What happened to the icon for email message addresses in Yosemite?

Yosemite code has eliminated the email icon for outgoing message addresses. Doesn't make sense. What am i missing?

If you open a compose message, then in the addressee line, there is a blue plus + in a circle. Click that and you will get the Contacts (AddressBook).

Make sure your Junk Mail settings are properly set up, right now neither of those messages are marked as Junk Mail. When Mail identifies an item as Junk Mail or you manually do, it will add the text "Mail thinks this message is Junk Mail" or "You marked this message as Junk Mail" to the message. Right now this just looks like regular SPAM that you might get that hasn't been properly identified as Junk Mail or when Junk Mail Filtering is no enabled. Remember Mail needs to learn what is and is not Junk Mail over time, so if you have recently reset your mail settings through a reinstall or the like, it may still be learning.
1. Do you have a Junk folder (system created) as one of your mailboxes? If there is none, it means that Junk Mail filtering is not enabled or has been enabled but the system has yet to identify any mail as Junk.
2. If you do have a Junk folder, try dragging a piece of mail into the folder to see if the banner I am referring to appears. It should. You should be able to unmark the mail and drag it it back in your inbox.
3. If you manually mark the mail as Junk, does it move into the Junk folder and have the banner I am referring to? It should.
4. If any of the above is not happening, first check your mail settings using the guides below:
Mail (Yosemite): Reduce junk mail in your inbox
Mail (Yosemite): If junk mail filters aren’t working correctly
If all seems correct and it's still not working right, try rebuilding your mailbox:
Mail (Yosemite): Rebuild mailboxes
If none of these help you, please post back and we'll try something else. Oh, and clear out your Previous Recipients window of any unwanted email addresses. Anything listed in there is usually ignored by the Junk Mail filters.

It seems to come and go as it pleases with me. Sometimes it's there and other times it isn't when launching iTunes and going to iTMS.

What happened to the icon of the "house"? After searching the web or checking my e-mail I could alway click on the house to return to my home page. Now I have to keep clicking the back arrow or enter my home page on my google search.

The home button has by default moved to the right hand edge of the navigation toolbar. You can move it back by right-clicking on a toolbar, choose customize to open the customize toolbar window, then with that window on display you can drag and drop icons to move them.
If the home icon is not at the right end of the navigation toolbar, use the procedures in the following link to restore it - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Back+and+forward+or+other+toolbar+items+are+missing

On my iphone I no longer have an icon for messaging on one of my contacts. I can still text that person and have his phone number but what happened to the icon?

One of my contacts no longer has an icon for texting. It show the phone icon and his number is still present. I can still send and receive texts from this person but what happened to the "balloon" icon?

Can you delete the contact, reset your phone and then re add the contact again?

How can I change the icon for incoming messages on iChat?

I already changed the icon for the ichat app, but whenever i get a new message it reverts back to the original icon with a number on the corner. I have an icon for the alternating messages i just don't know how to change it. HELP?!

It's a long time since I changed an Icon on anything on my computer.
The icon for the App is stored in the App and there are two ways to change it.
You can do a Get Info (CMD and i Keys together) on the app itself and then Paste a new icon to the top field.
The other way is to edit/change the icns file in the App itself.
Right/Control Click the app and choose Show Package Contents.
Open the Contents folder then Resources and the iChat.icns file is in there
I am presuming that if you use the first method - the bit that puts the Red area with the number in it uses something else (possibly the icns file)
I cannot find any "supply" of the red numbers. In fact I use Chax (An iChat Add-On) that changes this to the first part of the first IM that is not read - which suggests the red area is the important bit.
If you do try to edit the .icns file I would save the Original first.

What happened to the "+" icon next to URL window?

The "+" icon next to the URL window used to bring up a pop-up menu to let you save the URL as a bookmark. Now clicking the same icon adds the URL to your Reading List instead. Is there any way to change this back? I really need the old functionality back...I used that icon 20-30 times a day to save bookmarks. Thanks for any info!

Thanks! That's what I was trying to remember. I don't like some of these changes to Safari, but I guess I'll get used to them. I REALLY wish there was a Preference available in Safari to designate Bookmark vs Reading List as the default.

If you have a rescue email on file, the reset for the questions is sent there. If you don't have a rescue email, you will have to call Applecare, verify your identity, and then reset the questions. You will need to be able to sign in to the apple id website when you call.

After upgrading to FF4, I noticed the link to organize bookmarks is no longer there. Where do i go to organize my bookmarks e.g. add a new folder, move sites from one folder to another, etc.?

You can look in the toolbar palette to see if you can find the Bookmarks Menu button (with the drop marker) and drag the icon on the Navigation Toolbar.
Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"

What happened to the icon "Stop loading this page", when I downloaded the newest version of Foxfire?

In the previous edition of Foxfire, an arrow pointing clockwise was located near the 'back' - 'forward' button. This Stop Loading Page icon has disappeared. I liked that feature--it was helpful. How can I retrieve this feature?

What happens during the "Waiting for UDev uevents to be processed"?

Hello dear archers,
I have arch installed on my laptop, working great, I really love it.
Only one thing bother me and I would like to solve it: at boot time, the system waits for about 15s on the stage "Waiting for UDev uevents to be processed".
Is it normal? What is it doing exactly during this stage: loading modules?
I try to see in my logs but I can't find anything related to this. How can I know if there is not some kind of issue which make him takes so long ? How can I improve this ?

Well, according to the man page and rc.sysinit, udevadm command in the rc.sysinit script does:
/sbin/udevadm settle
/sbin/udevadm control --property=STARTUP=
I assume this is the settle command which takes time.
But how can I list the uevents in the queue the udevadm settle command is waiting for ? If possible, with the delay of treatment of each of these uevents during the boot...
I have nothing related to this in my logs.
Regarding my hardware, I have one toshiba laptop P300-220 with two internal hard drives (and many partitions on them). But no external drive.

Once we stop a replication for a table then does the table still exists in HANA DB . Next time when we have requirement for replicating this table what precautions we need to take .

When you use Stop replication, the table still exists on HANA DB.
When LT server is used for replication,with Stop repication option then in the source system the DB triggers and the logging tables are deleted and hence no changes to the data recorded.
If you wish to perform replication again then you need to perform initial load and then replicate then the latest changes to the data are visible.

I believe you're mistaken. There's never been an icon to download music or video from a web page in Safari. Maybe you installed something that put an icon there before you updated to Safari 4.0.3?

What happened to the option for a dialog box upon closing that allowed for modifying the automatic history clearing options, and how do I get it back?

I no longer find this option in the privacy settings under the Tools/Options menu. Is there a setting I can modify in the config file to reactivate this function?

As I remember, that pop-up box disappeared after Firefox 3.5, as well ask the "Ask me before clearing..." option check box. The items are now automatically cleared that you have selected in ''Firefox button > Options > Options (or Tools > Options) > Privacy > [x] Clear history when Firefox closes > Settings''
