What happened to printing templates???

I used to print tons of photos using the "customize" toolbar in iPhoto, it offered so many amazing border and background themes. These seem to have been removed??? Really bummed about this, is there any way to regain this function??? If not, any similar apps/programs that could replicate? The current print options are far too boring and plain...

The borders in iPhoto are gone.
Try the BorderFX plug-in. You can use it to add borders to your photo when exporting from iPhoto for printing. It is very versatile and lets you add text and the annotations to the photo as well.

What happen when printing hyper black?

Hi all
Imagine you start a new document...after create any element and fill it using C=100, M=100, Y=100 and K=100. In the Illustrator preferences I have set output blacks accuratelly. So we will have 100% of colors at all the plates in press.
Ok..this is my question: Why would occur when printing this element hyper black? Would it "crash" the paper because it´s to much concentration of ink? or what?
It´s a question about graphic production..not how to do do anythin in Illustrator.

It might be that nothing would happen; for example, if the four seps were not printed on the same press run. Suppose the four color job was run on a two color press, with plenty of drying time between runs.
More than 300% ink coverage is not really uncommon. Spot varnish is often printed over areas already pushing the recommended total ink coverage limit; but again, that's on a separate press run after adequate drying time. Same goes for spot inks, like opaque metallics.

What happens in print when I do this?

If I have a base 4/c photo, and place a white box with a 30% opacity applied to it so I can vaguely see the photo underneath, in the print process does it just 'screen back' the 4/c dots in this area to a 30% value?
If it is a black box or blue box (set at 30% opacity), what would happen in the actual print process then?

You can get the output values if you turn on Separations in the Separations Preview panel and mouse over an object. The panel shows the output CMYK values when you export or print to flattened Document CMYK

What happened to Print Setup?

Just moved from Acrobat 9 to Acrobat X via CS6 upgrade. In the past, when I had considerable setup to do, I would go into Print Setup, and makle all the changes not only in the Acrobat print setup dialog but also the printer's properties dialog. And, this allowed for these settings to persist as long as I didn't close Acrobat. This was extremely helpful and important to me.
Now that I've moved to Acrobat X, there doesn't seem to be a Print Setup menu choice. Is there some way to enable the previous menu choice that performed the Print Setup action? Only "Print" is available, which seems to require a committment to print instead of simply setting up properties in preparation for printing.

OK, let me pose a typical scenario regarding this.
I clicked Print, chose a different printer from the default printer, hit the Page Setup button and chose a different page size, reverse pages, print on same side, and a few others. Then, because I'm not ready to print yet (but I DO want to persist these settings!) I hit Cancel. A few minutes later I'm ready to print. I click Print, but GUESS WHAT? the default printer is now re-selected, same for the page size!
If I had Print Setp as in previous versions, I could do each of these things under Print Setup, choose OK, and these settings are persisted until I close Acrobat, without having had to print something yet!
I don't see AT ALL how this is the same. Please try this yourself.

What Happened to Sample Templates in CS4?

In CS3, there were many examples of pages that were already complete... when you first bring up CS3, you select:
New...
More...
Page From Sample...
Starter Page (Theme)...
And then you could select from such items as Restaurants, Health and Nutrition, Personal Training... etc.
These seem to have disappeared in CS4. Is there another more robust location in Adobe that contains these samples? Starting with a blank page is so much more time-consuming.

You could look at the Templates at the Adobe Site - I've not used them,so can't vouch for how easy they are to use etc., but may be worth a look:

Pages 5.0 ...what happened to the templates?

So... I just updated, and I read that there were new templates. However, they removed a lot of the old ones.
AND ALL THE ONES THAT I USED!!!!
Is there a way of getting them back? I still have the old version of Pages, so is there a way of importing the templates that I was using????
I'm confused and very frustrated!!!

Pages 5 is a stripped down bersion of Pages and can't open most of the older templates.
Sounds like you should stick with Pages '09. That means turning off iCloud because it will convert your .pages documents into the newer format.

When you are dealing with websites, image file size is a trade off between quality and download speed. There's not a lot of point to having high quality images if they take too long to download in the browser.
Nowadays we also have to consider the device that the end user is viewing the images on. An image that is optimized for viewing on a large screen is total overkill and unsuitable for those using mobile devices.
Really we should be supplying different versions of media files for different devices using @media rules in the stylesheet but this is rather outside of the scope of iWeb. If you use the built in image optimizer and the iWeb Photo template with slideshow, the application will optimize the images according to the way in which you set this function in preferences and the slideshow size will be automatically reduced for those viewing it on smaller screens.
If you want to give your viewers the opportunity to view large, high quality images, you can supply them as a download.

In your description you say the first document opens as the Title you gave it.
Templates always open as Untitled so it sounds like you have saved a regular document, perhaps into your templates folder which is possible.
Since you have already worked on it and it has been previously saved, Lion will now Save for you and Save a Version is available
The other document does open as Untitled so sounds like a real template and as Peggy has pointed out will not have either Revert nor Save a Version until you Save it and have changed something in it.
This is a classic example of just how Apple's supposedly "simplification" of the process, is leading to confusion of what has happened. That the conditions and resulting actions from those conditions is so convoluted says it all.
It all reminds me of the Monty Python Life of Brian sketch with the "simplified" John Cleese instructions to the class, as to if you have a brother in an older dorm whether to hang your hat and bag on the hooks provided. The trouble is Apple does not get the joke, that it is transforming itself into a frequently self contradictory bumbling bureacracy. The price of unchallenged self appointed geniushood.

What happened is that version 1.0 of the security update was available for a bit of time this weekend, and that disabled Rosetta. Version 1.1 brought it back.

I cant print anything now from my computer to my hp printer. Never had this happen until November or December. Then it seemed to be OK. now today I cant print one thing. not from my gmail, or the Matrix portal I use as a realtor. My office partner is connected to the same printer and his is fine. Mine prints nothing. All I get is a print screen that says loading preview... and the .. keep moving and nothing ever shows up. If I try to to to a PDF (which is the only way we could print anything after some update last fall from the Matrix portal) it just spins ... and nothing happens . WE use to be able to print without having to save everything to a download and that changed. now I cant print anything. I need help fast.... I can't get my work done at all and I'm getting very frustrated.

Where did the "Class Designer" go in JDeveloper 9i... It was in JDev 3.2??In JDev9i, the editors are seperated, so right-click in your code editor, and select Class Editor.
Also, I've read that the printing functionality will be put back into JDeveloper in the next release. It there a date set for this release?Unfortunately, we don't have a firm date yet for the next release.

I wouldn't want to say exactly, however I would imagine that it has to do with the fact you use the same Apple ID on both devices. Since Facetime was activated on the phone, with the number, and then activated on the iPad with the email and same Apple ID, they are somehow linked. I'm not sure that you can separate it without having a different Apple ID on the two devices. Otherwise you can look at this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3367 and see if that helps you any.
