What I think "Shipped" means

Like many of you I order at approx 3 AM yesterday and have not received my shipping e-mail with tracking number. Given the huge amounts of iPhones ordered, it is no wonder they weren't able to process all of them today. I keep getting messages that the iPhone was shipped but I get no other information, I cannot even get a status on my order.
Since my credit card was already charged, I will on good faith assume that Verizon and placed a label on a box with my name and address on it containing an iPhone 4 with both accessories I picked up for it. I too spoke with a customer service agent because I am confused that VZW tells me my item is shipped and yet cannot provide me with a tracking number and it is normally not thier policy to charge you until the item is actually shipped. I think I will follow his advice. He said I should get an e-mail once the item has been taken possession of by UPS/FEDEX and if I had not gotten one by EOD Monday I should definitely call them back. So I think that a status of "Shipped" means that VZW has placed a label on my box but not necessarily the carrier has actually taken possession of the box.
So I will wait patiently until Monday evening for the e-mail that my prize has left the building. He did assure me that I would have one in my hand by Thursday and after all, that was all that was promised. I will be jealous of all of you who have them on Monday. Besides I have a CC charge and a receipt, not like they aren't going to give me one.

What iOS is curently on your iPod (Setting>Genral>About>Version) you need as lest 2.0 for apps but most apps need 3.0 or later.

If you bought the iphone in the US and it is locked to a specific carrier, then you can't use a different sim (from another carrier). Is this your situation?
Otherwise I'm not sure what you mean by "trying to unlock my SIM". In which country did you buy the iphone? Who's your carrier?

What does the "S" mean in reference to lenses? EF-S vs EF lens?

I have both a digital camera, the 60D, and recently acquired an EOS 1N 35mm film camera. I have bought lenses for my 60D but not the 1N film camera....was told that my 18-55mm lens for my 60D would not be interchangeable with the 1N? So, EF-S vs EF lens, what is the S and what does it indicate? What does the "S" mean in reference to lenses? EF-S vs EF lens?

In the simlpest of terms think of the S as standing for SMALL sensor. The sensor in crop bodies is much smaller in physical size than the area your film camera needs covering with when the shutter opens. An EF S lens won't allow light to cover the full area in the film or FF body. This allows smaller & cheaper lenses but at the expense of limiting their use.

What does this icon mean and why does a black battery appear behind it?

All of a sudden, since last night, an intermittently flashing black battery appears behind one of the menu bar icons. Unfortunately, I don't know what the original icon means! From right to left, I have the volume icon, the wireless connection strength icon, a telephone icon, (what I think is) an Ethernet icon, then this funny icon -- three horizontal black dots, with a thin vertical line and kind of an X running through them. (Can you tell I'm not a computer person? Anyway, can anyone interpret these signs for me? Inquiring minds would very much like to know, especially if something drastic is about to happen. TIA!

the time that it takes to reach you? or the time it takes to be prepared to get ship to you?

It should mean the anticipated date of delivery to you. This has to take account of preparing for shipping. Delivers would seem to me to be a firm statement. (But don't hold me to that) .

What does "internet ready" mean?

I have seen the phrase "internet ready" applied to photos. I have some ideas as to what this might mean, but what DOES it mean? Is it about resolution not being too dense? I know that something like 72 or 79 pixels per inch is all that one needs for a screen/monitor — so does that mean that if we want our websites to run fast, we should put all of our photos through a graphics program and lower the rez?
Or does "internet ready" refer to formatting, the shapes and proportions of photographs?

Rick, I have a bad, frustrated feeling because I do not now and never have been able to grasp -- really see -- the issue of resolution, size, and whatever. I do not understand the difference between dpi, resolution, and file size. I might have to go to some Dummy site and read up.
This is what I think I understand (which might make me very dangerous):
(1) dpi = dots per linear inch. The more dots, the better is the resolution. That's why the photos taken of me on my low dpi (VGA) cellphone camera are fuzzy, right?
(2) resolution = the quality of the viewed image. More dpi means better quality. Fewer dpi means lowered quality.
(3) file size = What? Do they mean size as how many pixels, or do they mean size in inches? What I think I understand is: If you take an image that has 700 going across horizontally, and if you print that picture in a 3" x 5" format and also an 8" x 11" format, the smaller format will have better resolution (better image quality) and the larger picture will have lesser image quality, lower resolution. And the reason is: Those 700 little pixels have to stretch out farther to cover 8" than they do to cover 3" (the top horizontal edge of the picture) and all of the thinned out pixels mean less color, less image, and that translates to a lesser quality image. Isn't it like in the 3" picture, the 700 pixels are standing shoulder to shoulder, touching each other totally, but in the 8" picture, the 700 pixels have their arms stretched out and are barely able to grab hold of the other pixels' hands, and there is a lot of space between the pixels -- an arm's length. Is this right? Or wrong?

In the AP_invoice_Distributions_All table, there is a column Reversal_Flag. What does this mean to an invoice.

1) When a reversal is done to a distribution line, it does not create a new invoice. Isnt it? No it does not.
2) When a line is reversed, the original line Reversal_FLag column is changed to Y and the new column has a Reversal_Flag column as NULL as this is >the new line.
( I mean the line which had the mistake, now has a Y flag on Reversal_Flag and the new corrected line has a NULL value). Is this thinking right? Yes, you are.
3) Lets suppose, Line 1 had a mistake, and it was reversed, and line 2 was created. And then we realized that Line 2 also has a mistake, and >reversed it to Line 3. So what are the statuses of LIne1, Line 2 and Line3 in the Reversal_Flag column in AP_Invoice_Distributions_all table?Line 1=Reversed (Yes)
Line 2=Reversed (yes)

I don't know how I could have made my question any more clear -- so let me try approaching it the other way around, and refer back to your answer(s).
You've been responding by saying that it's okay for me to remove the Creative Cloud versions of my software, but I don't have any Creative Cloud versions installed! I'm not talking about that at all, I'm talking about the software for Creative Cloud itself -- I don't use it, I don't need it, I don't want it, and all it does is nag me, telling me that there's updates for it (Creative Cloud). I have the full Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design Standard bought and paid for, I have no reason nor need to "rent" any later versions, I'm just talking about the Creative Cloud software itself that got installed on my system when I installed that suite of programs.
Like I said, I don't use Creative Cloud at all -- all it does is "nag" me, and eat up space on my hard drive. When I go in my Windows Control Panel and look at my list of installed programs, there it is -- "Adobe Creative Suite" -- and it's listed separately from "Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design Standard" (of which I've only installed Photoshop, Acrobat and InDesign, basically, as those are the only programs I use at all at the moment). Can I just uninstall "Adobe Creative Suite" without it affecting "Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design Standard", i.e. my Photoshop, etc. will still work just fine, and I can still get updates and stuff? And by "updates" I don't mean get later versions of Photoshop, etc., I just mean any possible updates to the software that I do already have (that comes with Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design Standard).
I hope that makes my question a little more clear?

What does error (-208) mean?

when I connect my ipod I get an error that says error (-208), it will update all songs and artwork, but not photos, and reseting it doesn't do the trick. Does anyone know what that error means?

It could mean your library is corrupted, but I'm not sure what to think about that in your specific situation. iTunes obviously can open the Library file on your computer.

What does "it" mean? Are you referring to Apple's mail application? The best you could do there is find the message in your junk mailbox and click the "not junk" button on top. Otherwise, it depends completely on your email provider.

Not a bad start. My only comments are:
1.) At the very top ( register / log in ), use a color such as the headline color just to add a little snap.
2.) Add some Gray to the background of your links area sections and add a little Gray to the upper bevel on the window panels for the sections. This will enforce the coordination with the logo / banner in Black. Leave the text backgrounds the color they are now, just add some contrast.
3.) I like the ease of getting around and the link navigation. Simple and clean. Nicely done.
4.) It wouldn't hurt to add a little color to the main illustration / artwork of the character stances. Nothing too distracting, some warm pastels maybe.
I didn't go any further than the home page due to time. Another concern is it is a static site for an exercise orientated site. Think about some type of quality animation for the artwork...just to motivate the vister and let them know you mean business. You're action ( so show some ). Consider some type of stock animation if you are strapped for time or do not know how to create animation. You might find something that "fits" your business and adds some life to your site. But, that said, not a bad starter site. I'm sure you've taken a look at the competition and have seen what they are doing. If not, take a minute to see what other exercise orientated sites are doing. This does not mean copy them, but use the information to help you distinguish yourself from the others. Maybe you've already done that and you do not want any cheesy animation tricks in your site because everyone else is doing it. I do not know, but I'm making some initial comments based on your site and not others. Are you saying you just started working on this May 1, 2012? Not bad for 4 days work!
