What happened to shortcuts in numbers
There used to be short cut keys displayed when you went to Numbers - Table - Add Row Above. I didn't memorize at the short cut keys, so where did it go? It is still there for many of the other items, like Edit - Undo. It appears that everything under the TABLES drop down no longer shows the short cut keys. I just updated my numbers, so perhaps its hidden somewhere I am not familiar with. thanks!!!
In your menu Help > Keyboard Shortcuts you'll find an extensive list.
If there is a menu pick that isn't on the list and you'd like to assign a shortcut to it, you can do so in System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > App Shortcuts.

We no longer get the same input and ouput classes generated for us when consuming the service. It looks like it is now expected to be called like a function ws.ZGetuname( param 1, param 2).
We would like to be able to generate the proxy the same way as before. Any ideas?

You mean, the filename with the number on the card?
Photos does not use the filenames as a title, when displaying the thumbnails. The filename will only show in the Info panel.
Copy the filenames to the title field in the Info panel and then enable "Metadata" in the View menu.

Apple introduced Auto Saving in Lion along with Versions and removed Save As from the menu.
Menu > File > Duplicate > Save the duplicate with new name
does much the same thing as Save as.

Do you mean Numbers for the Mac or Numbers for iOS?
If you bought Numbers for the Mac in April 2013 then you can still use it, and also download the new version for free.
If you bought Numbers for iOS in April 2013 then you can update it to the latest Numbers for iOS.
But Numbers for the Mac and Numbers for iOS are two different apps that need to be purchased separately.
They do come free with new iOS devices and Macs.

I am trying to type a password into a Pages document. It types in OK, but when I press return or close the document some of the letters in the password get transposed. What happens and how can I fix this? Thanks.
Are you just typing ordinary text into a word processing document or are you trying to set a password on the document itself?
If it is the first perhaps Pages is trying to spell check the password. You can tell it to ignore that "word", or turn spellchecking off.

Used to be you could select which page you wished to go back or forward to from the arrow icons on the navigation toolbar. The history menu item only shows 10 sites without having to open history for today. What happened? Is there another icon or a new plug in for this functionality? I used it all the time.

The back/forward buttons have been moved to right-hand side of the navigation bar and the drop-down was removed. User right-click or hold click for one second to see the tab history. This is item #5 in my list.
The History menu also has "Open Previous session" and "Open closed windows",
to see more history use the History sidebar ("Ctrl+H") or the History Library List ("Ctrl+Shift+H") and sort or view by "Last visited".

I enjoy running both versions of Numbers (Numbers 2 and Numbers 3) at the same time. They each have strengths and weaknesses.
Numbers 3 did not replace your Numbers 2 (Numbers '09). Look in a folder called iWork '09 inside your Applications folder. And enjoy.

iTunes no longer loads "checked" songs onto my iPhone 5. It seem to be all or nothing or choose from the 4 categories. What happened to "sync only checked songs?"

What happens to iMessage if I swap out my SIM card?
My wife and I are traveling to Europe this fall and plan to bring our iPhone 5c's with us. Our plan is to use local (O2, Czech Republic) SIM cards for phone and internet service, swapping in the O2 SIM when we arrive and replacing the VZW SIM when we return to the US. (We may also sign up for a VZW international plan at the same time, just in case we have problems with the O2 service.)
VZW tech support has assured me (though I will re-check before the trip) that our phones are already unlocked and will accept activation of another SIM card. Of course our phone numbers will change, but I expect our internet services, via O2 data plan or (mostly) Wi-fi, to go on like nothing happened. I understand SMS text messages will queue up in our absence. However iMessage operates over the internet, not SMS service. What happens to iMessages destined for our VZW number while the O2 SIM is in the phone? What about iMessages sent to the new number on the O2 SIM? And what happens when we return the VZW SIM to the phone? I can imagine confusion on Apple's end with the multiple services. Thanks for any guidance!I'm going to call the question answered. I hadn't changed my iMessage setup since getting the phone at the Verizon store. I had to go through the process of registering my Apple ID with iMessage; dunno why that wasn't already done. But once that is done, iMessage should follow the phone just as wushu2004 and rcschnoor said. Putting the VZW SIM back in the phone returns it to its previous status -- though it may take several minutes for iMessage to change the phone number to the current SIM, don't ask me why.
I have to say I still have a difficult time understanding exactly what is going on with iMessage, though I think I finally understand that when iMessage says it's using [email protected], it's referring to my Apple ID (which is the same as my email address) and not my actual email service.

I downloaded Safari 5.1 onto Mac OS 10.6.8 some time ago. Yesterday the back/forward arrows next to the url window changed to a +, which adds the current url as a bookmark. I want the arrows back. What happened, and how can I fix this? Thanks. kammro

After connecting my iphone to my Macbook Pro to download photos to my phone yesterday, my Pages application is gone from my computer. The icon is still in the dock. What happened and how do I get it back? Its not in my trash or anywhere else.
The other 2 applications open like normal. All three give me info.
Pages ver.4.1 265.8MB
Numbers ver. 2.1 89.5MB
Keynote ver. 5.1.1 238.1MB
They all list Apr 3 as the last time opened. That was when I upgraded to Mavericks. I certainly used pages and numbers since then as I have alot of my work files on this computer?
Just very odd. I did find my original iWorks disc from when I bought the computer. I'm assuming i can reinstall it. Will try that. Thank you for all your help. Would still like to know what did happen?

What happened to my gift card credit?
I know how to review my purchase history in my iTunes account. But, how do I find out what happened to a gift card credit? Per my my account's purchase history, I only used $10 of a $50 gift card (assuming the culprit is NOT user error, e.g., I redeemed on the incorrect account). Can I search "payment history" in addition to purchase history? Thanks.
I am currently in 'discussion' with iTunes about this very issue. It's happened to me at least twice before when I redeemed a Gift card and didn't use the full amount. A couple of weeks later... the 'credit' was gone!
I also question as to why iTunes do NOT show gift card redemptions... VERY sus imho!!! Why dont they??!!
I have asked iTunes to provide me with a list of all my transactions for this year so I can see when, where and how my credits were used. So far the best I got was "check your account balance". They have said they will look into it from another side (ie. not via their customer support) but I will give them a week before I go to Fair Trading and make a formal complaint.
I have provided them screen shots, dates, my purchase history etc. and the numbers just dont add up. Either my credit balance expired (in the space of a couple of weeks) or someone is skimming accounts - which is on the iTunes system. Either way iTunes have a case to answer! -
What happened to my tv artwork in iTunes?
So can anyone explain what happened to my tv artwork in iTunes? It's not only the artwork that is messed up, but there are now multiple copies of each tv show in my iTunes, all the shortcuts in them work as well. Album artwork seems to have crossed over to tv artwork also. Music artwork is completely unaffected despite crossover in the other direction. It just began once when I opened iTunes, everything was suddenly wonky. Here are some screenshots so you get a better idea.

Thank you. Also help.For those of you who were unable to resolve this issue by signing out of the iTunes Store and then signing back in: I was able to fix my problem by restoring from a Time Machine backup of my iTunes library file. Here's what I did:
Uncheck the "Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases" checkbox in your iTunes preferences (Store tab)
Quit out of iTunes
Copy your Time Machine backups of iTunes Library, iTunes Library Extras.itdb, and iTunes Library Genius.itdb over the current versions of those files in your iTunes directory (for most people, this will be Music/iTunes in your home folder)
Disable your internet connection by disabling your wireless or unplugging your ethernet cord. This is necessary in order to prevent iTunes from syncing with iCloud upon launch (for whatever reason this just caused the problem to reoccur after syncing).
Launch iTunes. Your library should be back to normal (minus your Cloud purchases of course).
Re-enable your internet connection and check the "Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases" checkbox.
The Cloud purchases should sync properly now.
Keep in mind that anything you downloaded from iTunes since your backup will show up as only existing in the cloud. -
Im having a problem that started today with no changes to my computer. Every search and link I open now opens in a new window which is extremely aggrivating. Can anyone offer any advice on what happened or how to fix this?
