What happens to a Domain Controller if event id:2213 is not fixed?
Hi,
What happens to a Domain Controller if event id:2213 is not fixed? Does it impact the domain replication to other DC's? Also the DC has PDC and RID fsmo roles any impact there?
Thank you,
Hi,
Are you getting below event id ?

Pretty new domain, and domain controller, running server 2012 as a Hyper-V VM.
Getting this error when it reboots. I have done a chkdsk, thinking maybe the vhdx file is corrupt in some way. Have also checked the system log for events talking about file corruption. Nothing.
The disk in question has 10+ GB free, so disk space is not an issue. I ran dcdiag /q /a & it told me that DFSR has logged events in the last 24 hours, but nothing else. AD seems to think everything is cool.
Not sure what to look at next... Thanks for any pointers/help.
The DFS Replication service stopped replication on volume C:. This failure can occur because the disk is full, the disk is failing, or a quota limit has been reached. This can also occur if the DFS Replication service encountered errors while attempting to
stage files for a replicated folder on this volume.
Additional Information:
Error: 23 (Data error (cyclic redundancy check).)

I have a galaxy s3 and ti can no longer delete my recents in the app on my phone what happened to it?
Hi,
The 'Clear Recents' button which was provided in previous releases only *cleared* the Recent list and did not delete the files. The files stayed in your document hierarchy. For deleting the files, you can go to the Documents/Acrobat.com tab and delete the files individually. However, please note that the files will be permanently deleted from your device. Please let us know if this is not a viable option for you. We would like to hear more about your use case.
Thanks,

What happened to the alarm icon for Events with alarms
Upon upgrading to iCal 3.0, I notice that events that have alarms attached no longer display with the little "bell" icon on them (indicating that an alarm is attached). Any way to get these to appear again?
-- DaveI just noticed this today, too. Also, the "overlapping squares" icon doesn't show up when events are repeating. These icons are helpful when I only have time to glance at my calendar; did they disappear altogether, or is there a way to turn them back on?

What happens to the display if the iBook is closed when Not asleep??
I have read that closing the iBook when it will not sleep is BAD and can ruin the display. Does anyone know what exactly happens to the display in this case??
Yes it was under warranty. My husband took it into the Apple store and they told him that the type of damage that our screen had was obviously because of an accident and that voided any warranties on the computer all together so it would not be covered.
I know that there was no accident since the computer was sitting in a home office between the time I used it last until the time my husband went to use it 17 hours later. No one else was home. He noticed that the computer was not sleeping when it was closed also.
That is why I am interested in the type of damage that occurs to the screen. I have seen several times in these discussions warning not to close a screen if the computer will not sleep. These warnings usually link to a warning from Apple that doing so will cause damage to the screen.
I'm just sick at having to purchase a new iBook when the old one was only 4 mos old. -
What happened to my thumbnail cache files? says they do not have read/write access.
I was opeing Fc Studio 2, when the box popped up which said: Thumbnail cache files does not have read/write access. i pressed Ok and the program closed, so I can't fix the access. What do i do?
Thumbnail cache files will be re-generated if you trash them, so you can simply delete them.
A better question would be: Why is FCS reporting this? At a minimum you should repair your permissions, and run Disk Warrior on your data drive. If the message returns, think about trashing your prefs. -
What happen when the wrong download is done and it's not what you choose?
What do you do when you hve been charged but not recived the order?
Please explain the circumstances. You have either bought something you now regret or you have been charged an authorisation fee which will actually never be activated.
If you bought the Isley brothers by accident, contact Apple via the note on the invoice which invites you to advise them of a problem. If it is the first occurance of its kind you may find they will clear the charge, but you won't get more than one chance, I'll be bound. -

Hi I am running a virtulized server 2012R2 DC DC02TL.test.local in a lab environment. I want to clone the DC. I am following this tutorial.

You are right, but how could i send it to Apple? when the phone company first replaced my iphone they had in stock alots of iphones and they just sent mine back to Apple and gave me a new one, so all i did is to give them my phone, but now how could i sent it to Apple? and i cant send it by myself, and the store wont do that, its a lost for them.. so sending it to Apple wasnt an option from the begining.
and for the record, i dont think the store where i bought it is an authorized shop.. its just a store who boughts phone's from Apple in a low price and sells it in much more money.. -
are my downloads purchased with my iphone through itunes gone if I did not back-up first before my device sync?
Hi Liz Al,
Welcome to the Support Communities!
If you synced your iPhone to your computer, the ringtone should be in your iTunes library.
Ringtones can only be downloaded once.
Using the iTunes Store for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1491
Tones
You cannot purchase ringtones and alert tones from your computer, but you can purchase them using your iOS device with iOS 5 or later. You can purchase tones on iPad, iPhone (3GS or later), and iPod touch (4th generation or later).
To locate tones in iTunes on an iOS device:
Tap the iTunes app.
Tap Tones. If Tones is not visible, tap More > Tones.
Browse for tones. Once you purchase a tone, a dialog is displayed. The dialog gives you an option to set your new tone as your default tone or assign it to a Contact. If you don't want to do anything with the tone just yet, simply tap Done.
Tones purchased using your iOS device are synced to your iTunes library when you connect your device to your computer. On an iPod touch or iPhone, you can find tones in Settings > Sounds. On an iPad, you can find tones in Settings > General > Sounds.
I hope this information helps ....
Have a great day!

New Domain Controller does not show in our different site's Domain controller's Sites and Services
Hi,
we have two sites in our AD environment. OMA site and NY site. we have three domain controllers in our OMA site and two domain controllers in our NY site. All our DCs are windows server 2008R2 except one in our OMA site that is 2003R2 the domain
functional level is also 2003R2.
We decided to raise our functional level to 2008R2. I added a new domain controller in our OMA site and transferred all FESMOS from the DC that was running 2003R2 to this new domain controller.
the issue now is that our NY site does not make any connection with the new domain controller in OMA site. it does not even show it under sites and services. I have checked the DNS settings and everything. if you try to replicate the connections
from NY site it gives the following error: "The naming context is in the process of being removed or is not replicated from the specific server."
can anyone plz tell me why this is happening mt brain is just frozen at this moment and cant figure out why is this happeningJust noticed this replication issue has been going on for a while now but we never noticed until I added new DC. here is the error log for the NY site DC.
Log Name: Directory Service

Task Category: Replication
Level: Error
Keywords: Classic
User: ANONYMOUS LOGON
Computer: NORDC1.vertrue.com
Description:
It has been too long since this machine last replicated with the named source machine. The time between replications with this source has exceeded the tombstone lifetime. Replication has been stopped with this source.
The reason that replication is not allowed to continue is that the two DCs may contain lingering objects. Objects that have been deleted and garbage collected from an Active Directory Domain Services partition but still exist in the writable partitions
of other DCs in the same domain, or read-only partitions of global catalog servers in other domains in the forest are known as "lingering objects". If the local destination DC was allowed to replicate with the source DC, these potential lingering object
would be recreated in the local Active Directory Domain Services database.
Time of last successful replication:
2013-05-16 15:26:38
Invocation ID of source directory server:
9236ac56-d046-4632-b072-acbe823c5f6c
Name of source directory server:
accde843-11b2-476c-9783-9b29252d0ba5._msdcs.vertrue.com
Tombstone lifetime (days):
90
The replication operation has failed.
User Action:
The action plan to recover from this error can be found at
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=314282.
If both the source and destination DCs are Windows Server 2003 DCs, then install the support tools included on the installation CD. To see which objects would be deleted without actually performing the deletion run "repadmin /removelingeringobjects
<Source DC> <Destination DC DSA GUID> <NC> /ADVISORY_MODE". The eventlogs on the source DC will enumerate all lingering objects. To remove lingering objects from a source domain controller run "repadmin /removelingeringobjects <Source
DC> <Destination DC DSA GUID> <NC>".
If either source or destination DC is a Windows 2000 Server DC, then more information on how to remove lingering objects on the source DC can be found at
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=314282 or from your Microsoft support personnel.
If you need Active Directory Domain Services replication to function immediately at all costs and don't have time to remove lingering objects, enable replication by setting the following registry key to a non-zero value:
Registry Key:
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\NTDS\Parameters\Allow Replication With Divergent and Corrupt Partner
Replication errors between DCs sharing a common partition can prevent user and compter acounts, trust relationships, their passwords, security groups, security group memberships and other Active Directory Domain Services configuration data to vary between
DCs, affecting the ability to log on, find objects of interest and perform other critical operations. These inconsistencies are resolved once replication errors are resolved. DCs that fail to inbound replicate deleted objects within tombstone lifetime
number of days will remain inconsistent until lingering objects are manually removed by an administrator from each local DC. Additionally, replication may continue to be blocked after this registry key is set, depending on whether lingering objects are
located immediately.
Alternate User Action:
Force demote or reinstall the DC(s) that were disconnected.

Central Domain Controller in Solution manager
Hi All,
We have configured ChaRM successfully for ECC and BI system landscapes, by creating domain links between Solution Manager domain controller and individual domain controllers for ECC and BI systems. Now, we are planning to go for a central domain controller (Solman Domain Controller) for all the satellite systems. So basically, we plan to move the individual domain controllers from ECC and BI to solman domain controller and i guess there will not be domain links required anymore.
With regards to above scenario, please help me with below queries:
1 - Will the above strategy work with chaRM or not
2 - If yes, what are the activities that would be required to be redone in satellite system and solman system
3- Any critical pre-requisites that needs to be checked before we can start this exercise
Please help me with the above queries. Appreciate your time and effort.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
ImranHI,
Yes, you could use solman to be set as the main domain controller; either way with domain links, please kindly have a look
