iPhotos is still in your Applications folder. The iPhoto Library is still in your /Home/Pictures/ folder.

Yes OS X was updated. Now you need to make sure you have a version of the software tha'll work with it. Check with the vendor, follow QuickTimeKirks' link. -
I have had my laptop for about 5 or 6 yrs. I have had iTunes on it since I have had it. All of sudden my iTunes has stopped working. I am receiving an Error 6034 message. What has happened? I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall but did not help. I am still getting the message. I am not having any problems with it on any of my other devices. What has happened to 'Locate Images' in ID CS6?
Does anyone know what has happened to 'Locate Images' in ID CS6?
In CS5.5 when re-linking images which were missing InDesign used to highlight the image provided it was available in the folder, presumably to help out when you have folders of images. In InDesign CS6 this seems to have dissappeared and is somewhat annoying.
Also when editing an image from the contextual menu in ID CS6, and saving from photoshop or Illustrator you save over the last linked file with that name. For example we have a server which our work is stored on, we do not work directly from the server but take off the project we will be working on and do this locally then copy it back to the server overwriting with the latest version. If I, or anyone else, chooses to edit an image from within the ID doc locally once copied over, saving the edit results in the edit application (PS or AI) saving over the version that is on the server and not the local version on the Mac. So when copying over all of your hard work you are infact replacing it with a new ID doc but all the previous images & vectors etc. This makes for some confusion and took a while to work out what exactly was happening. We didn't seem to have that issue in CS5.5. Obviously we are aware of the issue now and remain vigilant, for the most part! But I wondered if anyone else had noticed this issue and how they may have resolved it?

RyanThis is two separate issues. The highlighting is a behavior change and not for the better inthe opinion of many, but nothing you can do about it at the moment.
Links, on the other hand, have ALWAYS been absolute, as long as ID can find them in the path stored in the file. Even if you copy a links folder from the server to the local machine, ID is going to ignore it and use the links on the server as long as they are there and you have a connection. -

While the Vector class is thread-safe, which means that its methods can be called without additional synchronization without risk of corrupting the Vector data structures, iterating a collection involves "check-then-act" sequences, which are at risk of failing if the collection is modified during iteration. Let's say there are three listeners in your list at the start of iteration. As you iterate through the Vector, you repeatedly call size() and get() until there are no more elements to retrieve, as in Listing 1:

But what happens if, just after you call Vector.size() for the last time, someone removes a listener from the list? This is an example of a check-then-act sequence -- you check to see if any more elements exist, and if so, you get the next element -- but in the presence of concurrent modification, the state could have changed since the check.

That is either a bug in Firefox 5 or the script has a problem with Firefox 5.<br />
It works in all other Firefox versions like Firefox 3 and 4 and 6 (Aurora) and 7 (Nightly). -

I don't know what has happened but I now can't open iphoto. I get a caution when I try which says the iphoto library is locked! It was working perfectly fine this afternoon until I tried to upload some photos from my camera and my computer started to run very slow and wasn't recognising my camera. I tried to quit iphoto and then when I came back in to it, this was the message I received. As far as I am aware I didn't alter any settings or put on any locks. Please help!!
What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later...
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

Once I downloaded the new IOS 5.0 I've lost all of my photos that were stored on my PC, and I no longer have access to them on the IPOD. Cannot figure out what has happened. Please help.
Thanks lllaass, but I am not computer literate and do not understand exactly what it is I am supposed to do. All of my photos were stored on Microsoft Windows Live Photo Gallery. When I now access the gallery the only thing that is there are the folders with the title of the folders. The pictures that were in those folders are now gone. I can no longer access them on my IPOD either. My photo library on my IPOD is now empty.

Before anyone can help, they need information to work with. Basic stuff:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. What were you doing when the problem arose?
- Did it ever work properly?
- Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
Anything else you can think of that might allow someone else to understand your issue.
With this kind of information somebody can develop a starting point for troubleshooting the issue.
