What happened when my phone got water on it, then it died right after? When I tried to charge it, it would just go to the charging screen nd to the turning on screen back and fourth. Now its not turning on at all.
My phone got water on it from the pool after my lifeproof case failed to work this time. Immediatly after, my phone died. When I charged my Iphone5S it when to the charging screen. After a few minutes, It said it was turning on, but then just went back to the charging screen. Now it isnt turning on at all. What do I do?
Well, it was a mistake to try to use it while wet. Doing so made the chance of recovery less likely. The best you can do is to dry it thoroughly, then put in in a sealed plastic bag with uncooked rice for 5 days or so. If you can get silica gel that would be even better. At the end of 5 days if it still doesn't work you will have to replace the phone. Apple will do an exchange for $269 if you don't have AppleCare+ or $79 if you do have it.

I dropped my iPhone 4s and the back cracked and it now will not turn on. I was wondering if anyone could give me an estimated price to fix it. And I do have insurance on it with best buy. I'm on Verizon's phone plan so I don't know if it would be cheaper to have it fixed with Best Buy or Verizon. I cracked my iPod a little bit ago and got a refurbished one for free with the insurance on it but I don't now if it would be different because it is a phone. I don't know really anything about this stuff so any information that could possibly help me is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
That's only for the iPhone 5. On the 4 and 4S, they can repair the back glass in store for $30. They will not replace the display on a 4 or 4S. They must replace the entire phone. Replacing the display on them requires disassembling the entire phone, which they will not do in store.

My iPod touch 5th generation isn't working. I plugged it in last night to charge and now its not turning on or responding to anything. It used to do this thing where it would freeze when it was 100% charged and plugged in and I was using it. I'd just unplug it, restart it (home button and top button) and then it would be fine. That had happened like 5 hours prior to me plugging it in again and then it going totally blank.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

A few days ago my iphone stopped charging and now it wont turn on at all. Ive taken it into Verizon and they told me that the charging port is corroded. Ive looked at the back of my iphone and discovered my iphone serial number is not located on the back and i am unable to turn my iphone on. is there any other ways i can retrieve my serial number for my phone?

You cannot. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of the nearest Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service provider and be prepared to purchase an out of warranty replacement. User damage is not covered under warranty.

It doesn't matter that the damage doesn't appear to be related to the problem you're having. Once the phone is damaged, the warranty is void.

I have the same problem. My Ipad 3 was a bit slow/unresponsive, and then it just went blank. I pressed the home button to see if it would come back on, and it was extremely slow, but it did show me the home screen. However, then it went off and wont come back on at all now. I have tried charging, tried the reboot, connected to itunes (which cannot detect the ipad) and nothing is working.
The ipad is only 2 months old, and no damage!
