What has iPhoto done with my my movies?

Hi,
I uploaded my photos and movies onto iPhoto 11 but the movies have 'disappeared'; they don't show up at all, and I can't access them. Please help as I deleted them from my SD card!

There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

What has it done with my email?

I reinstalled my OS this weekend and when loading back up it said I had to have an email to use icloud now (I used to just have a short name which was used for mac store etc)
So I duely gave it my gmail one.
Now I cannot sign into my icloud mail. It says I have to create an email for it??
Well I tried putting in my me.com one. It says I cannot have that as its already taken. I know, its mine. But I cannot fathom what has gone wrong.
icloud knows its me for this gmail one, all my contacts have transferred etc, but it won't let me have my me.com or mac.com email addy because it thinks that belongs to someone else even though it belongs to me.
I really don't want to loose them emails, but am at a loss as to what to do.

Sign in with your @me.com address in System Preference>iCloud. (Remove the other ID first if necessary.)

What has iCloud done with my photos?

I had to restore my iPhone4 today. I had enabled iCloud already and last night upgraded to the latest ios. The most recent iCloud backup was corrupted but the one from 4 days ago seemed to work when I went to restore it...except for my photos.
I kept checking progress. The last time I checked it said it was loading back photo/video 145 of 176. When I next looked it said it had finished, but I only have 1 video and 26 photos! Where have the others gone? They were all on camera roll which iCloud supposedly backs up. What happened between supposedly downloading the 145th and finishing? Any and all help appreciated. I want my photos back. I've turned iCloud off now as I want to be able to do the back up again but I'm too nervous to try at the moment.
It's obvious I'm not the only one with this problem but there doesn't seem to be any real answers out there. Please help!

Did you have photo stream turned on? I can't tell you what happened to the backup of the camera roll... but if photo stream was on, they should still be there.
You should be extracting photos from the camera roll on a fairly regular basis, as you would with any digital camera.

What has TimeMachine done with my Mail?

Just done a clean install of Maverick to clean out all the rubbish and so far has gone great.
BUT, trying to restore Mail have hit a bit of a brick wall!!!
I have been running TM for ever, and have nothing excluded from the backups, I have never had any problems but now when I try and restore my mailboxes can't find them.
When I go into TM from Mail it shows the current situation but will not scroll back through time.
If I go into TM from Finder and use Shift Command G to get to the search function and search for ~/library/mail I get the "Folder not found message".
I presume this means that TM has not been backing up the mailboxes, is that right?
I also made a full disk clone before I started, does anybody know if I can extract the mailboxes from that without reverting the whole machine back to my pre-install state and starting again?

What has iCloud done with my iPhone 5 photos?

I did an iCloud backup of my iphone 5 before doing a clean install of IOS7. Then, I did a restore from the iCloud backup. Got my apps and everything else including my music, but I have only 29 of the dozens and dozens of photos I had on the phone. I did all this 24 hours ago and the number of photos downloaded from the cloud remains at 29. Usage says I have 10.6 GB availavle . Help.

Photo Stream photos should reappear once you turn the Photo Stream service back on:
Photos in My Photo Stream are saved on the iCloud server for 30 days.
If you sign out of iCloud or turn off My Photo Stream on an iOS device, all the images in My Photo Stream are removed from that device. The images in My Photo Stream on your other devices are not affected. Images added to My Photo Stream are saved on the iCloud server for 30 days from the date you added them to My Photo Stream. If you sign in to iCloud with the same Apple ID and turn on My Photo Stream on another device, those photos will automatically download to this device.
Is it possible the 29 photos you have currently are in your camera roll and Photo Stream is not yet turned on?

What the heck is Tuvaro and what has it done with my usual Firefox?

Yesterday, whenever I went to my usual Firefox icon, I got something opening up called Tuvaro. It won't let me toggle between my two email accounts and automatically goes back to whichever account I was using, making it impossible to even open the other account. This is a problem as they are both work accounts. In order to open the other, I have to turn off the computer and start over again, EVERY time I want to open the 'other'.
I love my Firefox and have no idea what this new stuff is or why it suddenly showed up on my computer.
Any ideas?

"app.selection[0]" – what can be done with it? (CS5)/(CS6)(JS)

This is hopefully not a simple question – because then the answer would probably be 'no'/'nothing else'.
What can be done with a selection? Is it posible to sort out the different contents within a selection, declare variables around them or give them names, and then continue from there?
I have one specific idea here. I want to select two things – one is a group, and the other is a non-grouped object, and then include that object in the original group. No – not the same as selecting them and simply grouping them, that could be done by hand. I want to include an object in a previously set group without creating another one.
It has to do with a plugin used for creating apps for mobile devices. Creating another group out of the group + item makes all previous settings assigned to the original group dissapear. Not sure if the plugin will accept this method, but it's worth a try.

Hm. This now is pure speculation on my side, 'cause you are not telling much about the plugIn that has to do with app creation.
From my knowledge of Adobe Digital Publishing Suite, and I cannot assume that you are using the DPS plugIns "Folio Builder" and "Overlay Creator", I can only guess, that you applied something like an effect (in terms of DPS an "overlay" function) to a group and afterwards grouping anew with a different object to a new group. Then the overlay is burried in that group and will not work as you expected.
I never asked myself if it will damage an applied "overlay", if the object is grouped with something that has an different "overlay" effect or no "overlay" effect at all. But I will test for that situation…
After re-reading your question you like to add the same "overlay" effect of the original group to the new group or adding a new object to the group so the effect is not lost.
In case you are working with DPS, the overlay effects are "injected" with a method you can compare directly with the JavaScript method insertLabel("KeyString","ValueString") and will stick to the object until the values are changed or the object (your group) will not exist any more (by un-grouping).
So please, tell us something more about your workflow…
It's not that easy to add an existing object to a group without un-grouping and re-grouping. And this will destroy the "injected" Key/Value-pairs of the effect.

Where are all my bookmarks - what have you done with Mozilla? you have screwed up my computer!

Everything I had on my tool bar, and all the sites listed in my Bookmarks are GONE!!!
What have you done with those sites? They were very important to me - I can not handle all these changes by Mozilla - None of these changes are of any use to me. I want to go back to my original screen and when I logged on today you would not let me access my internet and original screen without entering info that changed everything on my computer window!!! Mozilla Firefox is not user friendly - I don't want all these apps - EBay, Weather or YouTube! I had the necessary sites listed that are important and used everyday - not those listed. Who are you to determine what "apps" I should be using???

I'm desperate to get back my Bookmarks in the same unsorted way and easily accessible as I had previously - at the moment they are hidden away in some sort of zipped form I am unable to access: they were previously listed in the ideal way for me to access - as chronologically bookmarked and disparate. It really is infuriating to have this level of interference with my personal affairs on my computer without even seeking my consent. Ideally I want a return to the earlier version of Firefox which worked perfectly well for me - I'm plagued with excessive slowness and freezing since the latest -Firefox 5.0- update was installed. From ARD Client, how can I tell what has been done on my machine?

I am in a workgroup that is managed by ARD. I am not an administrator, but I'd like to get an idea of what has been done on my machine by the admin through ARD. It doesn't have to be too specific or real-time, but I'd like to get some idea. For instance, were there reports run on my application usage? Was there software installed? I'm really just fascinated by automation and software used to increase efficiency. I was thinking there would be a way to monitor incoming and outgoing requests or something, but that might not be the answer in this case. So how can I figure out what ARD admin is doing on my machine?

To answer what was asked in the subject of your question... ARD Client will not tell you anything. It is just the doorway.
There may be logs, but those would not be accessible from a non-admin account.

you have moved webdb to an enterprise-portal, with great functionality and a huge requirement
of resources. no doubt, it is a powerful product, where you can build wonderfull sites
full of surprising elements, every second character bold and blinking . . .
but you forgot the customers, who only need a simple way, to create forms and reports.
by moving portal to such a level, as you have done, you left a gap below this.
please tell me, why should i install and use such a 'mighty' product as 9iAS, when i only
need the functionality, that came with webdb??
some impressions:
- starting with the installation ( download 2 GB! a just released product and i have to download
additional 274 MB of patches, wasting more time with the patch-installation than the rest).
- space-requirements of nearly 5 GB (approx. 12 times as much as webdb 2.2)
- i have to use internet directory, management server, enterprise manager - all products,
that i don't need for the rest of my daily business and that i'm not familiar with
(until now) -> requiring additional time to become familiar with. do you realy think, that the use of all
products in your portfolio makes it easier to handle (as stated in one of the white papers?)?
It seems, that you have lost the ground!
- saving my investments by a migration path? i can forget this - oracle support surrendered and tells
me, that there is something in the installation that prevents me from upgrading.
- the product portal seems to be very 'dynamic': if i don't want to lose support, i have to upgrade
to the next release nearly every three months (one of the most important phrases, heard by support-stuff:
"you have any problem? you should upgrade to the latest release first!")

Are you inside a corporate firewall? If so, make sure that you have access to cloud.acrobat.com
If the above is not the problem, can you try to disable Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].

I had a similar-sounding problem with version 11.1.2.31 x64. Every song I played sounded as if the speakers were being over-driven.
This problem was fixed after I installed the new verion: 11.1.2.32 x64. I am using Windows 7, too.
