    No, and I doubt any of those stores will open box after box to see what OS is pre-installed. Given the pace of iPhone 4 sales, you're most likely gonna get 4.1.

    There is no Apple Store in Kuwait (not one run by Apple themselves, in any case). Viva and Zain are the only authorized resellers of the iPhone in Kuwait.

    So my mom knocked her iPhone 4 into the washer a while back and I was on her Verizon plan and switched to my boyfriends straight talk plan and got a Samsung Centra. So I called the Apple store and they said it'd only be $149 to fix it. And all I would do is bring it in and pay my money and they'd give me a brand new one. What service would it be hooked up to?     Under the out of warranty replacement program, you get an iPhone identical to the one you are replacing...same color, same storage capacity, locked to the same carrier if it is carrier specific.  You will have to activate it for use with Verizon just like it was done with the old iPhone.

    Just bought one, works fine, even entered the hardware serial number to find out what coverage is available for it and its covered until September 2008, and thinking to apply for AppleCare Protection Plan. I don't claim that everything on ebay is fine, there are a lot of fakes and such a puchase is for experiensed ebay users ONLY.
    But it can be unlocked and until they set it free, there will be thousants sold like mine. I wouldn't wait for some months to buy it from the well known phone resailer in Greece, who could give me no support at all, with a closed contract with a provider for I don't know how many years and pay double as much as it really costs.

    Look for a 3rd party repair shop that can fix it in your area. It wouldn't be covered by warranty anyway.

    If you purchase an unlocked iPhone it will work on any supported gsm network.
    Just FYI, apple will not ship outside the country in which the device is purchased. A device purchased in the Hong Kong website must have a shipping and billing address in Hong Kong.
    Also, warranty and support are only valid in the country of origin.

    The US Apple Store accepts US-issued credit cards only. And they will ship only to a US address. Whether or not a physical Apple Store would accept a Lebanese credit card I don't know.

    Well, the 16GB unlocked iPhone 5 will reportedly cost $649+Tax here (don't know for sure as Apple has not put them on the web site yet).  You cannot buy unless you have a US form of payment, with a US billing address and a US shipping address (they WILL NOT ship outside of the USA).  Or, you could pay for a trip here and buy it in person.  Of course, if/when LTE comes to India, it probably will not work.  And if you need warranty service, you would have to return to the USA to get it as the iPhone warranty is not international.
    All that to save about $100, and get a phone that if it has problems, you cannot even get warranty service on?  If the $100 saving is that critical to you, it might suggest you should be shopping for a much cheaper phone in the first place.

    You can buy a factory unlocked on direct from Apple sim free, make sure you get the right one and not just a contract free one.  I am sure  one of our US members will be able to give you the price.

    Have you redeemed your iTunes card to an account associated with an Apple ID?
    Once you have your iPad associated with an Apple ID AND you have an account with a credit card associated with the same Apple ID AND you have some 'store credit' (from redeeming your iTunes card) then purchases use the store credit before they charge the credit card, so you should be ok!
    Personally, I use 'store credit' as a way to monitor whether or not there have been any 'unauthorised' purchases because as soon as the store credit is zero, the security code from the credit card is needed for further purchases!  It does mean that I have sometimes to top up store credit before making a purchase, but 'better safe than sorry'!
