What happened to my gift card credit?

I know how to review my purchase history in my iTunes account. But, how do I find out what happened to a gift card credit? Per my my account's purchase history, I only used $10 of a $50 gift card (assuming the culprit is NOT user error, e.g., I redeemed on the incorrect account). Can I search "payment history" in addition to purchase history? Thanks.

I am currently in 'discussion' with iTunes about this very issue. It's happened to me at least twice before when I redeemed a Gift card and didn't use the full amount. A couple of weeks later... the 'credit' was gone!
I also question as to why iTunes do NOT show gift card redemptions... VERY sus imho!!! Why dont they??!!
I have asked iTunes to provide me with a list of all my transactions for this year so I can see when, where and how my credits were used. So far the best I got was "check your account balance". They have said they will look into it from another side (ie. not via their customer support) but I will give them a week before I go to Fair Trading and make a formal complaint.
I have provided them screen shots, dates, my purchase history etc. and the numbers just dont add up. Either my credit balance expired (in the space of a couple of weeks) or someone is skimming accounts - which is on the iTunes system. Either way iTunes have a case to answer!

Redeemed gift card credit disappeared

Hi!
Some time last summer I redeemed a gift card and the credit appeared both in Itunes and APP store, fine.
I didn't buy anything until recently a small application. At that moment, I didn't see my credit anywhere but I tried to buy anyways.
The price for the app was finally charged to my credit card instead of from my gift card credit, which doesn't appear anywhere.
I try to look for it, but I can find what happened with my credit. I try to re-redeem the credit but I get a nitice saying that the card has been already redeemed.
Yes, I did redeem it, but I haven't spent the money.
So where is it? What can I do?

How do I set up an Apple ID for a chld with a gift card credit, without credit card details and without using my own account?

Go to the main iTunes Store page (within iTunes), click on the "Redeem" link on the right side of the page, click "Create Apple ID", and enter in the code from your card when requested. You should be able to create an iTunes Store account for your child without needing a credit card. You'll just need an email address for him/her to create the ID, though it can be a "temporary" one that you don't intend to really be used. You can change the email address to which receipts are sent to an account you really wish to use.

I think you can just go online and pay your bill with the gift card/credit card prior to your due date or the date the automatic payment comes out. The remaining balance, if any, will then be taken out for the automatic payment.

They are not available in all countries and they are country-specific - they can only be redeemed and used in their country of issue. If they are available in your country then you might be able to get them from Apple, or from electrical stores, supermarkets, online retailers etc. The field on the screen when creating an account is optional, and if gift cards aren't available in your country then you won't be able to fill it in anyway.

I'm 100% positive that I had at least $20 of gift card credit on my itunes account, prior to adding and additional gift card of $25. As I'm looking at my account, it doesn't seem I have any credit. My recent purchase, in fact, came off my credit card rather than the balance of the gift cards. HELP!

My assumption is because you aren't setting the account properly. You can't set up an Apple ID and then try to use it without a credit card unless you follow a very specific procedure which you obviously did not do.
You have to try to download a free app first - before you set up the ID - and then create the ID from the prompts. You set the ID up first and it doesn't work that way. You will have to either enter a credit card now and then delete it later, or start all over again with a new ID. If you start all over again, you have to sign out of the current ID in Settings>Store - tap your ID and sign out. You will also need another email address because you already associated your email address with the first ID.

As I said, this is my assumption, if there is something else going on here, post back with something more detailed other than "why is Apple requiring ...." We can't possibly know why you can't do without some more information to go on.

A while back I got me a iTunes gift card, and I purchased some albums with the credit with no problems. Now I have about $6 left on it, and I want to buy one album that costs $9.99. Is there a way to charge the remaining gift card credit to the purchase and pay the remainder with a regular CC? I've played around with the account settings, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do this.

You shouldn't have to do anything special at all, assuming your credit card information is valid. Just buy the album; the iTunes Store should automatically pull the remaining balance from your gift card and charge the rest of the price of your album to your credit card. That's the way it's always worked for me.

What happened to the "gift" with the 100ME cards?

Does anybody know what happened with the special "gift" that was initially advertised to be packaged with the 100ME cards? I purchased the GTX 970 Gaming 100ME from Newegg a few weeks ago, and there's nothing that fits that description in the box. Now it looks like the MSI product page has removed any mention of the gift as well. It's just a bit weird...

It seems it has been a limited offer and might also not been offered in all local markets. If the shop didn't list a gift being part of the package there simply is none.

Why will itunes not debit my gift card credit?

I've got a $25 credit indicated next to my username, yet when I click to purchase, the only option I have is to authorize my credit card or enter a new gift card. This has worked for me before, so I cannot figure out what is wrong.
