What happens to email that I sent to a misspelled address example...fripol@ instead of ripol@

I have recently sent sensitive information to H&R Block.....and misspelled the address
where does that mail go...who has access to it?

That depends on the configuration of the mail server at the receiving end. Some mail servers have a 'catch all' mailbox that receives mis-addressed mail. Some will (gasp) silently drop the mail and take no action on it.
More commonly, though, is that unless you typed a real email address (i.e. "[email protected]" and "[email protected]" both exist) you should receive a bounced message indicating that the mailbox does not exist. It works much like the postal system -- you would receive a returned message indicating failure to deliver (also called a Delivery Status Notification).
