What happens to the apps when I press the home button on iPod touch?
Yeah, I know that sounds obvious, but I need to know the idea behind it. In iOS 4, you can multitask, but only if you have an iPod touch 3rd generation (32 or 64 GB). I don't have an iPod touch 3rd generation; I have the 8 GB 2nd generation, which I upgraded to iOS 4, so I have no multitasking for 3rd party apps.
So my question is: On my 2nd generation iPod touch that runs iOS 4, if I close a 3rd party app that uses Push Notifications (such as Facebook or Textfree Unlimited) by pressing the home button, will it still run in the background?

I'm not dead certain of this, but I think the only push mail supported is Apple's MobileMe. When you launch another app the current app is closed. The Home button should close any running app. The only exception I've noted is if you are playing music on the Touch which seems to continue playing even when running another app.

Do you have any restrictions for purchasing apps on the phone? Settings > General > Restrictions. If you have a Mac computer or another Apple device can you purchase things in the App Store using the same Apple ID on something else?

When I compose an email it flies up the screen when I press the shift key and then comes back again. I've clicked default settings on Keyboard in Preferences but it has made no difference. It has only just started happening. Any ideas?
This problem has also been plaguing me today. Here are my specifics and how I solved it (Expanding on what Quentin Holmes mentioned)
CONFIRMED WORK AROUND! The .m4v file gets created while encoding, but Adobe Media Encoder does not re-pack it back into the .mp4 unless you select the "Export Audio" in Adobe Premier export prior to queuing. If you don't want audio, mute the individual tracks and still export audio.
My details:
Just bought a GH4, shooting 4k 25fps MOV, trying to simply trim a few clips and export them as H.264 .mp4 with no audio. (By the way it would be nice if we could export 4k .MOV files from the camera back into .MOV once finished editing, but in premier that frame resolution is not supported)
Specs: Mac Mini, Quad Core i7, 16GB Ram, OSX 10.9.4, Adobe Premier Pro CS6 6.0.5, Adobe Media Encoder 6.0.2.81

I have synced an iPhone 4S with iCloud - I now have a 5C to replace it. What happens to my data when I retire the 4S - does it need the original device to save my data?

Once you have restored your new phone from the backup of your old phone and ensured that everything is working correctly, you should first turn off "find my phone" on the old phone and then erase it, before you get rid of it. -

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

What happens to my apps when I switch iCloud accounts on my phone?
I'm trying to switch the iCloud accounts from an old one that's acting up to a new one that I've created. When I started to, though, I got worried because it said something about Documents as I tried to delete the iCloud account that was already there.
When you change the iCloud acconts on your phone, what happens to your apps?
1.Are they all deleted?
2. If not, do they just stay and never get updated, or do they all reset?
3. Is there any way I can transfer the purchases to my new iCloud so that I don't have to buy them again?Depends upon what you mean by change.
If you update your existing account to have a new primary email address then you shouldn't lose any of the account's past purchases, balance, or iCloud storage - you may have to log out of the old version of your account by tapping on it in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in with the updated version, and similarly for iCloud (Settings > iCloud > Sign Out).
If you create a new account then your existing account's purchases, balance and iCloud storage will remain tied to the existing account, you can't transfer them to a new account or merge the new account with the old one. -
When I press the down arrow on Firefox, it scrolls to the bottom of the screen. I'm almost always just trying to move the vertical scroll bar down one or two picas (or however you measure it). This didn't used to happen until about 2009. Any suggested fixes?

My husband was having problem with his ipod touch for the last couple of days. He has no idea how to download stuff, he just uses it for slacker radio.

What happens to my mail when I hit the "archive" button?
I inadvertently pushed the "archive" button in Mail and one my messages was 'sucked' away. I was wondering what happens to these archived messages and whether it is possible to retrieve them.

Why will Adobe Reader10 Not open the PDF when I press the "Help" button in my software Sibelius?
Hi There,
I'm running windows 7 on my lap top (64 bit) and installed Adobe Reader 10. I use Sibelius software to write music. In the In the Sibelius Menu bar is a "Help" button. When you click on this the reference books (on PDF's) that are provided are suppose to open up. This is not hppening.
When I go to the Adobe file and right click I see at the bottom "Properties" it is in this area that I believe I'm suppose to give Adobe Reader 10 permissions to open PDFs. I'm not sure though what exactly needs to happen.

My iPod 5th generation died and I charged it. It has been charging for almost 5 hours and just displays a battery symbol with a column of red when the on/off button is pressed. My home button also doesn't work so I cannot try to reset it that why. Any suggestions?
