What happened to numbered scale on levels panel?

With the latest CC update to Photoshop I no longer have a numbered scale below the levels graph on the levels panel when using the levels slider to indicate how much change I made in the levels for a particular image. Am I missing something? How can I get the numbered scale back?

More specifically, the new Discussion software doesn't have the ability to have custom avatars, but they have added it to their to-do list. No word on when they hope to have it implemented.

Lack of options in iCloud control panel compared to MobileMe Control panel, so now what happens if there is a conflict of data (Cloud vs Computer)?

Back then when we were syncing with MobileME, the control panel allows us to decide what to do when there is a conflit of data in the cloud vs the information on our computer. We were given the option of Replacing information in Me with information on the computer or vice versa, but now we do not have any of these options. And currently when i sync my computer with icloud, i dont know if the information (Contacts, Bookmarks) will be replaced with the current informaiton on the iCloud (transfered from MobileMe) or they will merge (if they merge then i would have double of contacts,bookmarks??) or the information in the iCloud would be replaced?
If we had more options in the control panel of iCloud, then things can be simplier. However, with the current iCloud control panel, we have no way of knowing what happens when there is a conflict and we won't know what action the iCloud would take for the conflict of information.
So currently i still dont know if my Favourites (Bookmarks) will be replaced or not.
Does anyone know if we can wipe out the info on iCloud and replace it with the data (Contacts, bookmark, calendars etc) on our computer?

This is what I did...not ideal but seems to work for right now till iCloud actually syncs contacts into Outlook 2010 (PC/Win 7) like Mobile Me used to. I opened the contacts in the iCloud contact address boxes in Outlook. I selected all contacts by selecting one and then Ctrl-A (selects all), then Ctrl-C (copies all). Then I went into the Outlook Contact folder which is blank from iCloud "stealing" all my contacts and in that empty box I hit Ctrl-V to past all contacts in. I am now able to use my contacts when emailing in Outlook.
Of course, any changes I make to my iPhone contact list or via iCloud will only sync back to the iCloud contacts lists in Outlook (and not Outlook's main calendar) so occassionally I'm thinking I'll need to go back and do this all again either figuring out a way to only copy new contacts over, or going into Outlook Contacts and deleting all of those, going back to Outlook iCloud contacts (which are syncing but not communicating with other aspects of Outlook like mail) and then do the process all over (select all, copy, paste).
Seems silly that contacts can't work the same as they did with Mobile Me but it seems like Apple has a tendancy with everything but their actual iDevices to be screwy when things are working and make things more complicated. I was not looking towards this day as I knew there would be some stupid issue as it seems like it always is that way with their new software rollouts. In fact, I use Outlook 2010 through Parrells still cause their Mac version still won't sync even calendars...at least iCloud is still doing that with Outlook 2010 Windows...though still the same issue as Mobile Me that it doesn't sync with the main calendar...but I can still use it and sync well to the iPhone.

Apple introduced Auto Saving in Lion along with Versions and removed Save As from the menu.
Menu > File > Duplicate > Save the duplicate with new name
does much the same thing as Save as.

The PWR MGMT LED on the front panel of the standby sup720 is off (But the active engine is on). We check the switch guide which states "The SYSTEM and PWR MGMT LEDs on a redundant supervisor engine or RSP are synchronized to the active module.". What happen with this? Thanks!

Issues with Dunning: what happens after level 3 of 3 ?

We have set up 3 dunning levels. That works fine as I could test this because we had some invoices that have moved from 1 to 2 and to 3. The letters for level 3 has been printed and the GP data has been updated. The level 3 is shown and the history shows it as well. Looks like perfect.
However, now the problem starts. These invoices are still unpaid. What happened to them regarding dunning? If I run the dunning wizard again, all formerly level 3 invoices are not in there anymore.
How do I handle this to not forget these open invoices?

Dunning will only help you on the AR aging process. Nothing can replace other processes to collect the payments. As the scenario you are given, you have to keep your original process. Any open invoice during the dunning period should be handled by manual process or wait until another.

Do you mean Numbers for the Mac or Numbers for iOS?
If you bought Numbers for the Mac in April 2013 then you can still use it, and also download the new version for free.
If you bought Numbers for iOS in April 2013 then you can update it to the latest Numbers for iOS.
But Numbers for the Mac and Numbers for iOS are two different apps that need to be purchased separately.
They do come free with new iOS devices and Macs.

Are you just typing ordinary text into a word processing document or are you trying to set a password on the document itself?
If it is the first perhaps Pages is trying to spell check the password. You can tell it to ignore that "word", or turn spellchecking off.

Scale Object with Panel, but what about inside a Tab control?

The Scale Object with Panel option works very well for simple UI
objects. I like to use it for VIs that display tables or
multicolumn listboxes, etc. I am finding a limitation when I use
the Tab control. If I have a table or listbox in each tab, I
would like them to scale with the panel. I would also like the
tab to scale. It should look like an Excel workbook where all
sheets scale with the window even though they are each on their own
tab. If I could only Group the various tables / lists with the
Tab itself....
This wouldn't be such an issue if the Bounds property of the
multicolumn listbox was writable. I can set the number of rows
and columns, but column size can be variable and not uniform across all
columns. Also, that solution looks and behaves much different
from the Scale Object with Panel approach.... not to mention the extra
coding required.
I'm guessing that this amounts to a feature request, but if anyone has a present-version workaround, I'd love to hear about it.

My problem is that i cannot select "Scale object with pane" for the controls inside a Tab control if the Tab control "Scale object with pane" is turned on. I want both the Tab control and the controls inside to be scaled, for instance an Waveform graph or an textbox when i resize my main window.

What happens to the rendered animated buttons on sub-menus

I am on a 3GB of memory MacBook Pro using Encore (CS3). Here is a description of how I have produced a working DVD...so far 3 out of 5 DVDs I have tried to render have worked.
ANYWAY...seems that Encore implodes when I try to render the same project more than one at a time. Encore chokes and I am back in the MAC OS.
HERE is my main question...every time it blows it seems to blow away the RENDERED ANIMATED BUTTONS on the secondary menu. SO each time I try this again I have to re-render the buttons taking about 1.5 hours. Why do I have to re-render...why aren't the rendered 2nd level menus SAVED.
To make it clear...after I rendered the menus...previewed...saw the buttons are animated...SAVED...try to write a DVD Disc from the Current Project...succeed...try to burn another DVD...it aborts (why...I have no idea)...I empty trash...bring up Encore again...try to preview the secondary menu...NO ANIMATION there so have to rerender and start all over.
I have been reading about compatibility of DVD disc, computer players and DVD players...what a PILE...without all the techies our there we can't make a dependable environment to create, burn and play DVDs...these companies should be ashamed...all they are doing is producing a whole bunch of frustrated producers (or lack of producing producers).
Can anyone shed a light on my problem!?!?

A couple of questions, mainly to make sure that I understand what is happening.
1.) There are two files (an audio and a MOV), that show in the Orphanage, when you Check Project. Do they appear there BEFORE you Check Project, or only AFTER?
2.) Do they appear BEFORE in your Project Panel, or only AFTER you Check Project?
3.) Since they are Orphans, I assume that you do not intend to use them in this Project - right? Were they ever in the Project (Imported as Assets, or Timelines)?
4.) Was this Project started fresh, or did you modify an existing Project, to create it, say using a Save_As, etc.?
5.) If they were not Imported into this Project, were they Imported into another Project, that is/was being worked on coincidental to this one?
6.) Can you find these files on your system? Where are they located?
If 1.) is After and 2.) is After, then your Project might be corrupt. The Assets/Timelines/etc. are linked to the Project by XML. This can become corrupt for many reasons, most are often unknown - power dip, or hardware issue on Save, etc..
Two ways to check this theory, is to start the Project from scratch, and see what happens. Another is to use a freeware program, XML Wrench, and run the Project file through it. Aside from pointing out broken links, and other problems, it should also allow you to search for these files names in the body. Save a copy of the Project file, so you will have it untouched, and then remove any lines, that reference these files. Save_As (new Project name) and open that in Encore. Being on MAC, doesnt every data file have a finder file, associated with it? Could this finder file be cross-linked, in some way, to your real Assets?
It could be that there is a hardware issue, and this causes the links to the Rendered files to become broken, and also to link to files, that should not be included. Any other strange things with your system lately? I do not know the MAC folder/file structure, but can you do the equivalent of Windows Check Disk? If so, set it to find lost clusters, or whatever MAC calls them.
Also, being on PC, I do not know what utilities might be available for your OS, or what other programs might be causing a problem. On PCs, other DVD burning software, especially if their packet-writing applet is installed, can cause havoc with Encore and are discouraged. Anything else installed, and/or running, that you can think of?
Sorry to play twenty questions, but Id like to be as clear, as I can, on exactly what is happening, before I make too many more guesses.

After upgrading to nw ep 7.1, which looks like this.

What happened to the file numbers after switching to Photos. It would be nice to still have the file numbers show.
You mean, the filename with the number on the card?
Photos does not use the filenames as a title, when displaying the thumbnails. The filename will only show in the Info panel.
Copy the filenames to the title field in the Info panel and then enable "Metadata" in the View menu.
I wrote a script to copy the filenames automatically to the title field, see:

Oracle GoldenGatge keeps track of the details of the transactions that are replicated by two methods.
1. Firstly and always GoldenGate writes to a checkpoint file which resides in the DIRCHK directory.If this Checkpoint File is lost or removed then GoldenGate loses track of your process.
2. Optionally, you can create a CHECKPOINTTABLE during the creation of the Replicat Process. This Checkpoint table can be specified Globally in the ./GLOBALS parameter or separate checkpoint tables can be created for each processes.
But Oracle highly recommends to create the Checkpoint table.
When replicat starts, it will compare the checkpoint file with the checkpoint table. This has been brought because, in the event of failure, the checkpoint file and checkpoint table are referred or read by these processes and it gets started from the point of failure avoiding the re-capture and re-apply of the transactions.
An another useful thing in using the Checkpoint table is, If you stop the Replicat process and flashback the target database and then start the replicat process again, you do not have to change or modify anything at the GoldenGate level. The Replicat process will just pick up as if you also flashed back the GoldenGate inspite of having all the trail files. This is because your Checkpoint Table will also get flashed back and the replicat process reads the checkpointtable and works accordingly.

Just upgraded to 5 from 3 - what happened to the page select icon? Can't find it in customize toolbars.

Used to be you could select which page you wished to go back or forward to from the arrow icons on the navigation toolbar. The history menu item only shows 10 sites without having to open history for today. What happened? Is there another icon or a new plug in for this functionality? I used it all the time.

The back/forward buttons have been moved to right-hand side of the navigation bar and the drop-down was removed. User right-click or hold click for one second to see the tab history. This is item #5 in my list.
The History menu also has "Open Previous session" and "Open closed windows",
to see more history use the History sidebar ("Ctrl+H") or the History Library List ("Ctrl+Shift+H") and sort or view by "Last visited".
