What happens when I reach my authorize computer limit? Windows crashed

I caught a virus and now I have to restore my entire computer, but I can't connect to the Internet to deauthorize my computer. So now I'm afraid I will go over the limit. Is there some way apple can set my limit back? I seriously hope so. Any advice would be appreciated.

  • HT4527 What happens when you can't authorize anymore computers?

I have authorized 4 computers at this point for my itunes data due to computers breaking and I wanted to know what happens when you cant authorize anymore computers. How would you get everything you bought?

Then you need to de-authorize some computers or get another Apple ID. If you no longer have some computers that are still authorized:
About De-authorizing Computers (contributed by user John Galt)
You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
    Open iTunes on a computer
From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
Also, see iTunes Store- About authorization and deauthorization.

  • What happens when DBU reaches 100%

What happens to batch jobs requesting or creating VTV's when the DBU is reaching 100%? The doc says that when the DBU reaches 95%, the VTCS will switch to space release mode to try to free up space as fast as possible. But if you have peak batch processing possibly allocating up to 256 VTD's and writing lots of data, it appears there can be situations where the DBU could reach 100%.
    1. What happens to the batch jobs that are trying to write to the cache if DBU is 100%?
    a. Do they fail if cache space has been exhausted?
    b. Or do they go into a wait state or slow the writes until space is freed up.
    2. Has this ever happened to anybody?
    a. What was the impact?
    b. What was put into place to prevent this from happening again?
    TIA,
    Mike

  • What happens when you reach the maximum number of failed attempts on the lock screen password of iPod Touch?

Do you get the screen that says, "iPod is disabled. Connect to iTunes", or do you get that screen when you reach the maximum number attempts on the restrictions password?

Thank you. I am out of town traveling and my daughter sent me a picture saying the got the before mentioned message. She told me she forgot her lock screen password, and that just boggled my mind considering she locks and unlocks that thing 1000 times daily. I automatically assumed she was trying to guess the password I put on the restrictions page.

  • HT1420 What happens when you rebuild the same computer - how to deauthorize?

Over the past 6 or 7 years I have rebuilt and replaced computers, how do I deauthroize computers that no longer exist so I can continue to use what I have actually purchased? I am limited to 5 computers and apple thinks that as simultaneous however limits to a total of 5 machines regardless of how many years since the authorizations have occured.

You may or may not be able to remove those authorizations via the Deauthorize Computer command if that computer has a bootable OS on it. If it doesn't work, use the Deauthorize All function.

  • What happens when I get a new computer?

Got a new computer.  Apple software shows up as still being loaded on computer but I cannot sync the Ipod to the computer.  Tried deleting the software and starting over but I can't remember how I originally set it up since its been over two years now.  Was hoping I would just plug the Ipod into the computer and it would show up with step by step to do...but nothing.  Help?  Anyone know how to start over?  Everything is still on my Ipod.  Just need to get it synced to computer.

  • What happens when max job limit of few RAS server is reached?

Hi, I would like to know what happens when max job limit of server is reached. I know that we need to increase the job limit but my question is a bit different.
We have 7 RAS per servers. I got this message "The maximum report processing jobs limit configured by your system administrator has been reached" on 4 RAS servers but not all 7. I am tracking servers using PIDs on WIndows server 2003.
Does this means this is a warning that Job limit of 75 (in our case) has reached for 4 servers and for remaining 3 servers its still not reached. This means 3 servers are still able to handle more report request as they have not reached their max limit.
    OR
This message means all of the servers have reached to their max limit and there is no more request which can be taken.
We are doing 3000 users performance testing on 21 RAS servers.
We are on BOXI R2 SP3 on IIS and opening crystal reports using .NET SDK.
    Thanks,

This is same as my other question so I am closing this too. We have set limit as unlimited and during peak load we had almost balanced reports on all RAS.

What happens when the computer get too full of e-mails?  Will it automatically start deleting ... or give you some kind of warning??  I never delete personal mail right away since I might want to refer back to it, and then the first thing I know, I've got a big backlog.

It will not automatically delete any emails; you will need to do that. You may suffer performance  issues in Mail  if you let your mailboxes become too bloated. And, aside from Mail, the files take up a lot of room are photos, videos, and music, so you might want to watch those - every once in a while, check how much hard drive space you have and make sure you empty the trash regularly. Checking your hard drive space: highlight your Macintosh HD icon on the desktop; hit Command  + I and check the total capacity, and how much is left.

  • What happens when an iPod is synchronized with an iTunes library that is bigger than the available space on the iPod?

What happens when an iPod is synchronized with an iTunes library that is bigger than the available space on the iPod? I did this some time ago. On screen was shown available space somewhat less than 120 GB, but maybe somewhere between 10 and 20 GB more in the library. I had to get the iPod updated anyway, so I did proceed. However, afterwards the total content of the library was only about 110 GB. Now I wonder what did actually happen. Was the first sign only corrected for double copies of the same files or lost files or where files deleted from iTunes? And if files where deleted from iTunes, were they also deleted from my computer?

Same as you would if you bought a pc; copy everything from your old computer to your new one.  Then you can just sync everything from the new computer, as you did with the old one.

  • If I have two laptops connected to a single wireless hard drive, what happens when one laptop wants to go on a trip and the other one needs to stay home?

if I have two laptops connected to a single wireless hard drive (i.e. Time Capsule), what happens when one laptop wants to go on a trip and the other one needs to stay home?  I'm afraid I know the answer, but I'm hoping Apple has a great solution to my problem.

What if this little piggy goes to market but this little piggy stays home?
The computer on a trip will do snapshot backups on the hard drive that will then be incorporated into the Time Machine backup once you get it back home. See
OS X Lion- About Time Machine's "local snapshots" on portable Macs
Open the Terminal in the Utilities folder and enter or paste the appropriate command line. Press RETURN and enter your admin password when prompted. It will not be echoed.
To turn them ON: sudo tmutil enablelocal
To turn them OFF: sudo tmutil disablelocal
Note that turning them OFF will also delete all existing snapshots.

  • What happen when we connect Two PC with IP from Same subnets

Scenario 2nd : What happen when we connect Two PC with IP from Same subnets. PC1 -192.168.10.1/24 PC2 - 192.168.10.2 on a two different L2 Switch on different vlans which are connected via a LAN cable.
    All ports are access ports
Interview Question : No More Info.
    Pc1<SwA>------<SwB>PC2
Q.1 Will they communicate If yes what will be packet/frame flow.
Q.2 If not where will be the packet/frame drop. ? Why.
I need step by step if possible plz how the packet moves , vlan taggings n all internal works that happens behind .. plz
    thnx in advnce ....

    Hi Abhishesk,
The PCs should communicate each othet.
Since there is no trunk port involved, there is not tagging involved.
Since both the PCs are into the same subnet. PC1 will not need default gateway for the communication with PC2. So PC1 will start with sending ARP request for PC2 MAC address.
Since all the ports in SW1 are in same VLAN, the ARP should reach all ports including the switchport where SW2 is connected to.
Sw2 has got a complete different access port on ALL the switchports. Sw2 will receive the ARP from Sw1. Remember that there is no tagging for the frame. Hence Sw2 will again send the ARP packet to all the ports which belong to same VLAN wherein the packet is received. ie, Sw2 will send the ARP packet to all the ports in Sw2. PC2 will also get the the ARP.
The ARP reply will make it way back using the same logic.
Now both the PCs can start the actual packet exchange.

  • HT1539 What happens when you attempt to download a digital copy, but it doesn't upload in iTunes, and you're not allowed to use the code again?

What happens when you attempt to download a digital copy, but it doesn't upload in iTunes, and you're not allowed to use the code again?

Thanks for your reply, but you might have misunderstood it a bit. I'm NOT trying to buy a movie. ****, I'm not even in the actual Apple Store, when this happens I'm in the library not the Store part of iTunes.
To clarify - I have purchased a physical copy of a movie which came with another physical copy which contains the digital copy. The digital copy is on the DVD, all I need is just to transfer this file to my iPod Touch, for example, I'm not trying to download it from the store or repurchase it and it's not any gift code that I've received, the digital copy is on the disc. This is the first time ever that I've purchased something on a disc and I'm not allowed to access it because the disc hasn't been purchased within my country.
So again - I'm not attempting any purchase or download any purchased digital copy - it's on a DVD I own physically so... why is even the region of my Store relevant, the code I enter is (as I assume) just supposed to check if it's a legal genuine copy (which it is, as I've said - there are 6 discs in the pack: 3 movies on 3 Blu-rays and 3 DVD containing these digital copies of them). If I own it, I think that's proof enough that I have the right to use it. I just don't get it. I fully agree with you and understand your point if there was any purchase going on here, but it's not, it's just - I put a disc into my computer and I can't access it

  • What happens when you get Error 1905??

    ERROR 1905 MODULE C:/PROGRAM FILES/ITUNES/ITUNESMINIPLAYER.DLL

Okay...so what do I do? After this it goes to "stopping services", but says it is unable to do that. Then when I open I-tunes it says that the part of the program where the computer connects to the ipod was not installed correctly. this is soooo frustrating. my brother's had an ipod shuffle for about 2 years so itunes was already installed. i was just trying to update it so my ipod video could be read.
    iPod with Video   Windows XP

Sorry no but here is some info anyway,
We increased MaxPermSize from 192 to 512
We also increased min and max JVM Heap size to 768 and 2048 respectively.
Since then I think we have not experienced this problem more than once.
We also have one server with the default parameters and it seems to work fine.
I believe that size, and number of simultaneous request/responses have an impact  on this.
We will now install the latest updates and after that decide whether to start logging jvm activities or not.
    Best regards

  • What happens when you transfer contents?

I have my desktop backed up on a MyPassport Ultra. This computer runs Windows Vista Home Premium.  I am in the process of setting up a new laptop with Windows 8.1 which I understand about this || much. What happens when you transfer the contents? I understand that you plug the MyPassport into the laptop and it should direct me how to install what has been backed up. But what will it look like on the new computer? Will the folders be in the same directories? Where will they be stored? And can someone confirm what will NOT be backed up and transferred? I was told it would be programs that I installed, such as Paint Shop Pro, etc.
Would be very grateful for any assistance

Well! That was so much more painless than I thought, LOL. The transfer went well and I had no problems finding the files, but I apparently have not set the rules for what to copy, right. I understand from p.46 of the manual, Backing Up Files, that you select what to copy from the drop down menu under the PC/Dropbox icon. In my case that only offers Acer  (C, Data (D, and MyPassport. I chose Acer (C, thinking it copies everything on the computer except program files. But it did not copy a specific category (?) named in this image "Working".  Can you tell me what I've done wrong so I can correct it before I lose something? It would be my luck.

  • What happens when you AirDrop from Mac to iPhone and click Cancel?

I have a Late 2013 27" iMac running OS X Yosemite 10.10 and an iPhone 6 Plus running iOS 8.0.2.
I can take a PDF on my iMac, drag it to my iPhone in the AirDrop section of Finder, and it transfer to my iPhone just fine.  Once it's finished transferring, a popup shows on my iPhone asking me what app I want to open the PDF in, which is great.  At the bottom of that popup is a "Cancel" option.  My question is, what happens when you tap "Cancel" instead of one of the apps?  Is the file still somewhere on the iPhone?  Or does it get deleted?

Connecting to a new computer or iTunes will always erase the device first. Back up manually before by right clicking on the iPod in the device list and choosing "backup". A manual backup does not include the sync process. You can use this backup to restore from after your iPod got wiped during the first sync.
Transfer your purchases the same way and make sure to have at least one contact and event listed on your Mac, to be able to merge data.
See also iTunes: About iOS backups to get more info about the content of a backup, and How to back up your data and set up as a new device , if you want to know more about saving info from the iPod before setting it up in iTunes.
