What happened to right-click burn disk?

If I recall correctly, if you wanted to burn a cd before, you put the blank cd in the Mac then dragged the files you wanted to burn on top of the cd icon and then right-clicked the cd icon and chose "burn-disk". This seems to be gone in Leopard for some reason.

you can still do it almost as easily. there is a burn button next to the CD icon in finder sidebar and there is another one if you open the CD in finder. as to why it was removed from the right-click menu you have to ask apple. this is a user to user forum and nobody here can answer that.

  • What happened to right click on file name in Indesign CS4?

I just upgraded to CS4, does anyone know what happened to being able to right click on indesign (open) file name to see where on your system it is filed? I can still do this in other programmes.

Firefox doesn't have such context menu entries for "Open Bookmark ...". So it looks that there has been a problem with the extension that added them and that started working again.

  • What happened to right click print - must have option????

    running win 8.1 latest firefox
IN EXPLORER i can right click and print any image.
firefox has no print option on right click, even if i view and image there is no print capability not even a right click print. no menu option are avalable. I can print an entire page but not an image on a page like in explorer.
ONLY way i can print and image in firefox is to save it then open saved file then print.
if this is not something easily fixed then firefox gets deleted........ please help.

Been there, been that frustrated over Firefox not having a Contextual Menu Print item - been shaking my head over that since August of 2002 when I switched from IE6 to Phoenix 0.3 ''(the early development version of what became known as Firefox)''.
Fortunately Firefox is so extensible that many extension developers early on "fixed" that glaring deficiency or oversight. Extensions are your friend in Firefox! You don't like a feature, change it; something is "missing", add it!
As cor-el mentioned, the Universal Print extension adds the Right-click menu item and there are other extensions that add that menu item, too.
Here's two more that add that feature:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/printprint-preview/
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/print-edit/
The last one is phenomenal! Allows you to edit a page in Print Preview to get rid of advertisements, unnecessary navigation sidebars, and lessen the number of sheets of paper needed to print longer articles - basically make your own "printer ready" pages when the website doesn't have that feature.

  • What happened to right-click on Bookmarks?

If I open Bookmarks and right-click on a website, why are "Open bookmark in a new Tab" and "Open Bookmark in a new window" greyed out? In previous versions, I could just open a bookmarked item in a new tab, but Firefox 4 won't allow me to do this.

Firefox doesn't have such context menu entries for "Open Bookmark ...". So it looks that there has been a problem with the extension that added them and that started working again.

  • What happened to Right Click

I've got two mighty mouses and the right click on both of them seems to have died. Did I do something wrong? I've got right click turned on in System Preferences. Is there some history of a hardware problem with these things? It's super frustrating.
Alternatively, is there a way to get a right click out of universal access keyboard controls? I get that enter works as left click but the list of keyboard commands doesn't seem to have a command for right click.
    Thanks.

is there a way to get a right click out of universal access keyboard controls?
If you are referring to the +Mouse Keys+ function, the 5 (center) key on the keypad is a mouse click (with the surrounding keypad numbers moving the cursor). I don't think Enter does anything. Since 5 is a mouse click, pressing Control and 5 is equal to a +Control Click+ (AKA "right click"). Obviously, pressing the Control key and clicking the mouse button will also give you a +Control Click+.
I've got two mighty mouses and the right click on both of them seems to have died.
If TWO Mighty Mouses have this problem at the same time, it is more likely that you have some corrupted preferences file that is preventing the "right side click" being +Control Click+ from working.
To test this possibility, create a new admin user account in System Preferences Accounts pane.
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.5/en/8235.html
Log out and log in to the new account (don't use Fast User Switching). See if you can get the +Control Click+ to work in the new user account, there is something wrong in your current user account and there is nothing wrong with the Mighty Mouse.

  • I wish to put my photo albums in alphabetical order.  Advice was to right click on pane at left.   I do not have a left pane on my i-pad and only have touch screen, what do I "right click" with and how do I get a "left pane" in my Photos folder?

I would like to put my i-pad photo albums into alphabetical order.  The advice received previously was to "right click" on an album in the left pane.   I do not have a left pane in my photos folder, how would I get this?   Also I only have touch screen so what would I "right click" with? thank you

I don't have iPhoto on my iPad, so I can't help with that, but you must have looked at advice for a Mac computer? Maybe browse the iPhoto for iOS forum?

  • What happens if I click on recovery 10.9.1

I am having problems with booting my wife's 2010 iMac. It never boots completely. I gets to a point where the screen flashes over and over a message something about opening (or not) windows which were open when I shut down.
When I hold the OPTION key at startup I get the 'option' to start up with my system hard drive or Recovery 10.9.1.
What happens if I click on Recovery 10.9.1?
    Jerry

    OK!
Then what happens? I'm primarily concerned with the data that's on the Mac HD. Does it get erased or changed in any way?

  • What happens when I click "Order" - SRM 5.0

I have a scenario where shopping carts were marked complete, but purchase orders were not created. We had some application server problems, and RFC connections were working intermittently for a short while - which caused this problem. The shopping carts create local purchase orders in SRM (not in ECC).
SO, I am trying to determine where this process could have been broken. We have the case where I can click on the trash can to delete a shopping cart that does not have a PO, and I can view the details of the shopping cart and note that there are no follow-on documents. However, when I try to delete this shopping cart, i get a warning message saying that deletion is not possible, because follow-on documents exist.
Is there some user exit, some job that was called and failed, some workflow that is triggered, etc?
I have tried to run every possible job, have reviewed all workflows, and can not find any error. I had all users recreate and reorder their carts, and the problem is solved - BUT I don't know the root cause of this, and do not truly understand what happens between clicking "order" and the workflow in the PO to auto approve (as we are using Procurement cards, and the workflow is being triggered to auto approve). In the case noted above the cart is ordered and approved, but the PO is not created and the PO auto-approval workflow is never started. (I can't retrigger because no GUI-ID is being generated either).
    Anyone have any thoughts?!?

  • What happened to my OSX Recovery disk?

I have a 2TB external drive divided up into several 320G partitions, 320G being the size of my Macintosh HD disk in my Mac mini.  I periodically SuperDupe an image to one of these partitions and boot from it to guarantee I can still operate if my internal hard disk fails.
So, when I went to install Mavericks, I first SuperDuped my ML image to its external drive partition, then did a clean install of Mavericks on the internal hard drive.  When I was done, I SuperDuped Mavericks out to an available external disk partition, and SuperDuped my ML image back to the internal hard drive.  Now I have my ML  OSX bootable on my internal hard drive, and my new Mavericks OSX bootable on my external partition.
But, what would have happened to my OSX Recovery Disk partition in this case?  I would have thought it would have gotten copied to my external drive when I SuperDuped it, but when I attempted to restart using Command-R, it went to Internet Recovery, which is what it does if you don't have an OSX Recovery Disk.
So, I'm confused.  Where is it?  Or, is it anywhere?  Can I recreate it once I permanently port Mavericks to my internal hard drive?

That's what I thought.  Now, if the Startup Disk is set to the external drive, and I restart using Command-R, where is it going to look for the recovery partition?  On the external drive?  Or on the internal drive?  The Recovery partition may have in fact been created on the internal hard drive, but if I didn't tell the Mac to boot from it, then I wonder if it would even look there.
Technically, as long as I have an external drive with a bootable Mavericks image, I don't need a recovery partition, because if the internal hard drive fails, then I can use the Option key at restart to select an alternate boot volume and use that to effect whatever recovery I may be able to achieve with Time Machine.
I work in disaster recovery, and have a Mac Pro G5 which used to be my primary system, and it had two internal hard drives.  When I migrated to the Mac mini, which only has one hard disk, I refused to cut over to it until I had a bootable external disk solution in place.  Belt and suspenders ...

  • When I right-click, the same context menu opens up (the menu for hyperlinks, with "Open Link in New Tab" and the like) regardless of what/where I right-click.

Regardless of where I right-click on a displayed webpage (NOT the menu bar at the top of the screen), be it highlighted text, a blank spot in a webpage, or anything, the context menu for a hyperlink pops up (with the options for opening it in a new tab, window or private window, bookmarking), and none of the options actually do anything even if it is a hyperlink I'm clicking on. Using keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl + clicking work fine. I haven't installed any plugins recently, and it only started a few hours ago. Wat do?

Try disabling Firebug and see how it is.

  • What happens if you try Target Disk Mode?

Has anyone tried booting up the new MB's (those without a FW port) while holding down "T" to see what happens? Does the FW logo appear?

Without Firewire I can't use any of my HD cameras to load footage into FCP or onto the MB's hard drive. USB is on the cameras but only supported under Windows. Everything I shoot is true HD (not HDV or AVCHD) and because Apple has decided to drop teh FW port on the MB I'll be forced to buy a MBP just because it has a FW port and I'll have to get a FW400 to FW800 adapter for an additional $8 to $30 which ends up essentially being a Firewire Tax of $708 to $730 just to get my tapeless workflow, flowing.
My FireStore drives are useless without a FW port as are many (most in fact) of my external HDs. I can't use the MB in TDM to load footage onto, copy off of or even dump footage directly from a P2 card reader or even one of my cameras. Without firewire I simply can't work.
Apple touted FW as the next big thing, FW3200 is on it's way, sony has iLink, many Pro cameras can only work with Macs via FW so without a FW port a MB is literally useless to me. I'm just upset that if I wanted to upgrade today, or had to, or had to bring more edit stations on the road or on location I'd be forced to pay an additional $700+ just to make each one as compatible as the previous model. As well as forced to carrying around a heavier and larger laptop with essentially the same graphics capabilities as the MB (since the MBP can't use both graphics systems at once which is an Apple limitation not Nvidias). You can't really edit HD over USB either due to the different technologies between FW and USB.
USB to FW adapters don't work in this workflow and while an express card with FW ports would, the MB is lacking that as well. Apple has chosen to alienate some customers while forcing others to pay this Firewire Port Tax.
Having owned Macs and Apple products since my Apple ][, and owning stock since it was $14 a share when Steve dropped the "i" from his iCEO status I'm, for the first time, truly disappointed and a little angry at Apple.
For my company it is that bad. The next portable upgrades we do we will have to factor in $700+ times the number of laptops we want or need. For every two MBPs we'd buy we could almost get an extra MB with the firewire tax. I'm not paying $700 for a port that's been standard for a while now, especially since Apple invented Firewire.

  • What happens if I click 'continue restore'?

Hi, I recently updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 5, but it wasn't a smooth transition at all - at first it took forever before the download actually completed and didn't lose contact with the server mid-download, then once it had downloaded and the iPhone had been backed up and reset for the new iOS I lost contact with the servers again, leaving my iPhone iOS-less. When I eventually got iOS 5 onto it iTunes stopped recognising the iPhone so I lost all my data. When iTunes randomly decided to recognise it again a couple of days later it started to restore all my data, but stopped mid-way through and I had to reset the iPhone by holding the home and lock buttons for 10 seconds. After it rebooted and I connected it back to iTunes it synced all my music, messages, photos, apps etc back to my phone, but my contact info was still missing. When I next connected my phone to iTunes I got a pop-up saying "iTunes was interrupted while restoring the contents of the iPhone "Harvey's iPhone". Would you like to restore again now?" which I am reluctant to press in case I a) lose any data created since the partial restore such as messages and/or b) have to go through any of the above happening again! So can anyone tell me what happens when I press 'continue restore' and if I will lose any of my data?
    Thanks in advance, Harvey

  • What happens when I click to "sync" button?

If I click on the "sync" button while "manually manage music and videos" is checked in the options section on the summary page in itunes, what will happen? Will iTunes sycn everything including the music or video or will it just sync everything else? I have some songs in my iPod Touch and I don't have them in iTunes. I need to press the "sync" button, but I am afraid of losing my songs if iTunes sync the music.

Will iTunes sycn everything including the music or video
It will only sync what you have selected.
