What happened to my calendar entries?

I input some events in my calendar on my iPad 1 yesterday. They synced with my iPhone with no issues. I look at my calendar today and these entries are completely gone. Strangely, they are still on my iPhone. This is the second time in two weeks this has happened to me.
Any idea why? My calendar is very important for work so I can't have things disappearing like this.
Any help is appreciated

Aside from providing ryan with the information that may be helpful for other suggestions, you can try to restart your iPad - especially if you don't restart on a regular basis - it may not help recover your calendar entries -  but it certainly will not hurt and it may help for any little funky things that may arise in the future.
When things don't work as expected ... Two things you can always try first ...
Restart your iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and slide to shut down. Hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears to start up.
Reset your iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time - for about 10 seconds - until the Apple logo appears - ignore the red slider.

  • Boooo: What happened to iCal calendar sharing in Leopard?

As much as a year out from the release of Leopard Apple was touting the iCal calendar sharing. WHAT HAPPENED?!
It was the only real reason I was excited about Leopard. Our whole family was looking forward to sharing one family calendar that everyone had rights to post to and everyone would be in sync.
Am I wrong, or is it vaporware?

At the moment, being detached from your subnet and using Mac OS X 10.5 or later is problematic. SyncTogether, for example, does not work with Leopard configurations.
There are other approaches you can take, including using Plaxo, or using Google calendars mated with SpanningSync to share calendar data. All of these have their relative strengths and weaknesses, or limitations. A requirement to be on the same subnet is the limitation of BusySync.

  • What happened to all the entries in the "Contacts and Calendars" section?

Suddenly all I see are about 30 topics, 76 messages on only two pages of messages.
Looks like most of them are in the "Mail" section, including the ones that are specifically about syncing contacts and calendars.
    Very confusing...

Yep - Apple has screwed the wish lists up - when I sent a help message I got a stock reply  "I realize how concerned you must be, and I certainly understand the urgency in resolving this immediately. Apple is aware of the issue and currently working toward a resolution for the issue you have reported. You will receive an email after the matter has been investigated and further information is available. Thank you for your patience. Apple wants your iTunes experience to be as enjoyable as possible.
No, Apple does not really want my experience to be enjoyable or it would have added useful, basic functions to iTunes over the years instead of stripping them away or ignoring the needs of people who have large music collections - turning the wish list into a sliding sideways scrolly thing is terrible design. If they keep dumbing it down as they are, soon the iTunes interface will just be a big red button that says "Listen to new Taylor Swift album" and sadly Apple is doing this with their OS as well - simplify, design it for use on a phone, and to **** with the desktop users who have more complicated needs.

  • What happened to the calendar with the new version of i07.0.3?

What in the heck happened with the most recent i07.0.3 rollout?   The calendar is so user un-friendly.    There is no longer a list functionality.    In order to see what appointments you have on a day you have to scroll through all 24 hours of the day instead of receiving a summary below the date.    Additionally the weekly view no longer has a dot underneath the date to signify already scheduled appts.
I cannot believe this got out of testing.  Utterly unrealistic to expect people to scroll through 24 hours through a 7 day week to find appointments.    Does any one know if there are any fixes on the way?   If not, makes no sense to dump money into an iphone 5S.....
    Thanks.   Bill

I don't think this was a 7.0.3 change, but a 7.0 change.  Hit the search magnifying glass to get the list view.

  • What happened to the calendar in iPhoto?

I'm referring to the little calendar in the lower left of the window that allowed you to filter on a particular year, month, day... or see what days had photos taken on them... etc.
It was VERY useful, and now it appears to be GONE.
    Does anyone know?

Ah, that took me a little while to figure out, too. It has been integrated into the search box at the bottom of the window. Click on the magnifying glass, and select "Date" from the popup. That will bring the calendar back.

  • Join process. what happens when one CV entry is deleted?

We have 2 CVs feeding one MV.
One CV (a HR system) creates the MV entry and provides most data.
The other CV (an email system) joins to the MV entry on matching name and flows the email address.
Now, what is Meta designed to do if the CV entry containing the email address (joined to the MV) is deleted from source?
In no circumstances should the MV entry be removed
unless the (HR system) CV entry is deleted.

    Hi.
Assuming you're serializing your object graph using ObjectOutputStream, the object that is referred to multiple times will only be serialized once. When deserialized (using ObjectInputStream) that object will only be deserialized once and all appropriate references will be to that object. This seems sensible.
Take a look at http://java.sun.com/products/jdk/serialization/faq/#handle for an interesting side effect of this - the rest of the faq is interesting too.
    Hope this helps.

  • HT201394 What happened to my calendar?

The calendar on my iPhone 5s, updated to iOS 8, no longer has any events. All the calendars are checked, but no events show up. Thankfully, they still exist on my computer. What else is going to go wrong?

    thanks ---- I got it!

  • What happened to my calendar?

As of today all of my events are missing for this month and the follwoing. All events are present for November and earlier but none for December and forward.

Were your appointments stored only on your phone?  Or do you have them on a PC/Web calendar too?
I've found the best way to always keep my calendar in sync no matter how many times I change phones is to use Google Calendar for everything and then sync it with my phone.  That way when I add something on my phone I choose Google Calendar and it gets added to my Google Calendar and when I add or change something on my Google Calendar it gets automatically changed on my phone.  You can even have multiple Google Calendars and have them all sync to your phone.  I have separate calendars for regular stuff, doctor appointments, birthdays, etc.  Each shows up as a different color and makes it easy to keep important stuff noticed.

  • LYNC 2013, Exchange 2013 / OWA presence not updating from calendar entries

Have a test environment of LYNC 2013 and EXCHANGE 2013.
No software clients - pure OWA access.
IM works within OWA and I can manually set availability which is seen correctly by other users.  What does not happen is any calendar entries - they do not update the presence status (ie. does not go to busy when in a meeting ).
I did install Lync client 2013 and that did work ( and updated OWA ) - but I want a pure web environment without the need for additional software based clients.
Can this work?  If so is there anything that can be checked to see where the issue is?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Maybe it's my misunderstanding. Did you mean you don’t want additional software based clients (including Lync client 2013)?
If you don’t install a Lync client on user workstations, you cannot see presence of Lync users from OWA.
What’s more, for Lync side, if you do not install Lync client software the only way to use Lync is Lync Web App (a browser-based meeting client). Lync Web App only support to join Lync Meetings. However, Lync meeting cannot schedule by Lync Web App and OWA.
Here is a link about Lync Web App may help you:
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-in/lync-help/what-is-lync-web-app-HA103699740.aspx
If you want to create Lync Meetings but don’t have Microsoft Outlook you can use Lync Web Scheduler (a web-based program)

  • What happened to "list" feature in calendar on iPhone 5 when I got upgrade to ios7

What happened to 'list' feature on iPhone 5 calendar when I downloaded IOS7

They changed it slightly. To access the closest you will get to the list view from the older iOS is to go to the magnifying glass in the upper right portion of the calendar screen. You cannot add appointments from this view however.

n mountain lion calendar, the alerts on give you a "close" or "snooze" options.  What happen to being able to select how long you wanted to snooze your alert?

SnoozeMaster is now avaiable from the Mac App Store, for MacOS X 10.8 and up.
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/snoozemaster/id614955483?mt=12
It addresses this exact issue. You'll be able to configure different pre-set snooze times, enter custom snooze times when an alarm triggers, etc. It's what snoozing should've been from the get go.
