured all items types to be enabled in the page group.

A possible problem is that the url on 10.1.4 changed and this menu gets the pageid from url.
Check the package, there is a part that it takes pageid from url.

What happened to Closed Caption menu?

I have Apple TV 3rd generation. I have been watching the French TV Series SPIRAL on Netflix for a few months now with English Subtitles/Closed Caption on. I've had the caption set up in medium yellow font with clear background which was nice and not obstructing. Tonight, after the auto-update of Apple TV, the subs show up in very small font in BLACK box which I don't like. I went to settings trying to reset to how it was before, but I didn't see anywhere in the menu for closed caption and there's no way to reset the appearance. That's very strange!!!! Does anyone notice this and have any suggestions? Thank you.

It looks like the option to turn subtitles on or off by holding down the "Select" button within a specific show is gone. Anyone find out if that's really true?

However on quick testing it still works for me.
I normally have CC off.
If I hold select and choose subtitles and there's no cc for that show I just see Off ticked/checked.
If a show/movie has cc I get Off/Auto/English CC to select from - Auto presumably chooses your default setting.

Automator will NOT workflows created from Desktop context menu

1. Right Click on desktop
2. Select: More > Automator > Create Workflow...
3. Create a workflow in Automator
4. Save workflow
Workflow remains unsaved, no error message is displayed..

Fixed in OSX update.

What happened to the finder sidebar menu?

I have had to spend sooooo much time trying to locate files that I just closed! What happened to the Finder menu that listed TODAY, PAST WEEK, etc? It's nervewracking! I don't want to open the files but upload them. I don't like that I can't just find them easilyl in the menu format before...... I'm not sure I like this so-called upgrade.... on the iphone it's cool, but on the MAC.. not so sure I like it.

Under your stuff, you can click on Profile and it'll show your equipment - you can change it there.
Now, as for the Finder Sidebar, if you go to Finder Preferences and click on Sidebar, it will show everything that can be shown there. Some changes were made in Lion - one of them is "all my files" - I don't need that, so I unchecked it, but you may want to try it to see if that can be useful for you. And, under the Go Menu, you can use Go To Folder. I never used any of the options you've used simply because I've never needed that. Maybe you can arrange/file your stuff by name so it'll be easier to find?
