What happens to txts sent to me when I am away with phone off for over a week?

I went off-continent for only a week, to places where there was no verizon or CDMA coverage.
Usually when I return from having my phone off for a while, I'll get a small flood of txts from the week I was away.
I found out today a friend had txt'ed me while I was away, but I never rec'd the message, though there were others that came from later the week.
How long do txts stay floating around space until they are picked up? Do they expire at some point? I am wondering how many txts I might have missed.

Budone is correct - so only the most recent texts will reach you when you turn the phone back on.

Do you have the iCloud set up? If you don't you need to buy a third party software that will do it for you when you plug your phone into the new computer. You can google: iPad/iPhone/iPod to Computer Transfer. You have to pay for the software but it's really a life saver and you get free updates for life. It'll save you a lot of pain and suffering in the future. I've used it many times.

The next time the problem happens, note the date and time the problem occurred, then go to Applications/Utilities/Console and copy the log starting at the time of the crash. Paste the log in a reply. Please do not use a screen shot as they can be hard to read. If there are repeated runs of the same messages, please post only one run. Be selective about what you post and don’t post huge amounts. If your country/carrier is not on the list then there's no LTE on your iPhone.

In Messages on the Mac do you have the Preferences > Messages section set to "Save History when Conversations are Closed" ?
This will store all IMs and iMessages in ~/Library/Messages/Archive.
Use the Finder > Go Menu > Go to Folder and type that path into the Dialogue box that appears. (~/Library/Messages/Archive).
They are stored in dated folders so some guessing/trail and error will be needed.
You may find that if this was an iMessage and you send the person a new message that the whole History with that Contact since you installed Mountain Lion/Started Messages may appear and that it is scrollable the closer you get to the "top" and the top may keep moving until all is on show.

I have troubles enabling the cookies, even though I never disabled them, thus I cannot log into my GMAIL account for over two weeks now. What should I do?

I cannot log into my gmail or facebook account, because it says: cookies are disabled, enable cookies to continue. I tried changing my settings in Firefox - Options - Settings - Privacy - Use custom settings. I did exactly what I was advised in the Firefox Help online, enabled everything, then clicked OK. Didnt work. Tried it again and I only found that the settings (custom settings - enabled everything) were not even saved. I am not able to save these custom settings any way, it never saves them no matter how many times I try and click ok, I come back to the setting to find that they are not there. So I tried clearing all the cookies and cache in history (also found this online in firefox support site), guess what? DIDNT WORK. I am starting to be a little bit pissed off as I cannot log into my gmail or facebook account for over two weeks now! Any time I need to check e-mails I have to use someones laptop.

If the cookies are enabled in Firefox and you still have problems then you may have security software that is blocking cookies.
Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
If clearing cookies doesn't work then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

What will happen to MobileMe mailboxes in MacMail when MobileMe goes away this year?

I use the Mac mail application to handle and store years of messages for business and home use. Currently, I store the bulk of my e-mail archives, which I use regularly, on my Mac, rather than on MobileMe (which is what appears in the Mail application in the Mailbox List).
I love the ease of Time Machine, but recently had a serious outage after a series of power surges, which destroyed thousands of dollars of electronics in my home. My computer equipment had surge protection and came through fine, but I still worry about the fragility of storing data long-term in the same location as my work and home computers. I'm increasingly looking for cloud-based solutions for secure long-term storage and back-up. I've experimented with Drop Box and have migrated to iCloud, which works so much better than MobileMe that it's stunning.
Specifically, regarding the Apple Mail app, I split my storage of e-mail archives between mailboxes "On My Mac" and in "MobileMe." Can I move the Mac-based archives to "MobileMe," or will those mailboxes go away with the final transition to iCloud and the disappearance of MobileMe? And if those are to continue as a feature iCloud, can I be sure those archives (including file attachments) will be available to me in the future without worry about corruption or other data loss?

My issue is not moving folders from .mac to iCloud. The issue is that in the Mail app, my Folder List shows messages can be stored either "On My Mac," i.e. stored locally on my hard drive, or on "MobileMe," which is in the cloud. However, since I have migrated to iCloud, why does the Mail app continue to show my cloud-based e-mail storage under "MobileMe."
This raises the obvious question as to whether these archived folders labeled "MobileMe" will disappear when MobileMe fully shuts down this year. Does anyone have documentation addressing this question. If the folders listed under "MobileMe" are indeed in iCloud, why aren't they now labeled "iCloud," instead of "MobileMe"?
I don't believe this is an obvious question. For example, my understanding is that any files I have currently stored in my iDisk space on MobileMe will be lost at the shut-down of MobileMe because the iDisk app will not be supported in iCloud. At present, those files and my iDisk folders are accessible to me, even though I've migrated to iCloud and can no longer sign into other legacy MobileMe services, such as http://me.com/mail.
To be clear, I'm not looking for opinions or guesses about what might happen when MobileMe shuts down. I'm looking for Apple documentation on what services and legacy data stored in the cloud through MobileMe will be available in iCloud post-shut-down and what steps need to be taken in advance to ensure that I don't lose data.

What happens to content on Apple TV when I remove it from iTunes?

Need to relocate my MacBook Pro where I can't use it with Apple TV (an "extended temporary" condition). Want to remove Apple TV from iTunes and use the Apple TV directly with the iTunes Store and not via the MBP. Before I do this, I want to know what happens to the purchased content on the Apple TV after it is removed from iTunes. I want the Apple TV to retain the content that's currently on it. Apple TV has latest version 2 upgrade.

Why remove everything from itunes. Simply take your laptop away and do what ever it is you will be doing with it, while its away your tv will keep everything that's already on it. When it does eventually come back any content purchased on the tv will get transferred back to the laptop.

I sent mail from the keepers box to the inbox and it did not transfer. What happened to it? Can I retrieve it?

To what system are you referring? There is nothing on my iPhone called a "keepers box". Is English not your native language? If it isn't, try reposting in the language in which you're most comfortable.
The only thing I can think of is you mean the "Saved" or "Sent" folders in Mail.

something i want to know is if my exchange server is not reachable or off, what happens to the emails people send to our organisation? do they just get lost or do they get bounced back to the sender?

not really, just my exchange server took it upon it self to restart after an update even though the update was applied on Thursday at 3:00am and it restarted today.
we have a smart host but i don't know if it mail queues. it may just bounce back but either way the email are not lost at least that was my worry.
