What if i dont want to 'restore' my ipod??help!
I usually use my ipod on my dad's imac, but now want to use it on my own pc, on which i have itunes. I keep getting a message telling me i need to update my ipod, but it will only give me the 'restore' option, which will erase all my music from my ipod. As i already have 2000 songs on my ipod, which are not on my pc, i obviously dont want to do this!! Is there any way I can get my PC to recognise my ipod without doing this?? Katey
Sorry no. But, if you restore it on the PC, you can use it on both. I suggest you restore on the pc, connect to the iMac, transfer over all your songs on to the iPod under "my computer " or the OSX equvilant and copy them on to the windows PC. Then use iTunes to copy all your songs onto the iPod.

You've already lost ALL data on your phone. There is nothing to recover. -
i am upgrading my 2008 macbook to an ssd drive and want to save my settings. how do i save then? I have my files backed up with time machine ,but dont want to restore all files ,as there might be some junk backed up too. Help will be appretiated
When you restore from a Time Machine back up you can pick and chose what is restored. It is not an all or nothing process. Nor do you have to do the partial restores all at the same time. If days after the first partial restore you find something else you want you can restore just that.

I wanted to restore my ipod touch 4G, but everytime it is restoring with the apple logo, the screen goes partially white and my itunes says "error 9"... what should i do?
plz answer me~Error 9
This error occurs when the device unexpectedly loses its USB connection with iTunes. This can occur if the device is manually disconnected during the restore process. This issue can be resolved by performing USB troubleshooting, using a different USB dock-connector cable, trying another USB port, restoring on another computer, or by eliminating conflicts from third-party security software.
