What happened to export to mp3 in Garageband 10?

Previously Garageband allowed you to export to mp3 by clicking Share>Export to Disk> MP3 encoder, this seems to be missing in the new version. Anyone know how to get it back?

you can not open files from Garageband X back into Garageband 6
BUT
i have found it very useful to open both applicatiions at once
the recording studo garagebandX
- most of the filtres are a bit more refined and the interface is that much more sophisticated - access to all the Garageband 6 filtres are through legacy and it is a more enjoyable environment in which to work
mixing studio
bounce the tracks to itunes - (often combining voices that make sense into one track (strings example) - which results in smaller file sizes
- then create a mix track in garageband6 by dragging the tracks from the mediabrowser.
export with full capability
i've only been doing this for two weeks since i discovered this inconvienience to customers but as far as i can tell the production quality for upload is equal. and there is the added bonus of making a natural streamlining of tracks that is a little like having a good technician at your side !
and most importantly the full access to the customisation of .mp3 files.

I purchased a brand new MacBook Pro OS Mavericks and promptly began using Garageband 10.0.2. There were many sound effects provided in the program (thunder, galloping horses, etc.), and I decided to complete the in app purchase. Once I completed the download and install, I realized that I no longer had those sound effects. Does any one know what happened to them?

Galloping Horses and thunder are not part of the GarageBand sound effects. You have probably other loop packages installed, for example the Final Cut Pro Sound Effects or the iLife Sound Effects.
Check, how your Loop Browser is set. The pop-up menu at the top of the Loop Browser should be set to "Loops" to have all loops available. Set the "Scale" to any, clear the search field. In the GarageBand Preferences, "Loops" pane disable "Keyword Browsing", filter for more relevant results.
Now you should be able to see all installed loops. If not, use the command "Reindex all Loops" from the "Loops" pop-up menu.

What happened to the Export options?
I had a preset that renamed my images in the format desired by my newspaper. Now, all I see is the ability to adjust the size, and the gamma (?)?
Perhaps the options moved? I know! They moved the options over with the colored icons? Along with the missing socks from the dryer!
And seriously. Aperture could export and name my pix like this:

IPhoto 7.0.1: what happened to EXPORT?

I read through the first near-100 posts on this forum, hoping to find some answers.. I discovered the thread(s) on disabling the third party extensions for the Export function, and at least the menu comes up now - but what I want to know is WHERE DID THE FUNCTIONS WITHIN EXPORT DISAPPEAR TO?
I used to be able to, with just 2 clicks, export a number of photos of a set size and resolution, to a set folder, and drop that into my Adobe CS3 Bridge and start using it right away. This new version of the program, however, has NO SETTINGS for the resolution, and the user now has to jump through FOUR STEPS in order to make the image of a certain set of dimensions:
1. select "KIND" and choose JPEG
2. select "JPEG Quality" - where you're restricted to WORDS instead of resolution
3. select "SIZE" and be forced to choose "CUSTOM"
4. toggle between pull-downs for Width, Height, and "DIMENSION" which is totally useless
Can you [at APPLE] please have someone change the menu options back to a standard set of options that keep in line with the REST OF THE WORLD and the rest of the graphic programs on the market - and just make the menu read simply with the 3 most important values for a proper export:
1. width (in whatever units you want, as long as one of the options is PIXELS)
2. height (in whatever units you want, as long as one of the options is PIXELS)
3. resolution (in whatever units you want, as long as one of the options is DPI)
....I don't think that's asking for too much....

I have a similar problem. On my version of iPhoto 7.01, the export function does precisely nothing when chosen. I used to be able to export to facebook and picasaweb, but now when I select File>Export, exactly nothing happens; it's as if I had done nothing at all. No new window pops up or anything, it's just as if I had done nothing. Needless to say it's pretty annoying since the only reason I use the sotfware is to publish out pictures -- and since my entire photo library is now in iPhoto it means that none of my photos can be published to any site. I tried to see if I could publish to the Apple web galleries but no luck there either.
Everything worked fine before this "upgrade" and now my library is useless. What a major drag. How can Apple release such BROKEN SOFTWARE?

I can no longer share my songs as e-mail attachments. The only sharing options I have are for Facebook, YouTube, Soundcloud, iTunes, and as Ringtone. What happened? I'm using the Garageband App 1.4(180.6) This happened once before, and by the time I'd gotten done submitting my question, the problem was fixed.

I powered my iPad off, and started it back up. Works fine now. huh.

What happened to the "Create New Mp3 Version" option in iTunes 11.2.2?

I tried going into the file encoder in Edit>Preferences>General>Import Options because there is usually an option that I can set it to that will allow me to make an mp3 copy of any song (purchased or copied off of a CD), but I see now that it does not work any more and I'm completely clueless as to why. I've been searching the threads but they have been no help. I've looked at the outdated support page, which says to do exactly the thing that no longer works for me. Can anyone help me? I'm using Win8 and would prefer not to use any converters outside of iTunes. Thank you!

Okay, for some reason, I tried this yesterday at least six times and it did not even change the settings. Today, I went into the Import Settings and changed it to mp3 encoder, hit 'OK', then hit 'OK' in the preference menu (same thing I did yesterday) and it suddenly decided to show up. That was weird... Sorry, but thanks for writing anyway. I don't know what happened...

Graphic export from Score in Logic 9. What happened to the camera tool?

I used to export graphics from Score view, using a camera tool. It has disappeared in Logic 9. What happened? Screen dump is too low resolution.

The Score Editor does still have the camera tool (below the Velocity tool in the menu), but it is much better to use the Print to PDF functions built in to OSX.
Select Print, then click th ePDF button in the dialog box.

The short answer is "yes, BUT…"
DVX-100 is a DV camera, thus it only captures DV. You can export your DV sequence to whatever format you desire, like HDV (a consumer-level version of HD), but that doesn't mean it will look as good as footage natively shot in HD. You gain no quality at all, in fact you lose quality due to scaling the footage up from the DV to HDV framesize. There are workflows for upconverting your DV footage to HDV or HD posted all over this forum and elsewhere on the Net. A quick search should give you some insight into the process.

What happens to LAB color when exported to cmyk

I have a workflow at work that goes like this: We work color in Photoshop in Adobe RGB (1998) and convert to our cmyk space only upon output. I've found that, in many cases, I like to work in L*a*b. What happens when an LAB images is placed in InDesign and exported to a pdf to our cmyk space? Thanks!

InDesign can place PSD and TIFF files which are in the LAB color space.
What happens when you export to PDF depends on which PDF preset you use. If you choose PDF/X-1a, the Lab color will be converted to the working CMYK color space (by default US Web Coated SWOP v2, same as in Photoshop). You can test this by examining the resulting PDF in Output Preview in Acrobat 8 Professional or Acrobat 9 Pro.
If you chose PDF/X-3 or PDF/X-4, the color would be unchanged and the PDF would still have the image in LAB color space with the LAB profile that Photoshop created.

Garageband stopped exporting to Mp3.Help!

As the title says, Gargeband stopped exporting to Mp3. (Export to Disk)
It goes thru all the steps and the exported file is nowhere. I've tried different folders, desktop, etc, and the file, again, is nowhere.
Any help is appreciated.

6. Go to the new iCloud account and delete his contacts individually.
Of course if you have also been syncing calendars and using the same email address there are problems with doing this.
