What happens if you delete the iCloud backup of an iOS device using the iCloud control panel on a Windows computer?

....

Penelope,
The issue is your iCloud email.  It seems that you use your mail frequently.  I strongly recommend you to look at the affordable rates that will suit you.  If I was you, I would select the 20gb plan that offers you 20gb + 5gb free storage that gives you a grand total of 25gb.  That will only cost you .99 cents a month, less than a Starbucks coffee.  Penelope, that will resolve your issue swiftly.
Below is iCloud pricing

Nothing. You will lose that backup but you will still be able to make backups in the future if you want to. You can also remove things you do not need from the backup, so you do not have to lose everything from your backup.

  • HT5538 How do you separate multiple iOS devices using the same apple id account for Face Time calls and iMessaging?

How do you separate multiiple ios devices using the same apple id account for Face Time calls and iMessaging?

The only way I have seen is to have each device use a if fervent email account, if they all are on the same email the FaceTime connection is either to a phone number or to an email address.  If they ar all on the same email, it is up to the user to decide which to use.

  • What happens when you delete a linked server?

What actually happens when you deleted a linked server? SSMS says deleting a remote server deletes all remote logins defined for that server..Are you sure you want to delete this linked server and all remote logins defined
    for this server?
How can I see the remote logins for the linked server?
    thanks in advance

So this is the problem with using the UI - you don't really know what is going on under the hood.
You can see your linked servers in sys.servers. You can see mapped logins in sys.linked_logins.
You drop a server with sp_dropserver, and if I remember correctly it also drops the logins.
Nothing is ever touched on the remote data source. it is a purely local operation.

  • What happens if I delete a site in iweb?  site still on the web? system?

B/c of my various issues i'm having since upgrading iweb, I created two test sites on iweb09. I was able to upload them to the web and to a folder.
I deleted both. Later, I created another test site with the same name (site 2). I noticed this one was acting weird.
I'm wondering what happens to the sites after they are deleted.
    1. Are they available on the web?
    2. Are they somewhere else on my system that I should make sure to delete?
    Thx.

Deleting sites inside iweb does not have any effect on what has been published on a server or to a folder on your local drive. It just changes what is in iWeb's domain file.

  • How can i look at my files from icloud backup if my iOS device is no longer available (was stolen)?

Is it possible to view and download photos that were in each iOS device's last backup? I do not have the iOS devices anymore as they were stolen while traveling.
Unfortunately, I significantly misunderstood how photo stream was working and due to memory limitations on my iPad (very little available memory with loaded movies and other big memory uses), I had to find ways to keep memory from being totally full and was deleting photos in Photo Stream on that iOS device thinking it would only delete it on that device and not ALL iOS devices. It seems that is a missing feature selection (should be a default too IMO) on Photo Stream!!
    thx in advance..

If you want to view and download your photos from your backup files,  I think you need the help of third party iOS data recovery like ifonebox, dr.phone. Such kinds of software can help you view and retrieve your photos. Hope this is helpful to you.

  • HT1848 How do you transfer purchases from an iOS device using the new iTunes (11?)?

I've just updated iTunes to ver. 11 on my mothers new PC and I'm connecting her iPad up for the first time.  I can't see anything like the transfer purchases option that exsisted in the previous versions.  I've tried to eject and start again, but it's still not giving me the option like it used to when you connected a device for the first time.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

okay, should have serched a little more..  all I had to do was CTRL + b in my library to view the file menu, and under File -> Devices -> transfer purchases
    Please ignore this question!

  • Does the iPhone 4S (or any iOS devices) use only partial ram when doing intense things such as playing a really graphical intense game?

I heard that when using the iPhone 4S, the user can only access 200mb instead of the full 512 mb, is this true?

Any update will cause problems for a few users. And those users will rush here and post "the sky is falling" stories about their experience. The 99.99% of people who have no problems after an update won't bother to post here; indeed, most of them don't even know ASC exists. FWIW, I had no problems with iOS 7 on my 4S. Your problem is most likely not related to iOS 6, but you should probably update anyway. • How can i synchronize different contacts and different calendars with different iOS devices using the same Apple ID and iTune ID?

I have the following situation. 1 Apple ID. 1 iTune account. I have 2 ipads and 2 iPhones
1- I would like to have a set of 1 ipad and 1 iphone (mine) sharing the same contacts and calendar entries (synching from outlook)
2- I would like to have another set of 1 ipad and 1 iphone (my wife's) sharing contacts and calendar entries but obviously these would be a different set of contacts and calendar entries than mine
How can I set up my four devices to do this?
    Thanks for your help
    Cheers

Have your wife log in to her user account on the laptop. Launch iTunes, then connect her phone to the computer with the USB cable. Sync. That should put back all apps and media. Since you already upgraded her to iOS 5 she'll have to manually enter all her settings and preferences, and organize her home screens.

  • I'm worried about what will happen if I delete my recent backup data from the phone I still own? Will I lose any progress in games that was saved in the backup?

I'm worried about what will happen if I delete my recent backup data from the phone I still own? Will I lose any progress in games that was saved in the backup?
I have an iPhone 4S and I keep getting those irritating notifications that tell me I need to upgrade my storage or free up space. I've deleted all I can from my music and photos without losing too many precious memories, but it's come to the point where I think I need to delete backups. However, I'm just worried that I will lose all and any log-in information that I don't remember and app/game progress that was saved to the iCloud. Please Tell me what will happen/what I can do?

If you are asking what happens when you delete an iCloud backup, it only deletes the backup from your account.  It won't do anything to the data on your phone or in your iCloud account.  If you don't need to backup you can delete it.  (If you no longer want to back up your phone to iCloud, turn iCloud backup off in Settings>iCloud>Backup.  Then your phone will back up to your computer each time you sync it with iTunes.)

  • HT4623 My new iPad mini won't install the update 7.0.6 until it has finished restoring from the iCloud backup.  What do I do to make the restoration complete? I have been using the mini for about a month.

I have downloaded iOS 7.0.6 but it will not install until the ipad is finished restoring from the Icloud backup.  I've been using the mini for about a month, so why is it not completely restored?  How do I make the restore process finish?

When and where was the iPad/charger purchased? It's covered by a 1-year warranty.
The problem may be the USB cable.

  • If iCloud makes backups of different iOs devices

When  making iCloud backups of different iOS - devices ( eg : in my case iphone , iPad-1 and iPad Air), are these. Backups individual for each device ?
    - Or is there only 1 Backup done ( for one device), and the rest written over ?
    Thx in advance

There is a separat backup for each device.

  • How do I find pdf's stored in iCloud Drive with my iOS devices?

I have recently updated OS X to 10.10 and all of my iOS devices to 8.1.  And I routinely store Pages, Numbers, Keynote and pdf documents on iCloud Drive.
But I can't figure out how to find a pdf stored on iCloud Drive from an iOS device.  It's obvious (in the finder) in Yosemite, but I have no idea with iOS.

You have to access documents in iCloud drive on an iOS device from an iCloud compatible app that can read the document you are trying to open.  For PDFs, you can use an app like Documents 5 by Readdle.
