What happened to iTunes "print playlist"???

I like to keep physical copies of my songs on CDs. When I upgraded to the new version, the Print function of the playlist disappeared. Help?

Just in case - I found out through a friend I can still use the same functionality by using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+P. However, I'd still like to see it fixed and have the menu option available again.

    Hello danieljoseph57
Nothing, iTunes Store purchases or songs imported from CDs are saved in your My Music folder by default and aren't deleted by removing iTunes. Though it is a good idea to back up your iTunes files before any troubleshooting.

  • What happened to iTunes Essentials??

My "go to" spot for finding songs to go with home movies: weddings, Mother's day etc.
Is it gone ? Do people still create play lists to share?

I asked Apple Support what happened to iTunes essentials and they confirmed that the essentials and imixes aren't available anymore. If somebody is interested, here is the Message (in German):
"Wenn ich Sie richtig verstanden habe, finden Sie die Funktion iTunes Essentials und iMix nicht mehr in iTunes 11. Das tut mir leid zu hören.
Sie haben leider Recht, beide Funktionen sind nach meinen Informationen in iTunes 11 nicht mehr verfügbar. • What happens to iTunes purchases if they're taken off the store?

With iTunes in the cloud, music and TV show purchases are recorded in the purchases section of the iTunes store, and can be re-downloaded an unlimited number of times. Basically I'm just wondering what happens to this if an item is removed for purchase from the iTunes store?
Obviously I download all my music to my computer so it isn't a problem, but I have an Apple TV which, because of its ability for streaming purchased TV shows, means I don't bother to download any of my purchased TV shows because it just wastes space on my hard drive when I don't need to download it to access it through the cloud.
But what would happen if, say, the BBC decided they no longer wanted a show I owned to be in the iTunes store? Would its removal from the iTunes store remove iCloud support and mean I could never re-download or stream the show again, and thus effectively no longer have any access to my purchase because I didn't keep a copy of it downloaded? Or would it simply be removed from being able to be bought again, but remain on the system for people who already own the show to access?

You would not be able to get them back. They do warn you that this could happen at any time so it is your responsibility to have backups of everthing.

  • What happened to iTunes apps updates?

What happened to the iTunes app updates? Why it is returning a no update message?

the outlook on bug fixing has been poor...it's bad when they dont get fixed in an update, its worse when there is no update, and its just pathetic they continue through several versions.
the QC is bordering on a joke as well...
the crop tool now has an additional bug to the rotate one, and there are bugs that have followed several versions now.
added to the detached 'feature improvements' that infiltrate each version shows that really the end result is that PS's development is lacking, where it exists is out of touch and behind the curve, and faulty.
Anyone who disagrees with that is either a soft user, inexperienced, or delusional...or not paying or not using the product to any serious degree.

  • What happened to iTunes Plus?

What happened to the link on the front page of the Music Store that I could click to tell me which songs I could upgrade to iTunes Plus?

    Hi,
It's disappeared from the iTunes Store, but weirdly if you click the link on Apple's Support Page it will take you to your "Upgrade my Library" page.
The Link is at the bottom of the "+Can I upgrade previously purchased music to iTunes Plus?+" section.

  • What happened to iTunes 4.9?

What happened to the iTunes 4.9 download? I don't want to install 5 on this particular boot drive, but the 4.9 link just takes me to iTunes 5. What the heck is up with that? Not giving us a choice is kind of microsofty.

    TP2GO
With all do respect I have exausted many avenues as you put it. to continue that analagy I have been walking up and down these avenues, and even going down some pretty dark and scary allys too. I am not calling foul before I've exhausted all avenues. to bring you abreast of my specific situation. Wednesday I upgraded to iTunes 5 from 4.9. I also upgraded to Quicktime 7.0.2 via the software updater before I opened iTunes 5. upon opening itunes 5 i am instructed to update my iPod. so I do just that. I download the 9-6-2005 iPod updater and I open iPodUpdater and select "Update" after that is complete I begin to update my iPod through iTunes 5 and it freezes up on me around 280 songs or 1.28 gigs.
    I called apple First.
the first call the have me reinstall itunes5 and iPod updater 9-6-2005. That did not solve the problme
Next they had me select my entire library, delete and import my library using the .xml file.
The last time they had me do an archive and install of my OS X tiger. this also did not change my iTunes freezing during iPod update issues.
three different calls, three different people, three different attempts, exact same problem.
Next step I went to the apple website.
Tried the manually restoreing of my iPod holding play/pause and menu. didn't change.
Tried to erase my iPod using Disk utility, then restore using iPod updater. still no dice
Tried to reinstall iTunes 4.9. This of course didn't work and I was still experiencing the same problems as 5 in 4.9
Went back and restored my iPod to it's original software, then went down the list to each updater and did a "restore" until I had restored my iPod using each updater. No change
Went back and restored my iPod to original software and selected "Update" for each Updater until I had updated using everyone in the list.
Went to the link to downgrade from Quicktime 7.0.2 to 7.0.1 and I am still having the same hang/freeze issues while updating my iPod
I've run disk utilities from my startup disk to repair my HD.
The only thing I have not yet done, is follow the advise of someone on these boards who is at level 3 is partition my iPod using diskuitility, because I have done research on the internet about it and the majority say not to do it.
That may not be every avenue, and I addmit I may have missed a step in one or the other attempts to fix my very speciffic problem with iTunes 5/iPod. But apple has, in a round about way addmitted that something is not quite right with iTunes 5 on Cnet.com-
"Apple acknowledged the problem and said it's working on an update.
"Apple is aware that a limited number of customers are experiencing issues with installing iTunes 5," the company said in a statement. "We're working to resolve this and expect to have a software update early next week.""
    Cnet Articlel
You're right. early next week does seem like a long wait to me too. I've had this problem since Wednesday, September the 7th 2005. and for apple to release a statement with anyother newsmedia without making an official statement on their own website, not even on these boards were many and most of the people are reporting their problems and seeking advise is in my opinion very unprofesional, and discredit to the loyalty, and praise that apples customers has shown to the company.
So please can we just be more productive about this situation and try to solve this mess, on a person to person basis.
Now having said that, I've been following anything that you (TP2Go) posts because I think you know what you are talking about and I trust your advise. Is there anything in my above that I've tried that you think I should try again, or something else altogether I should try? and what about partitioning my Ipod HardDisk? is this advisable and what are the proper steps I should take if one should attempt to do this?

  • Itunes printing playlist

I have an HP 8600. A few weeks ago I could print itunes playlist fine. Now the playlist is bunched up and unreadable. What's changed? Everything else prints fine.  Using Windows 7

    Hey wrv,
When was the last time the setup has been power cycled?  If this has not been performed, then this would be the first step I would take.  Power cycle the printer, PC, and router if connected via a network connection.
Also, if you open the print preview when printing a playlist from iTunes, does it display as expected or is it bunched up in the preview as well?

  • What happened to my "preloaded" playlists?

I recently downloaded the new version of iTunes and the "preloaded" playlists disappeared. Under "Library" I see "Devices", but no "Store" and no "Playlists" (including Party Shuffle, 90's music, my top rated, recently added, recently played, etc). Anyone know what might have happened to it?

I can't recall all the default playlists but they are just Smart Playlists and you can recreate them. In iTunes go to File>New Smart Playlist. Can't help you with the missing Store however, you may need to reinstall iTunes.
    "90s

  • What happened to iTunes on my Mac?

I just updated my MacBook Air to OSX Maveric and to my surprise I see that I cannot sync my contact with my iPhone anymore.
Apple wants to force me to use iCloud. Well NO WAY EVER I will do that!
So Apple did just give me the perfect excuse to ditch my iPhone and buy a Samsung Galaxy S4.
And looking what is happening with OSX (crashing iTunes) my MacBook Air might also soon be replaced for a Windows 8 laptop.
Clever boys there at Apple! Samsung will be very happy.

Thank you, Limnos. In fact, I finally decided to fix by myself the issue by following the Terminal instructions posted by nalarewop here.
So, I have been forced to delete a native app as iTunes and re-install it, in order to let it work normally.
As long as my MacBook Pro [i7 15" Retina display 16 GB OS X 10.3.3] doesn't present any problem, neither hardware nor software, I consider this issue not a fault of mine. Even if we were only a few, among mac-users, I still believe that Apple is supposed to fix the problem.
And, obviously, I do confirm: I have restarted the mac several times, repaired permissions and - also - verified/repaired the disc itself by restarting the mac via Command-R -> Disk Utility.

  • What happened with iTunes radio?

I may be getting foggy, but it used to be that iTunes had an entry "Radio" in its sidebar which gave access to a huge number of internet radio stations. What ever happened with that? And why did it disappear? I have version 11.1.3

They decided to hide the itunes radio link and have it turned off by default in preferences. I gues there were not a lot of people using it. It is the ONLY thing I use itunes for so I am NOT a fan of the change.
Apple is getting more and more un-Stever Jobs since he has been gone. Unfortunately, we are all going to have to deal with bad decisions like this in the future. There is noone left to fight for the user experience. As each day goes past Apple becomes more and more like Windows poor user experience.
Hiding internet radio? Not a good idea. Its a core function of a music player. I had to google it just to find the friggin thing. Next thing will be forcing updates on people like Windows does right when you are logging in and need your computer to function the most.

  • What happened to iTunes DJ?

There's no way to pick a bunch of songs and start playing.  It forces you to pick one of your playlists vs. create a random mix.  This latest release lost one of the most important features!
When I select a bunch of songs and say play next, then hit play...it starts playing the playlist of the screen I last left vs. the songs that I just chose.  I have no way to just play the songs I added to the "play next."
VERY disappointing.  Is there a way I can revert back?
    h

I really hate what they've done to iTunes with Version 11.   It is a huge set back and leaves me wanting to try to figure out how to reinstall earlier versions or to simply give up on it all together and seek another format.  One used to be able to have guests pick upcoming songs with the "remote" application through iTunes DJ.   That was removed.  Also, you used to be able to use upcoming songs as a screen saver in the "cover flow" under View.  Doesn't exist anymore.  Who makes these decisions, and why has iTunes selected to regress rather than progress?  Such a pitty.
