What idiots created the "Switch between apps" tab?

Really?
Microsoft, you've created a major screw up and offer no solution for this. I purchased a new laptop, (has a touchscreen), and I can not get rid of the "Switch between apps" tab without restarting the computer.
Swiping it does nothing, it stays. Clicking the top left corner or touching there does nothing. It just sits there determined to be a pain and take up part of the screen.
What idiot designed this function. Have they been fired? Why does Microsoft refuse to respond with a fix or answer to all of the people asking to resolve this?

Sorry for this annoying phenomenon, it should not be like this in most situation.
I want to provide my help to help you get rid of this issue, instead of restarting your computer.
Open Local Group Policy Editor, you can press Win+R to get the prompt, type
gpedit.msc and press Enter.
In the left pane, click/tap on to expand User Configuration, Administrative Templates, Windows Components, and Edge UI
In the right pane of Edge UI, double click/tap on Disable help tips to edit it:
Set the configuration to Enabled.
Select Apply and exit Local Group Policy Editor.

Swiping up from the bottom of the screen with four fingers did not bring up the app preview. A single press on the home button still brings me back to the home screen, but a double press of the home button does nothing following updating to 7.1 Given that, when I added a software home button as suggested by DIAVONEX, I found that all of the apps WERE still open! So thank you DIAVONEX, and you should be careful, bobseufert, as your information was inaccurate.( I did try turning it off and that didn't change anything. ) I don't really want a software home button on my screen, but I guess I will use it until either there is another update to resolve this glitch or someone else identifies a quirky setting that I inadvertently activated...

CC aplications go to white screen and lock up the computer when switching between apps

We have been successfully using CC for several months, then about 30 days ago suddenly when we tried to switch apps between dreamweaver, and Photoshop the computer went to a White screen and froze. This problem is completely repeatable, and we are at a complete loss to correct the problem. Any ideas? It doesnt do this when you switch withing Bridge and Photoshop, but with anythign else,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, CRASH!!

I am unable to get into the chat. I tried explorer and chrome and neither will allow us to access the chat. It continues to go around and around.

I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6.

How can I switch between apps without going to home screen?

Is there anyway to switch between apps with one tap? (ie. without going to home screen first). Kind of like a command-tab feature.

Well, you can have one app that you can get to with a double push of the home button (set in settings which you want), but I think it's only your contacts list, or your ipod app. Still useful though.

Hold down the cmd (⌘) key and briefly press the tab key (⇥) then use the left/right arrow keys to select the application you wish to switch to. When done release the cmd key.

No. The closest you'll come is the "Multi-tasking" bar: Double tap the Home button.

What do you mean here? You can only restrict the camera itself, not any options within the camera app.

when i am trying to create the trasformation between my DataSource and InfoCube through "Create Trasformation"...in the source of trasformation area when i am giving my DataSource 0CO-OM_CCA_1 and in the Source System T90CLNT090. system is showing the message "Source RSDS 0CO_OM_CCA_1 T90CLNT090 not active".......what to do ???.....then I went and check the monitoring tab there I got the system message that I am attaching belowu2026u2026Please provide the solution..........previously when i was doing that time there was no problem, but i was unable to transfer the data from my PSA to Infocube. The A version of the emulated 3.x DataSource cannot be displayed because no active transfer structure with PSA is available.
Procedure
Create a mapping between the 3.x DataSource and a 3.x InfoSource and activate the transfer rules. Select PSA as the transfer method in the 3.x InfoSource.
Alternatively, you can migrate the 3.x DataSource in a DataSource to create an active version.u201D

when u deleted tranfer rule , psa for the DataSource 0CO-OM_CCA_1 is no longer available..
since u plan to use transformation, its better to migrate the DataSource 0CO-OM_CCA_1 to 7.0 version...
just select the datasource and right click.. migrate to 7.0... once its migrated, u can create the transformation..also create info package and DTP for loading data to cube...
if u don't want to migrate to 7.x .. then create infosource .. transfer rule and update rule..

Remove switch between apps tip

The tip "switch between apps" will not go away. I have tried doing what the tip says but it won't go away.

Switch Between Apps shortcut doesn't work, tip won't go away

The only solution I could find for this is to move my mouse to the top left of the screen, but it doesn't work when I do. Therefore, whenever I have an app open, the ****ing tip to switch between apps won't leave my screen. Same thing for the tip that
shows me where the start button is, only when the tip isn't actually there, I can use the button without a hitch. Seriously frustrating considering I haven't had a computer for almost a week and this happened the moment I started it up.

Dreamweaver 6.1 - JavaScript error when switching between open tabs

When switching between open tabs a sequence of javascript
errors occurs. I had not used Dreamweaver for about 2 weeks, and
last time I used it with no problems.
I have tried uninstalling it, OKing removal of all files when
asked, re-installing it and updating with dwmx61_updater.exe, but I
still get the same errors.
This has rendered the software virtually unuseable, so any
help would be greatly appreciated, as I'm working to a
rapidly-approaching deadline.

Quit DW.
Find this folder -
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application
Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
8\Configuration\WinFileCache-*.dat
(these folders are normally hidden - you may have to use
Explorer > Tools >
Folder Options to unhide them)
and delete it.
Restart DW. Works better?

How do I stop Firefox mobile from having to restart when switching between apps?

When I'm switching between apps, firefox takes 10 seconds to load up again. Why isn't it already loaded since I just had it up? The Opera browser doesn't do that.

I have one requirement that there is one property table named 'Store Master' in DW,and it contains a lot of attribute, such as Open Date, Close Date, IS 24 Hour etc.
But another data source is essbase and based on this source, I create all reports.
In ESSBASE, it has one dimension and hierarchy Location, and it has four level, Country(L1),Region (L2),Province(L3),Store(L4)
So I want to know how to create the relationship between Location (ESSBASE) and Store Master (DM).
I try to create one relationship in physical layer between Gen4,Location and Store, then drag the open date and close date into Location Dimension in BMM,then Presentation Layer.
When I drag column 'Open Date' ,'Gen4,Location ' and 'Sales' into reports, it will generate the following error message:
State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. [nQSError: 43119] Query Failed: [nQSError: 14020] None of the fact tables are compatible with the query request Dim Region.Store Open Date. (HY000)
However, when I remove the column 'Open Date'. it will be ok.
So what I missing the steps? Please help me. Thanks.

I am not sure if you are talking about the length(as in varchar(128)) of the member value being different in different sources, or the member itself is different in both the sources.
I am still assuming, that you are referring to the members not same in both the sources.If it is, the whole concept of federation is based on conforming dimensions. So, it needs that the same dimension information is present in both the sources and then only, you know we can analyze the numbers based on this dimension. So, either the dimension being different in both sources, or the members not present in both the dimensions might lead to incorrect numbers.
So I select Store Attributes in relation DB and Location in ESSBASE in physical layer, then create the physical join, such as right("Hour Sales"."H_Sales".""."H_Sales"."Gen6,Location",4) = "Authorization".""."EDW"."T_EDW_MDM_STORE"."US_CODE", then drag the OPEN_DATE and CLOSE_DATE in relation DB to Location in ESSBASE in BMM,finially drag them into presentation layer.We create physical layer relationships, to send over the same relation to the underlying database during querying. So, creating a physical relationship between essbase cube and relation database would not help here.
When you set up this federation, BI Server sends individual queries to each source and maps the conforming dimension members internally.

IPod on iPhone 4 starts playing when switching between apps

My iPhone 4's iPod starts playing when I switch between apps, it goes on and off

Not sure if this is the deal or not, when I click on my ipod app it's playing a song, I can't here any music but the pause button is showing, is it playing and running down the battery.. BTW I never seem to have earphones around to see if it's playing, however I have sync in my car and it is playing when I switch to aux..
