What iCloud services work on an Android device?

Hi
thinking about buying an additional Samsung Galaxy III end of this month, everything is set up on Apple devices at home, so I was wondering:
What iCloud services work on a properly set up Galaxy, if other family members of mine have an iPhone running?
- iCloud Mail = check (I suppose)
- iCloud Calenders (several? synching accross several calenders?)
- iCloud address book?
iTunes should be able to synch with a third party software... so I won't ask that question...

Just thought I'd add my solution, I decided to go with WebDAV and I think it actually works better than the iTunes way, the steps are pretty much the same but avoiding the iTunes interface just makes things easier and faster.
I followed this guide but it does have a small mistake in the httpd-dav.conf file, on line 2, where it's WebServer/WebDAV">, it should be <Directory "/Library/WebServer/WebDAV">.
The tricky part is setting permissions which if wrong will give you errors when connecting with the iPad, I opted to set all to Read&Write since my home network has a hardware firewall. Another convenience was to add an alias to the webdav share on the Desktop.
I'm still expecting the call from Apple but even if they fix the iTunes I'm sticking with WebDAV, atleast until I see what's new with iOS5 and iCloud this fall which should bring true sync for documents (I'm hoping that they will offer encryption with my own keys, if not, then I'll probably keep using WebDAV).

Wow, just posting and it seems that there is a solution that is working for me...
What I've did is I turned off iTunes Match on my iPhone, then turned in on again. Now in my iTunes library on my mac I can get the duplicates to be matched or uploaded to iCloud with a right-click, add to iCloud. iTunes Match starts to check the songs and everything is done correctly. Pretty nice!

Why doesn't my php service work on the mobile device but in the emulator?

I currently have a browser version of my Flex app that uses a series of php services to provide database functionality. It works well- now I am looking to add a mobile version. I have segmented all my code such that I have a core of code that both the desktop and the mobile can use with the specifics placed on top. I have been testing my mobile version in the emulator and the php services work fine. But when I use the mobile application on the device it has no connectivity.
I have checked and:
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET"></uses-permission>
is in my manifest and in the application the permission says full network access.
I am attempting to run it on a Droid Bionic running ICS.
Also the webservice endpoint is secured. I have manually set it in the project in several locations (I don't think I missed any...)
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If serials don't work, you may simply have the wrong installer like one that is for an upgrade or different region of the world and using site license serials may not help the matter. Assuming your really mean Premiere 6, not CS6, that is. Anyway, beyond that generic advise nobody will be able to help you much. It's simply old software and even I can barely remeber those versions anymore much less any specifics regarding install and licensing back then.

WiFi not working on some android devices

I'm having trouble with the wireless connection on my new home hub 3. Most devices will connect easily, but there are three devices that have trouble connecting. These are an Android Phone (Samsung Galaxy Mini), an android tablet (Sony Tablet S) and an iPod. All of these devices work perfectly on other network connections, and other devices in the house are quite happy connecting to the network.
The Androids can see the network, and will try to connect to it, but when they do they just go through a loop of "connecting">>"acquiring IP address">>"disconnected". I have tried resetting the Home Hub with a pin, and that lets the devices connect for about 24 hours, but after that time they stop connecting again.
I'm really not sure what to do to fix the problem, so I will very much appreciate some help.

Have you installed the BTFon app to these devices?
If so, you could delete it and then see what hapens.....

Video doesn't work on some Android devices

I wrote a small app for Android and I'm trying to show a movie from the net. Everything works on the AIR simulator, the problem starts when I try to run it on my device. I have a Galaxy S4 with Android 4.2.2 and I'm using AIR 3.8 (captive with the app).
Now, if I try to load another movie it works fine, so my code seems to be OK.
Further, I sent my APK with a link to the original movie (that my device doesn't show) to someone else and on his device that movie worked.
Even further, if I just download that movie to my device and load it to one of the video player apps it is shown just fine.

I'm using the standard Video class with a NetStream to show this video.
Can anyone think of a reason why this movie would work on some devices but no on others? Can it be some kind of codec problem?

HT204150 icloud syncing works fine between iOS devices, but not to iCloud online and to my macbook...

I have all my devices set up with the same iCloud id. Though, when I create a new contact on my iPhone, it syncs to my iPad, but not to my macbook, and not to www.icloud.com.
Is anyone having similar problems ?

If I go to the My Account Settings (clicking on my name on the Home page of iCloud) the Apple ID indicates [email protected]
That is not my Apple ID (at least as far as I am concerned!)
As I indicated, my iCloud email account in the iCloud web page only shows a few very old emails, none more recent than early August.
The iCloud control panel on my PC is the most current as of today.
Keep the ideas coming.

Joikuspot (free) and Android Devices

I want to get a tablet. Thinking of Android...but I tried to use my N8 with Joikuspot free at an electronics store with a bunch of tablets. All worked except for Android devices, Ipads and some other no name brands with proprietary OS tablets found it and it worked. All laptops also found it. But no Android tablets or phones in the area detected it.
One Android device foun it (Jellybean) but would not connect.
I read that Android does not support Ad Hoc connections which Joikuspot provides.
I tried some Android forums, but they either had a Bluetooth solution (too slow) or they said try the Nokia forums.
Besides Joikuspot - any other Wifi hotspot apps? Would Joiku Spot full work - anyone have it and try it with and Android device?
Anyone have suggestions?

It does seem to be possible to make android work with ad-hoc wifi. Search for "android ad-hoc wifi" - but it does seem to carry quite a highrisk of causing problems. I could try it out on my tablet, but it is unstable enough as it is so I don't want to risk making it even worse.
I wish it was possible to install Symbian onto my android tablet, but failing that I think I will soon be jumping ship to apple - influenced somewhat by the idea of a display that will do the 808 pictures justice.

Air support for Intel based Android devices

My company is currently developing a cross-platform app, but we've hit a snag - it won't run on Intel based Android devices.
The reason we chose Air is because we thought it would be truly cross-platform for the benefit of our customers, but it seems we missed this information somehow...
We want our customers to be able to use our solution on any Android device, and we're not sure how much this limitation will affect this (we need to consider the worst case scenario).
We are now fairly far into development and while we don't want to drop this project and start over using another framework which will work on all Android devices, we do need to take it into consideration.
I have read the documentation and I know that as it currently stands, information about Intel support has not been made public.
But, for our business decisions and for our customers, we do need to know is if supporting these devices is on the roadmap in any shape or form, or if it will probably never be supported?

Not sure if it helps, but I chose to use Xamarin instead. Managed to auto convert about 80% of the ActionScript code into C#. The rest 20% is UI code only which has to be different for iOS and Android. The whole project took about 1.5 months (just iOS so far) and the new app was submitted to Apple yesterday. The process was pretty smooth and I didn't really face any serious issues with the platform. Now I'm waiting for my users feedback. The platform still has to prove itself though since my testing was quite limited.

Can't see tabs from my PC on my Android device after syncing

Despite pairing my android device and pc and updating my firefox sync I am still unable to view the opened tabs from my PC on my Android device.
Can you please tell me how to see all my current open tabs that are on my PC, and view them on my Android device? Isn't that what sync is supposed to do?

Here is what I am seeing on my Android device - at the top, a few options like History > Top Sites> Bookmarks>Reading List. Then, the search/address bar, then to the right of that, a square with the number "1" inside it, then 3 dots that, when chosen, give you the following options:

Request Desktop Site

Settings
Any thoughts on how I specifically sync my Desktop open tabs to my Android device so I can then see all my desktop open tabs on my phone?

Lets take first issue first: Apple does not charge a customer to 'keep' iPad access. That does not happen at apple. If you were billed and charged that amount of money from someone you were speaking to over the phone, you were not talking with Apple support. If you need to speak with apple support you are free to call them at 800MYAPPLE and they will talk to you for no more money than 19.00/ support event.
