What happened to my google search space?

My Google search has suddenly disappeared.  What happened to it and how do I get it back?

Click on the view menu at the top of the screen (between history and edit)
View>Customize Toolbar>
Then drag google to where you want it.
I hope this helped!!

What happened to the power search in itunes?

Why? Indeed, is a very good question. Why take the most useful tool for finding music and bury it (in the case of version 10) or eliminate it (if you upgrade to version 11).   I think ignorance is too generous an answer to this question.
Rather, I believe this is a cynical marketing ploy to steer you into buying WHAT THEY SUGGEST, instead of WHAT YOU REALLY WANT.  Most vendors would be content to just advertise their suggestions, which you can pass by if you really know what you want. But for I-Tunes to willfully take away your ability to go directly to what you want is a sad insult to the buying public.
Also, they probably feel that power search is too effective in revealing what I-Tunes DOESN'T have available.
By all means, follow the advice given above - provide I-Tunes with the feedback that is sorely due.

you haven't lost anything, it's virtually impossible to delete your Zotero library by accident.
You may just need to show your add-on bar (View --> Toolbars ---> Add on Bar).
To check if Zotero is disabled, go to Tools--> Add-ons --> Extensions.
Make sure to check for Zotero updates, you may need the newest version (2.1.10) for FF6 compatibility.
As a general piece of advice, if technical problems make you frantic, don't perform major software upgrades in the middle of a project. Also, support for Zotero is better on the Zotero forums than here.

In iTunes 11, the Power Search option in the iTunes Store has been removed. If you want to tell Apple how you feel about the removal of the Power Search feature, you can use the iTunes Feedback page:

What happened to the keyboard search function on the remote app? Was the only thing that really made it useful.

I am having the same issue. I can see a dimmed keyboard icon on the top right of screen, but cannot access the keyboard to enter information for Apple TV 2. Is anyone else having the same issue and are there any solutions to fix the problem?

The size of the pictures themselves is only part of the story...Photos also prepares indexes of the pictures, thumbnails and further file information that take up, sometimes, as much or more space than the photos.
Other things like email, messages, tunes, cache information, browser history information, and so on take space.

  • Missing address and google search space

    Hi, all -
Well, I must have hit a strange key combo. I have lost the address and google search "buttons" on the safari address bar. Safari works, I just can't navigate to non-bookmarked areas.
What's the simplest solution? I tried downloading a new safari, and it says I don't have the right OS, but my OS is newer than what is required. I found "com.apple.safari.plist" and got it on my desktop, but couldn't make anything happen, and now I don't know where to go to put it back where it belongs.
    Thanks for your patience.

    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Choose: Safari>View>Customize Address Bar...>Drag your favorite item into the toolbar...(Address and Search) to regain the use of these two items.

  • What happened to my Google home page with weather, etc in Firefox 4?

I set up a Google homepage with weather, news link, translator, etc and Firefox 4 install has wiped it out. I just get standard Google as my home page. What happened? Do I have to go back and request everything again?

Same issue here. Seems that all cache and cookies were wiped out with the update. Being a software engineer myself, I have to say, it's generally considered '''''very''''' poor practice for software updates to wipe out user data. It's very surprising that this would happen with Mozilla.
Unfortunately, I'm trying to get everything back to how it was for an elderly family member, and she has no clue how she got it set up to begin with. I'm pretty sure that she didn't have an iGoogle account?

  • What happended to my google search-I now have twitter-what goes

my google search window says twitter and every time i type something in the search window i get twitter stuff. I don't know why this started happening. I've been looking for a job and I can't get to my registered accounts because when I type them in the search window it always goes to twitter. How can I get rid of twitter and get back to my old google search window?

    Hello,
It sounds like Your search bar, the bar to the right of your address bar, is set to Twitter. If you click on the icon or the down triangle, you can change the provider back to Google. Please see the article [[Search bar - add, change and manage search engines on Firefox]] for more information.

  • What addon makes my google search results only visible in about a quarter of my screen?

When I use google search my results are confined to a small pane on the left side of my screen. The remaining three-fourths of my screen is just black. I just want to be able to see all my results in a full-size page.

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode? <br />

  • What happened to my hard drive space?

I installed a new Hitachi 80 gig drive into a PowerMac G4/500 256/ 27gb/ DVD-RAM/ Zip Graphite. Profiler read 74 GB. Fine. During a large file write, the power went out. On rebooting the Mac later, no hard drive. I ran DiskWarrior 3.03 on the drive and it came back onto the desktop. However, Profiler (and Disk Utility) no report the drive as being only 31.5 GB in capacity. I checked the drive using WhatSize and found no hidden files. I erased the drive using DiskUtility and have a drive reportedly clear of any and all files, but still claiming to be only 31.5 GB. In the old days, I would next have tried a low-level drive reformat but I'm told we don't do that anymore. What do we do? I am at a loss, here.

Version 3.0.3 is compatible with Tiger, so it shouldn't have done any harm, and I've never had Disk Warrior do anything like this to me (which is not to say it can't happen).
Have you tried resetting the jumpers?
If that doesn't work, do you have access to a PC? If you could put the drive in a PC as a slave, you could reformat it there, then bring it back to your Mac and try Disk Utility again. I've had some success with this method in the past.

  • Time Machine with OSX Server; what happened to the free disk space?

    Hello all,
I am trying to do something that should be pretty simple. I have an iMac, with Mountain Lion and Server installed. My wife has a Mac Air. The goal was to get her to Time Machine backup through the wifi to my external hardrive. I think it is working, but here is the small catch. Last night, while getting it all going, it was saying "making buckup disk ready" through the night until now. Now it is actually doing the backup normally, i.e. I can see the data transferring. BUT, here is the question, in the mean time the external hardrive lost about 300gb of space which is the size of MY iMac backup. So I hope that when I turned on Time Machine it dosnt back up one time as my computer and another as a server. That may not make any sence at all.
Here is a screen shot of my external hardrive:
636.33 GB, before yesterday it was half that. But my wife's hardrive is 100 GB of Data.
Just a note, I had my hardrive wiped clean the other day before Mountain Lion was installed, and I have a "carbon copy" from before that on another hardrive. Can I delete the backup of MY machine and start over?
Thanks, I hope this is clear.
    Best,
    Justin

  • WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GOOGLE TOOLBAR?

It is no longer available. It had a lot of tools that I used and I need it back please. I don't know Yahoo and I knew Google. Sorry, but I'm just a little miffed. I have tried to bring up in the View link but it is no longer there.
''moderator removed the superfluous punctuation marks in the title of this thread''

You are welcome. The question about the Google toolbar has been posted in this forum many, many times over the last few weeks. Sorry if my reply seemed a little "short".

  • What happened to the (thorough) search feature?

It no longer functions properly; I don't know how it worked under Leopard since I only used that for about a week before going to SL, but it functioned well under Tiger.
As an example, I indicated in the Spotlight Preferences that I did not want it to search Mail Messages, Contacts, Events, Images, etc, etc (the only things marked are Applications, System Prefs, Documents, and Folders). There is no option to select hard drive, system, etc.
In the resulting window, it also doesn't seem to matter if I choose to search "this mac" or "macintosh HD" or "contents" or "file name" - it just doesn't do a real search.
I searched for one of my third party applications by the developer's name (which is used in their preference file). The only things I got were the applications (there are several) and a slew of Mail messages (which I didn't want). Unlike Tiger, it did not show anything under Library/Application Support or Preferences and I know there are files/folders in both.
When I search, I usually do it because I need to uninstall and want to make sure I removed all the files - I do not care to see meaningless results in Movies, Fonts, Music, etc. But I do need to see where all the files are.
Unless there is a way I can get a fully functioning search function back, I'm about ready to abort Snow Leopard; I'm already annoyed enough about having to control click on all of my folders in the dock just to open them in list view. That's why I never used Leopard - I thought they would have included an option to do so by now.....but that's a topic for another thread.

Thanks for all the input - will try to address all:
Even if Spotlight is instantaneous, it is of no help if it only does a cursory, superficial, and therefore totally useless search. Apple had it right in Tiger, so there is no logical reason to drop it (except to dumbify it). I will send some feedback on this.
I had tried a search in Finder, but obviously did not see the drop down menus (probably because I was not expecting them). Anyway, I repeated my same search after following V.K.'s instructions and, voila, all of them showed up. But - again - in Tiger I just opened a finder window and typed the name in the search field and it worked; now I have to set certain parameters first. Annoying. But, thanks to you, at least I can get it to work ...

  • What happened to all my HD space?

Yesterday I had like 54GBs of available storage and today I have 32GBs. Is there a way to check to see what is using what?
