What if I uninstall/reinstall
I cannot find my library or music anywhere since updated Itunes 8 and then the Ipod freezing and having to restore it so have lost all newly purchased product which was on Itunes 7.
Have been reading many discussions and wondering if it would be worth uninstalling Itunes 8 and reinstalling 7? Or would that do more damage to locating my library - I am needing to find it urgently as am travelling and waiting on a support email to respond from Itunes. When I go to download my product which says is there to download it says the store is temporarily unavailable - after TWO DAYS? Too long and I am brand new to MP3 and this technology and it has turned me off!
I am not sure perhaps you can understand because I am new to this. I purchased songs on wi fi network and the following day connected my Ipod to the main computer I have and the songlist came up and started playing but stopped suddenly and I was told to update to Itunes 8 which I did, then it said the Ipod had a problem and had to be restored. I didn't want to restore as I had not yet found my library as was in process of syncing when I had to update. Therefore after restoring I lost everything on the Ipod and when I went to computer to find it it was not there. Istore says I have downloads available which is probably the purchased music but every time I try to download it says it is temporarily unavailable and has said that for days. This is all working from the one main computer at this point - the laptop is a backup which I have only downloaded Itunes 8 to see if I could find it as it has Vista and different settings but same problem. I just think the music has not been imported to my computer but I cannot access Itunes

I cant print anything now from my computer to my hp printer. Never had this happen until November or December. Then it seemed to be OK. now today I cant print one thing. not from my gmail, or the Matrix portal I use as a realtor. My office partner is connected to the same printer and his is fine. Mine prints nothing. All I get is a print screen that says loading preview... and the .. keep moving and nothing ever shows up. If I try to to to a PDF (which is the only way we could print anything after some update last fall from the Matrix portal) it just spins ... and nothing happens . WE use to be able to print without having to save everything to a download and that changed. now I cant print anything. I need help fast.... I can't get my work done at all and I'm getting very frustrated.
I uninstalled the adobe reader and re-installed it and nothing helps. We have 2 others printers in our office and it wont let me print to them either or allow me to save it as a PDF so I can print it out that way.;
I need HELP!!! Can't work this way and not sure what happened to cause this problem as things were fine earlier today. -
Since I migrated my files from one Mac to another and am now running Yosemite, Photoshop Elements 9 (adequate for what I do) is not showing the previous functionality on some of the tools. I have uninstalled/reinstalled twice to no avail. Is there a fix? Also, when I tried to update, it comes up with this error.
I have a similar problem. I found out that my macbook air created a new USER with my former's computer user name. You can check that by going into System Preferences -> User & Groups, and see if a "Other user" has been created. You have to login under this new USER to find your transferred contacts in the address book.
My problem is that I do not know how to merge the 2 USER logins or transfer the data from the new USER created into the existing one. -
I have spent hours trying to get itunes working on my laptop.
The only functinoality I crave is to be able to get pictures off my iphone 5 (which has the latest ios installed.), as almost all other functinoality of itunes I find painful beyond belief. It has the worst ergonomics I think of any software I have ever used, which is bizarely at odds with the mobile decvices, which by and large work quite nicely (indeed, why I bought them!)
My laptop runs windows 7. It has all the latest microsoft updates installed (I am religious about this: it always has had.)
I have run itunes on this machine for some years, regularly updating when I am prompted to.
A few days back i was prompted to update to 11.1.4
It failed to install badly. whatever I try at some point during the install process the installer just hangs, or never terminates.
All communication between computer and iphone functionality has been lost.
Nothing eles on my machine is behaving oddly. slowly etc. it is only apple stuff that isn't working.
I googled and found a lot of recurring themes on apple forums:
So far I have tried:
uninstalling / reinstalling. (hangs during installation).
Restarting the machine between uninstall and reinstall.
Searching and removing any directories/ contents related to apple, after the uninstall, prior to machine reboot.
I have even used iobit uninstaller, as removing apple software as you know is almost impossible (ever tried disabbling the quicktime updater that runs at startup? it's like a virus !!)
I have removed all apple software incl quicktime.
I have tried the microsoft software installer fixit link often posted to.
i have tried unpacking the apple installation file, using the latest version of winrar, to try installing one at a time.
I have found the installation is very very very slow (it looks as though it hangs, but i leave it running in the background, after 15-20 minutes, the status starts advancing for example). so far I have managed to install the first few components up to applesoftware update,msi, and they seem to need to be run multiple times.

I presume there is some kind of generic bug in this installer: as a friend had exactly the same problem on sunday night, with a different machine, running windows 7, and a couple of her colleagues at work has had the self same problem over the weekend, though none of them seem to have gone to the lengths I have yet !
I tried doing a system restore, but my machine seems to have lunched all previous system restore points, so I can't . Arrrrrgggg !
Is an older version of itunes available so i can install that instead ?

I don't know what the link is between the new creative cloud update in january and the loss of my apps & downloading error after that update, to the desktop window?
Before that I hadn't had any trouble with the apps window..all the other parts are syncing and seem fine?
I uninstalled & reinstalled the creative cloud desktop
I installed the yosemite os x to see if the new interface was an issue...all was fine with the yosemite install
I have checked for the answer in the troubleshooting guide
nothing seems to apply at this point...

I have lost my itunes library after updating it. Have tried uninstalling/reinstalling it and it gets so far then tells me that it cannot be installed because MSVCR80.dll is not installed on my pc. I have no idea what this is and have googled it, followed links to sites that say they can fix it, only for them to scan, tell me I have 3 thousand issues and then want me to pay $30 dollars to fix it for me. This message also appears on firing up my pc too.
Can anyone help please?I've been through the exact same thing and cannot seem to get an answer here. When you go to Manage Storage, does it have something at the top like "19.1 GB of 25 GB available"? I only have a Mail account with 5.3 GB in it and a Backups account with 553 MB in it. Obviously, these don't add up to 19.1 GB. There was no change in any of these numbers when I deleted all the same files you mention. With the free Mobile Me storage expiring next month, this is something I'm pretty concerned about.

Even after uninstalling, reinstalling Firefox, the Firefox profile folder is empty, and I get the message "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system." I have followed all the directions I can find, on my computer and Firefox Support. Still, the same message comes up, and "firefox" is not shown in my Windows Task Manager.
What can I do?Delete the profiles.ini file and let Firefox create a new default profile.

I can use the regular tabs, but new tabs will continue to open with strange things on them. One was marked as a Dangerous page by my anti-virus program (Trend Micro).
Don't what to say but WOW! downloaded and ran malwarebytes. It found a Trojan and something else. At the same time, my Trend Micro finally ran a scan and found 2 trojans and a cycbot, both associated with Adobe. Did the superantispyware program too, found a couple things. Uninstalled reinstalled firefox without any of the old personal settings, so NO add-ons at all. Opened in SAFE MODE and the error STILL persists. Computer does not want to shut-down and I find that I can do a few things then programs won't open anymore (such as my Trend Micro antivirus and even firefox.) I have no idea how any of this happened. I know a fair amount about computers and do NOT open links etc that I am not sure about. It was working fine while using in my truck yesterday. When I brought it in the house, it started doing all this. Just plain WEIRD! Any other ideas?

Itunes isn't working properly. I get this message every time I try and open Itunes. I've uninstalled, reinstalled itunes and all the support programs. Quicktime and Safari launch fine. Tried it with Nortons antivirus turned on and turned off etc. I've gone through the Apple Support file and removed the itunes preference files, I've started in safe mode and it still persists. This only started about a week ago when I changed over to my Iphone 4s. My phone loaded fine and backed up etc and now NOTHING....

I think I isolated the problem to Norton Internet Security 2012 v 18.6.0.29 - iTunes would start fine with NAV Antivirus Auto-Protect disabled but crashed if Auto-Protect was on. I tried running iTunes as administrator (right click on the icon and select "Run as Administrator"; to make this permanent right click on the icon > Properties > On the Shortcut tab, click Advanced > tick Run as Administrator) and iTunes now runs fine. Maybe give that a try?

You can uninstall Acrobat using the Cleaner Tool for Acrobat.

Firefox will no longer run on my computer. It's been working fine up until a few days ago. Installed the updates and now nothing. Uninstalled, reinstalled (numerous times). Click the icon and nothing. Hour glass comes up for a second and then it is gone. Running XP ver 5.1 (service pack 3) edit. I'm no techie so I have no clue what is causing this or what to do. I love firefox and miss it greatly. Anyone know what I can do to get it back?

My recommendation would be to contact Adobe, since they have the ability to walk you through some troubleshooting steps. But it looks like they've already thrown it to us!
1) Have you manually gone to Windows Update and ensured you have even the non-critical updates (which can include important drivers)?
2) Have you manually gone to the ATI or nVidia sites and ensured you have the latest drivers for your graphics card?
3) Have you cleaned your temp files and defragmented your drive(s)?
4) Have you ensured that the program's licensing has not corrupted? http://forums.adobe.com/thread/542377
Finally, you say the program won't launch. At what point does it fail? Do you get a Welcome Screen? Does it only fail when you try to open yesterday's project or does it also fail if you try to start a new project?
Another other details you can provide could also be helpful including: How fast your processor is, how much RAM you have, how much free, clean defragmented space is on your hard drive(s) and if you are editing on your C drive or if you have your media and project files on another drive. -

Hopefully, I'm getting close to the end of this saga, but maybe my personal observations and others comments will make the ride smoother for others.
The reason for this Uninstall, ReInstall was some LDAP error's that I'm hoping to have resolved.
The 1st time I uninstalled, using Control Panel, it could not find the uninstall .jar, so the CL window flashed and closed.
When I did reinstall v6.0 and SP1, I was successful, but Tomcat would not start the 'idm' context. Here are a few of the logged errors:
SEVERE: Context [idm] startup failed due to previous errors
java.lang.ClassCastException: com.sun.idm.idmx.web.AuthFilter cannot be cast to javax.servlet.Filter
Repository issues:
Is running the 'drop_waveset_tables', the same as manually doing 'drop database waveset' ?
If I've exported my repository data using console - export cmd ?
Do I run 'create_waveset_tables' during installation and then use console - import on top of it ?
Or can I do a full installation without a repository, until I use run 'import' ?
Behind the scenes:
- I've noted the C:\WINDOWS\system32\productregistry (xml)
-any registry settings ( I wouldn't know what they are )

I noticed your post about the installation that may not be completing successfully, and I wanted to share my suggestion with you, that might help!
Try a level 3 uninstall to completely remove all of the HP printer files, and then reinstall the full driver. The steps are as follows:
1. Click Start and type %temp% in the run field, press enter to open the temp folder
2. Look for, and open the folder starting with 7z (Example: 7zS2356) (If there is more than one, choose the most recent folder)
3. Open folder Util
4. Open folder CCC
5.Run the L3uninstall.exe (may also be a .bat file)
6. When the uninstall has completed restart the computer
7. Run Disk cleanup from Accessories\ System Tools
8. Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

9. Download the full feature software and drivers from here: HP Photosmart C4500/C4524 All-in-One Printer series Full Feature Software and Driver
10. Run the download and reinstall the printer
