What happened to music from Shooting Star

When I first started using Spotify, the album "Hang on for your life" by Shooting Star was on the system, but now there isn't anything from this band on the system.  How do you request to see if music from this group could be added to the system.  I was thrilled when RTZ showed up, so hopefully this can happen too

The reason is that the artist or their music label has likely decided to remove it from Spotify.
The availability of music on Spotify is up to the artist and their music label.
Spotify wants all the world's music, and they're working hard on making this happen for you. However sometimes agreements can't be reached with the artist or label or a change may happen in music ownership. Sometimes the music is only available in certain countries, while access is blocked to others. Sometimes the album or song will be unavailable temporary, and come back again later.
Spotify adds thousands of albums and artists are added every day. If you can't find an artist you're looking for, they may appear (or reappear if removed) soon. In the meantime, feel free to contact the artist or their label to ask when they plan to be on Spotify.

What happened to Slideshows from the finder? Now yo have to hold down option to switch from Quickview to Slideshow in the Finder menu-- and then in the slideshow itself, it doesn't fade from picture to picture like it used to. Anyone else notice this? It just jumps to the next pic with no transition.

  • What happened to music/playlists

I just did a restore from a back up. All of my apps, pictures, contacts, etc restored except my music! What happened to it? Please help!!!

    Correct.
When syncing music, your selected playlists, genres, and artists under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes would be pre-selected when restoring your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup. When restoring as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, all you need to do is reselect the playlists, artists, genres under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes followed by a sync to re-transfer your selected content, which is the same for all other selections under the various tabs for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes. The reason all your apps were re-transferred automatically after restoring your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup is because you have Sync Apps selected under the Apps tab for your iPhone sync preferences.
When manually managing music and videos, you must manually select the music and videos you want re-transferred to your iPhone after restoring your iPhone with iTunes.
Since the iPhone doesn't support disk mode as with most iPods which doesn't allow for transferring selected iTunes content to the iPhone from an iTunes library on multiple computers, there isn't much benefit to manually managing music and videos with an iPhone.

  • Cloning Hdd to SSD boot drive and what happens with Music/Logic Plugins

Hi, my computer is a mid-2012 Mac Pro 12 Core
It's a great computer but I'm considering upgrading my main boot drive (WD Caviar Black 1TB HDD) to a 1tB Samsung EVO 840 SSD drive (I'm using a sonnet tempo PCI card to mount an SSD that holds audio at the moment and will add another SSD for the boot drive I'm referring to) so I just had a question - if I clone the HDD to the new SSD, what happens with things like licenses for my audio plugins, such as Native Instruments Komplete, programs by IKMultemedia. programs that use an ILOK such as Steven Slate Plugins and also, WAVES plugins?  Will this info all carry across to the new SSD drive or do you think I'll need to reauthorise some things?  I have all the serials etc so this shouldn't be an issue, but just wondered.
Any help would be appreciated as it feels like quite a big step in that it's my main system drive!
    Thanks in advance
    Sam

CCC is excellent. If it doesn't work then sure, just always have a safety net of your system that is untouched.
Also, after a clean install, CLONE it!
And then use Setup Assistant. Migration Assistant.
Clone of the system can go on sparse disk images too so you don't have to partition (should have at least one though) and you can have clone from different stages and versions: 10.9.4, without Setup Assistant, migrated, full loaded with all your apps. Multiple versions.
CCC is designed to make a working bootable copy of a system so you can move the system to another boot device like hdd and SSDs without the worry.
But I think we were talking about a system that did not see a clean install of Mountain Lion or Mavericks so it is over due for one!

  • What happens to music that get lost from iPod

I try to sync my brothers music to my Mac pro and lost his music. Can I get it back?

I am having the same problem. My daughter just tried to send me a vCard from her LG Vu (I think), twice, and I never received it. Do I need MobileMe or some other app in order to send and receive vCards??
Please help - I used to be able to send and receive on my Sony Ericcson phone but would love to do this on my iPhone - would be very handy! Thanks!

  • What Happens to music when you re-install ipod on pc?

I have a 20G ipod with 2,000 songs on, none of which are on my pc. My ipod no longer appears in itunes, so i am going to re-install it with the disk i got when i first bought the ipod. However, i dont know what will happen to my music, will it be deleted? Anyone re-installed an ipod with the disk, and had music on the ipod? If so, does it remain or get deleted?
    Thanks

If you RESTORE your iPod you will delete all the music on it. I'd try everything else first. If you can get your computer to talk to your iPod the first thing I'd do is back up my music!

  • What happened to Music Videos?

This has not been updated much lately. Oh - the nano commercial is the latest. Wow. Even what has been updated is mostly country - yuck. Where is all the good current top 40 videos? I would much rather watch them in iTunes than go to other sites.

    Question guys...
Are the music videos all purchase option only? I mean before Ipod Video, there was free but old music videos to watch. Now I cannot find the link anywhere? Does this mean APPLE has taken them off and you can only buy vids? Any help would be greatly apreciated. Thanks a million.

  • What happened to posts from Kenichi Watanabe ?

All of sudden, posts from Kenichi Watanabe have disappeared.
Not every post, just some of his most recent.
    Weird and annoying.

  • Once I block a telephone number, what happens when someone from that number calls?

Do they get a message saying I am not accepting calls from that number?  Does my phone still ring?  I have used the option to block calls from restricted/private/unknown numbers as well as rejecting individual numbers.

Wonderful question! I want to ensure that you're provided with the correct verbiage. Are you using the call and message block available through My Verizon? If so, the verbiage states as follow "Welcome to Verizon Wireless. The number you were trying to reach has calling restrictions which has prevented the completion of your call."

  • What happened to music autofill? Can't select space for music

Recently updated to itunes 10 and see that the autofill settings have been removed. If you use autofill it uses up all available space or nothing. Does anyone know if this function has moved somewhere else? The itunes help still shows it the way it used to be so that is of no help.
Why would apple remove such a useful feature?

I thought I had the same problem. When you connect your ipod, you need to ensure that the 'manage music manually' box is ticked on the summary page. This should then enable you to use autofill. Uncharacteristically complicated for Apple given that I wouldn't have thought that autofill would come under something manually managed...
    I hope that this helps.

  • Restoring from iCloud backup - what happens to non-iTunes music?

iPhone4, iOS5 and want to restore from an iCloud backup.  Wondering what happens when music not purchased on iTunes (95% of my collection), when I restore from that backup?  I'm thinking it will all be gone and I will have to go through the painful process of re-selecting all artists\songs I want on the phone in addition to re-creating my playlists.
Can anyone confirm what happens in this scenario?
    Thanks!

    Hello there, gleab.
The following Knowledge Base article reviews the ways to import content into iTunes:
Adding music and other content to iTunes
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1473
Also keep in mind which formats can be added:
You can add audio files that are in AAC, MP3, WAV, AIFF, Apple Lossless, or Audible.com (.aa) format. If you have unprotected WMA content, iTunes for Windows can convert these files to one of these formats.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

I have an iPhone 4.  I would like to transfer music from my HP computer to the phone.  The music appears on my iTunes page on the computer but I cannot figure out how to transfer it to the phone.  I'd also like to transfer the phone numbers on my phone to my computer (so I can keep them on my backup drive in case something happens to the phone).  When I connect the computer and the phone, it says it's 'syncing' but I certainly can't figure out what's being 'synced'.  The only thing I've ever been able to transfer at all are photos from the phone to the computer.  If I must upgrade my phone system to 6.1 to do thi, I am reluctant to try that because it says I must save things or they will be lost (e.g. music I've purchased, phone directory, etc) - which I have no clue how to do.  My nearest Apple store can only be reached by plane (in Honolulu).  Thanks for any help.
