What Happened to Other Two HDs?

I've installed three internal hard drives, but only the third appears on the desktop. What happened to the other two hard drives?

1. May 9, 2013, I bought a G4 QuickSilver Mac with only one hard drive on ebay. Main Disk was named   "WD1200 Boot Drive." Worked great.
2. May 13, 2013, I installed a second hard drive to the one mentioned above, and named it "2nd Maxtor Boot Drive." Worked great.
3. May 21, 2013, I installed a third hard drive, and name it "3rd Hitachi Boot Drive." Worked great.
4. May 21, 2013, after I installed "3rd Hitachi Boot Drive," and used it as the "Startup Disk," I copied all of my external hard disk data (named "Mac Companion") to "3rd Hitachi Boot Drive."
   a.) I then began moving to trash/deleting the data from "Mac Companion."
   b.) Because data being trashed/deleted from "Mac Companion" was taking so long, I quit the procedure by just pulling the plug on the Mac while it was still under the control of "3rd Hitachi Boot Drive."
   c.) I didn't "Shut Down" by the book.
The next morning, today, when I booted up, the only hard drives showing were:
1.) 3rd Hitachi Boot Drive, and
2.) Mac Companion
The other two hard drives did not show up on the desktop; nor did they show up in the Utility folder.
All the drives were installed correctly.   All drives were functioning correctly. There were no problems until I "shut down incorrectly."
What should I do next?

This is a very vague question. If you have a MobileMe account and have been accessing them in the MobileMe online email pane, this facility is not available in iCloud; however you can perfectly well set them up in the Mail application on a Mac or an iPhone and check them that way.

What happens to other files on the TC when TM fills it up?

I don't seem to be able to find a definitive answer for this issue:
I am using TM to backup the iMac automatically. I have moved my iTunes music folder and associated library files to the TC so that I can access it from any computer in the house. I know that when the TM fills the TC it starts to delete old back-ups...will it leave the "other" folders (Ie music folder) alone or will it delete it?
Also, if iTM does leave the "other" folders alone and the TC is full what will happen when I try to add a folder to iTunes (Ie into the music folder on the TC)? Will it delete the oldest backup or will it tell me the drive is full?

What happens when RAIDing two external Iomega FW disks?

My problem: I am in the course of upgrading my internal MP disks to 2 x 750GB RAIDed to 1.5TB (for users only). For backup I have 2 external FW800 1TB Iomega Drives that are to be switched on independently. Can I (using disk util: software-) RAID-0 these two external drives (to give me 2TB storage) even if they are switched on subsequently? Does Leopard understand they are RAIDed?
AFAK the 1TB Iomegas are already internally RAIDed-0. Does this matter?

So if I understand correctly, the external drives are in reality, two 500GB drives in a RAID0 configuration? And you want to know if you can RAID0 two of these 1TB drives?
Not sure if it would work; even if it did, it would be a very, very, very bad idea. As Alan stated, RAID0 stripes your data, so a drive failure would result in loss of ALL your data. You should never, ever, backup data to a RAID0 array. If your 1TB externals are in fact really 2 500GB drives in a RAID0 array, I would not even use one of those 1TB drives as a backup.

What happens to Game Center if I have the same game on my iPad and my iPhone?

I have an iPhone and an iPad on the same Apple ID. I have a few games on my iPhone that I would like to play on my iPad too. I would like some information on what will happen to my Game Center profile if I download these games to my iPad too.
Will the game progression, achievements, and leaderboard position on my iPhone be synced with my iPad (so I could continue from where I left off on my iPhone)?
If the the answer to the question above is no:
Will the games recognize what achievements I have earned already?
Will the games recognize my leaderboard positions?
Will the progression on my iPhone be deleted and moved to my iPad?

What happens to the conversation when you delete or move a message?

I've always been a bit unclear what happens to other message in a thread/conversation when you delete or move the current message you are reading.
Therre are 3 relevant view settings it seems:
Organize by conversation (turned on).
Display selected message only (not selected - why would one want to select this if organizing by conversation? Is there a use for that?)
Show/Hide related messages (turned on so I can see replies I sent in the conversation).
If I want to move the current message I'm reading, it seems to move the entire conversation to the target folder. But that's not what I want to do.
Yet if I delete the current message I think it only deletes that one message.
I'm a bit confused about how to think of this. Sometimes I see messages show up under "related messages" that are a year old that I thought I long deleted.
Any easy way of thinking about how this is all working?

After using deauthorize all you need to authorize any computer that you wish to use to manage content on the device or unauthorized & protected content will be removed next time you make any changes to the content on the device.

Import from catalog: what happens to this catalog ?

I follow Scott Kelbys LR3 book for transferring my work from my studio laptop to my main processing computer in my office using the EXPORT TO CATALOG technique.
So then I transfer the folder to where I keep my LR pictures in MY COMPUTER. Then I IMPORT AS Catalog into LR.
QUESTION: What happens to the LRcat and LRdata file I imported afterwards? Are they copied or otherwise incorporated into my MAIN LRcat or is it safe to DELETE the imported LRCAT & LRDATA files because they are now part of the MAIN catalog?

I'm almost certain you can delete the catalog you imported from. But to be sure, you could create an exported catalog with one image in it, import it into your main catalog, then delete the one you imported from and see what happens.

HT1339 I have an ipod classic. I have approx. 2000 songs on it. WHen I move the settings to shuffle all music, the music stops in the middle of the song and moves on to the next one. It happens every other song or so.

Try playing the song again and if it does it in the same spot on both your ipod and itunes then you have a corrupted file. You need to re-download the song. Don't worry, this is free if you bought it on iTunes. First, verify that you did buy the song on iTunes and not anywhere else. Go to the iTunes store. On the right hand side of the window there is a column named quick links. Look for "Purchased" about 2/3 of the way down. Click on it. The next window that shows up should show you all the tunes you have bought. Find your tune and you'll see that is says "downloaded." Now you know you have the tune.
Now go back to your music library on the left hand column of the window. Click on Music. Find that tune that is giving you the problem. Delete the song.
Now go back to the iTunes store like before and go back to your "purchased" list. The page needs to be reloaded Press the back button and then click "purchased" again on iTunes so the list reloads. Find your tune again. Now instead of it saying "Downloaded," it has a picture of a cloud with an arrow pointing down. Click on it and the tune will download again with, I hope, no problems. I hope this helps.

The latest AE update reset most but not all my(so it was selective and intentional by Adobe) time consuming user preferences to default and I thought the cloud idea was to safeguard my previous preferences across systems and upgrades., which where also wiped. What happened?

Just your line that is ported gets the Early Termination Fee if you are still in contract.
If you keep the other lines active you are still responsible for them.

You should transfer all purchases to your computer. File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
You can redownload some purchases in some countries:

The computer on a trip will do snapshot backups on the hard drive that will then be incorporated into the Time Machine backup once you get it back home. See

Open the Terminal in the Utilities folder and enter or paste the appropriate command line. Press RETURN and enter your admin password when prompted. It will not be echoed.
To turn them ON: sudo tmutil enablelocal
To turn them OFF: sudo tmutil disablelocal
Note that turning them OFF will also delete all existing snapshots.

It was never completely clear whether it was just hidden or whether Apple ran a download page for iChat 6.
As the Download for Messages Beta was separate and "Deleted" iChat it would seem it would be another download for iChat 6.
iMessages will not function as it is only an Account type within Messages and iChat 6 does not have it.
Therefore messages on the iPhone will not sync to the Mac. (until you get Mountain Lion and Messages in that OS X version).
Mountain Lion and it's full version of Messages will not sync the iMessages that have happened in between the 14th December 2012 (end date of Messages beta) and the Install of Mountain Lion if you decide on that route.

Apple needs to test the carrier if they offer LTE as expected.
If your country/carrier is not on the list then there's no LTE on your iPhone.
