ok, i've installed this studio DVD1 which is 7GB, but i could find only the apps and the logic folder which was about 4GB. what is the rest? and where is it?

I only have the upgrade package - the first disc is called Logic Studio Install. The rest is a lot of content.. on six more DVDs...

I'm trying to figure out what samples should install and what instruments should install? As it seems like after upgrading to 8 from Logic 7, all the files have not installed.
In the Media Browser for Loops I have 19210 Loops (which seems right)

yes, some jam pack gfiles don't show.
try redoing spotlight indexing.
if you still have lp7 on board, use it's Project Manager to check also.
you should be doing all this on a test volume at first, leaving your main boot volume safe.

I've been deploying flash updates thru SCCM for a long time using the MSI. With this update, many computers updated successfully, but about 200+ of them failed. Each computer I have looked at has the message "Product: Adobe Flash Player 14 ActiveX -- The version of the Player that you are trying to install is lower than what is currently installed." in event viewer. Attempting a manual install of the MSI produces a similar interactive message. The current installed version is definitely older than the one I am attempting to install. I am only able to re-mediate by manually uninstalling, and then installing 14.0.0.176. I could script and deploy an uninstaller, but I would rather the bug with the MSI be fixed.

Yes. VS 2013 community will install the WP 8.1 emulators. You'll still need to meet the emulator
requirements for Hyper-V (SLAT, etc.).
Strictly speaking running the emulator in a VM is not supported and may not work smoothly, but some versions of VMWare will pass through hypervisor capabilities if the system supports them and the emulators can run there.

Choose what updates to install?

I have a problem that that when i deploy an operating system (SCCM2012) the computer must install lots of sotware updates which will take some time and what I need to do is to install the updates into the image.
In my environment the computers are not fully patched yet for several reasons so I want to only install those updates I have already download and deploy to the other clients.
I could use SCCM 2012 new cool Offline Servicing feature but the problem with doing it offline is that you cant install .EXE-files which many updates include. Same problem with MDTs "Install Updates Offline"-step is that it uses the same technique
as offline servicing so newly installed computers would still need to install lots of updates on the first start.
I use pure MDT to create my images because I want the image to be as vanilla as possible but the problem with MDT is that I cant choose what updates to install. The best would be if there was a step "Install Updates Onlilne" and where i could choose
an update package. This way it would install all .EXE based updates and I could copy the updates from which I have download from SCCM.
Do you understand what I am trying to accomplish? Is there a way to do this? Should I start doing captures with SCCM instead?

You say that MDT can not choose which Updates to Install. I don't understand where you are getting this assumption from. MDT can install any update you want, the only limitation is you.
Why would you want to limit yourself to installing "offline" updates, when you are *already* "online" during the creation of images.
The typical flow for creating images using MDT LiteTouch, is to Apply the OS, Install Applications, Install Updates/Patches, and then Sysprep and capture. The Install Applications/Updates steps are performed "online" while the OS is running, so there is
no artificial limitation that prevents you from running Exe updates.

Well, as I said in another thread, I want to install in an USB hard drive. But I don't know how, because it hasn't graphical installer, but text installer. I tried in a virtual machine, and it was fine, but when I want to start it, an error appears, "Was not found a bootable system" or something. Maybe a VM is not as a computer, but... well. I didn't change anything while I was installing GRUB, and I know that I've to install it in /dev/sdb.
And I want to know too, what packages to install and what packages don't (the ones which are neither "base" nor "base-devel"). But I'll install sudo, links and ndiswrapper (for wifi).

Knowing what Applications are installed

Hi,
Coming from Windows I find it difficult to find out what applications are installed on my mac. I know I can just look in the Applications folder but I am going to be upgrading to Leopard later this week and before then I would like an easy way of listing and printing off all my currently installed applications so after the Leopard upgrade I can test out what does not work and if there's no Leopard version of an app. I can uninstalled if it's not a necessity.
Any help is appreciated.

Since you are coming from Windows, FYI, where in Windows you use the Control Panel to install or uninstall programs, on a Mac, to delete an application, just drag the application folder to the Trash, then empty the Trash. Simple as that.

And, after you install Leopard, always a good idea to run Disk Utility from the Applications/Utilties folder and Repair Disk Permissions. Here is how to do that:
In Disk Utility, select the disk in the list. Click First Aid.
Click Verify Disk Permissions to test permissions or Repair Disk Permissions to test and repair permissions.

I have an iphone6 16gb and the device storage is showing more than what i have installed in it. A few days ago suddenly i got a popup window of my device storage getting full though i hardly had 4-5 apps and 500mb of photos. I tried restoring the phone and using it again as a new phone, i got my 10gb of storage but it still holds around 900 mb of storage which is not accounted. When i connect my phone to itunes, around 868mb is shown in the others section. I have no backed up data except for the contacts which are there in the icloud account. i dont understand what is that 868 mb of data.

The Premiere Elements tryout should have all the features of the program. But, remember that Premiere Elements Mac does not necessarily have all the features
of Premiere Elements Windows.
Premiere Elements Windows uses Windows fonts.
Since I am strictly an Elements Windows user, I am not sure of the details of Mac fonts. Not sure if the following will help.

Based on the Windows model, I would suspect that Premiere Elements Mac will use the Mac fonts of the Mac system.

What can I install on WS2012 Host when Hyper-V is installed ?

I think , that my question is very simple, but I couldnt find answer to everything I need.
I have one host where WS2012 R2 Std is installed with Hyper-V role only. Then I have 2 VMs installed on this host. So, my WS2012 license covers everything If I am right.
I would like to install some other software on Hyper-V host but Iam not sure If I can do it. For example, APC management tool, Backup Exec V-Ray 2014 media server with SQL database, Dell Server Administrator, Nagios NSClient.. Let`s say that all software
belongs to category "support/backup tools"
If I understand correctly, I can`t install any other role if Hyper-V is installed on this host. But what about other software? I want to be 100% compliant with the licensing.

You are right about trying to assure they are "support/backup tools", but you left one phrase off. It should be "support/backup tools for the Hyper-V host". If any of these tools are used for purposes other than managing the
Hyper-V host, then that would use one instance of the rights of the license.

What to re-install from Lenovo on a Windows 7 64-bit system

As we already have volume licences for Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit systems, I made a clean install on my new ThinkPad X201, Type: 3323, Model: 8TG. Now, apart from the rescue image in the special partition that was there when the computer arrived, I would like to have all other "Lenovo features" that were pre-installed with the factory installation that came with the computer.
I have downloaded and installet the ThinkVantage toolbox and ThinkVantage System Update. It seems that Access Connections also is installed and the Power Manager.
However I have also downloaded and installed the Fingerprint Software for Windows 7, 64-bit, but I am not sure where to find it!!!
What else would you recommend that I download and install to make it work like the pre-installed x201 version from Lenovo?
Also I would like to know if I should use Windows 7's system image builder or Lenovo's own version?
And what about the migration tool from Lenovo? Is it better in anyway than Easy File Transfer that came with Windows 7??

I cannot use 11g with what I need to use on the server.
I have installed 10.2.0.3.0 32 bit on the server 2008 R2 x64. It is not working and i get a page not found error when i browse to our application. I know i need to install a patchset or something newer than 10.2.0.3.0. How do i install the 32 bit 10.2.0.4.0 patchset on my server? Is there a different patchset i need to install? When i tried to install the patchset, it said:

Soundblaster Live! CT4620 - what driver to install for Windows XP P

Please can someone help me? I've upgraded from Windows 98SE to Windows XP Pro and need to install a driver for my Soundblaster Li've! CT4620. I tried to install one driver and it says "The Windows operating system is not supported" and the install exits. I'm stuck! What should I do?

Hi Nick,
The CT4620 is the original SB Li've! card. You should be able to install the Li've driver unipack:
Li'veDrvUni-Pack(ENG).exe
It's available under Support> Download (just select "SB Li've!" in the product list).
