What happened to Firefox Live Chat?

What happened to Firefox Live Chat support? This is not Live Chat, yet, this is the most relevant link I'd found, and this is NOT Live Chat. Don't you think that if Live Chat had been discontinued that the most relevant links would be to posts asking what the hell happened to it?

I think there weren't enough volunteers available to staff live chat, and given the choice of how to allocate resources, the knowledge base and forum were given priority because they reach many more users through search engines. Lately volunteers have taken to Twitter.

The only chat link I have is for install/activation issues... Next link has a "Chat Now" button near the bottom

Not really enough info to help constructively.
Which Version of iChat ?
Is it iChat to iChat or iChat to Messages (i.e Mac to Mac) or AIM (iChat) to PC AIM (needs to be a compatible version)
Is this AIM to AIM (Includes AIM valid Screen Names from certain Apple IDs) ?
Is it Jabber to Jabber (this can only be done Mac to Mac in Messages and/or iChat) ?
Do you get any failure message ?
In the Video Menu > Connection Doctor > Errors tab do you get any info ?
NOTES
As mentioned it is iChat to iChat or iChat to AIM on a PC if the PC has a compatible version (which is not the latest) (where it lists iChat it also means Messages in Mountain Lion)
It has to be either AIM to AIM IDs or Jabber to Jabber IDs
It cannot be Jabber to some GoogleTalk Web Browser Login (or Facebook)
It cannot be Jabber/Google Talk to the PC app called GoogleTalk
Google released an PC only App that will use Jabber protocols for Video (Called Jingle)
Their web Browser Plug-in also uses Jingle for Video and Audio chat but iChat and Messages use SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) to connect. The two are not compatible.
Facebook also run a Jabber server and have apparently released their Own Plug-in which can cause problems of it's own on a Mac.
However you also cannot video to a Web Browser Login on Mac or PC
If this is iChat 6 it does not Video on the Yahoo Accounts (that is Text Only)
This means it cannot Video to any version of Yahoo on Mac or PC or any Web Browser method.

Whats the Point of Live Chat if

agents are never available? No matter when I try to chat with an agent always get the reply all agents are busy

I haven't used live chat in a while, but when I used it reps connected fairly quickly. Now it seems that there's always the notation that no agent is available. Best I can tell you aren't put in a queue.
Out of curiosity, I just tried live chat again and again saw the 'all agents are busy' notation, and I tried several discussion topics.

What happened to Firefox - I suddenly lost my tab and toolbar settings and it is now an unrecognizable mess that is very slow.

Had Firefox configured just the way I wanted it. Suddenly it was getting very slow so I quit and restarted.
Now Firefox looks completely different. I lost my tabs and toolbar settings. Firefox looks completely different than it did an hour ago. What's going on here? The new design is dreadful.

Thought Firefox upgrade would fix problem of not being able to download YouTube videos. It did not. May I suggest that you use Explorer instead. Firefox live chat is not working either.

Firefox and YouTube do not work well together. USE EXPLORER INSTEAD to download videos.

I just now did exactly as you recommended. Result? No change.
Even after trashing the files and restarting and everything else, the Activity Window and YouTube behave exactly as they did before.
(I had actually previously tried something very similar to your recommendation, and it didn't have any effect then either.)

What happened to my p2p chat?(different counctries)

I and my friend have tested the"VideoPhoneLabs" and find that we can login with our id, but cannot create a chat,, sometimes "failed call" erro come out.

since you can both connect to Stratus, that suggests it's not a firewall issue: you can make UDP connections in general. most likely it is an incompatible combination of your NAT and your friend's NAT. P2P communications aren't always possible between all kinds of NATs. Matthew Kaufman wrote a detailed explanation of the various NAT issues that can hinder P2P communications with RTMFP here:

I have found that Firefox has difficulty in handling certain types of photos, but when you look at them in Google Chrome or Internet Explorer they look alright. What happened in Firefox?

I upgraded to V10 and now I have the Firefox icon but when clicked I keep getting MSN web page, what happen to Firefox?

I have had FireFox for many years and have upgraded each time without problems. This time when I upgraded to
V10 all seem well until I tried to open FireFox (icon) and it took me to msn.com home page. I uninsulated V10 and tried to replace it with V9, but it also took me to msn. I went to restore (Win 7) hoping it would restore me to the original setup. But then I could not open FireFox or MSN. I restored back to the most recent settings. Still, the Firefox icon keeps bring me back to msn. This is very upsetting since all my favorites are booked marked with FireFox and I prefer using FireFox over any browser. Please help. Thanks

Firefox is a web browser that grants you access to web based content. MSN is content provider. It sounds like your homepage has just been changed. Is that correct?
You should take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[How to set the home page]]. Your homepage might have been changed by a particular site. Sites like MSN, Yahoo, etc have been know to ask to become your homepage.
There are steps in that article to reset your homepage preferences to default. I would try that first to clear out any strangeness. If that works, you can try setting your homepage again to your personal preference.

What happened to the "Close Chat" option?

I just updated my OSX to 10.8.2 and noticed that I cannot close a conversation in Messages without deleting it. Before the update, I was able to menu-click on a conversation & select "Close Chat" to close the conversation from the list without clearing the chat history.
After the 10.8.2 update, now the option says "Delete Chat..." and I can't figure out how to close a conversation without clearing the history. Any thoughts?

I don't see why that would have to be turned on if it was already on for 10.8.1 ... Right clicking the contact on the left side Messages list now only shows "Close Chat" when that option is turned on... It was on before my 10.8.2 upgrade yesterday... Leave my settings alone!

It used to be the best web browser, until one day it starting freezing, crashing, taking forever to do everything. In the time it's taken me to load my school's system which only works on Firefox, I've had the time to google your contacts on Google Chrome, find out that you don't offer phone support (also a big minus) and write all of this as the site crashed and would not show images. Good day to you sir.

Firefox began misbehaving for my windows vista beginning 5 years ago. I've stuck with it all along, just reloading the pages, restarting my machine, etc. etc. It crashes out, it's incredibly slow, it constantly updates, it doesn't switch tabs, and generally freezes upon loading a link, showing either a scattered youtube video or pdf. It's beyond broken, and has been for a long, long time. I've stuck with it until today, in which I waited for it to respond for over 15 minutes for a new tab, then another 20 for that tab to load my search results. It didn't ever successfully open the link, so I looked it up in IE instead. The link was to install Google Chrome, and trust me, I'm no fan of the giant Google monster. But I digress. Goodbye forever Firefox.

What happened to Firefox? When I upgraded I got another line at the top with a red Firefox icon and pull down tab at one end and the three minimize, maximize and delete buttons on the right side.

The homepage would not load. The back arrow doesn't work. There is no bookmark page. To get it to all work i have to click on the house looking icom to get the homepage to load, right clik again to access the toolbars and left click on the bookmarks oolbars to remove it, the right again and left click again to have it appear. The passwords formerly on webpages do not appear and have to be entered manually. All in all I would rather have IE if i can't get my old Firefox back! edit'''bold text'''
